Joseph D. Kayne, DDS Dr. Joseph Kayne obtained his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. From there he attended an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he received advanced training in all areas of dentistry. Dr. Kayne then practiced dentistry in New Jersey for the Air Force, where he was able to gain significant experience with difficult crown and bridge treatments, implants, and complicated root canal treatment. He believes education is integral to good clinical practice, which is why he completes far more than the yearly required continuing education every year. Dr. Kayne enjoys every aspect of dentistry, but most of all he enjoys the time he spends getting to know his patients. He believes that good dentistry can only be accomplished with good communication.
Dr. Kayne was born and raised in Longview, Texas. He met his wife, Becca, while they were both attending Brigham Young University, and they were married in her hometown of St. George. They have two beautiful daughters, ages 8 and 6, and an adorable little baby boy. Dr. Kaynes hobbies include playing the guitar and the piano, hiking, fishing, and doing anything outdoors where he can see the mountains. In his spare time, he likes to garden and has a secret love of all things nautical. He also enjoys cooking Chinese food, visiting new places with his wife, and playing games with his family. He is very excited meet each of you and to build long-term relationships.
Eric I. Tidwell, DDS Dr. Eric Tidwell graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry and was a member of the honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon society. He then completed an advanced training residency in general dentistry at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE. After serving two more years in the Air Force in Redlands, California, Dr. Tidwell started his practice in Provo, UT. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Utah Dental Association, and he is very active in serving in his community.
Dr. Tidwell grew up in El Segundo, CA, where he developed a love for baseball and basketball, and especially the beach. He enjoys biking, hiking, traveling, and more than anything, he loves spending time with his wife, kids, and six awesome grandchildren.
Amanda Jensen Amanda Jensen grew up in Skagway, Alaska. Amanda received her Bachelors degree in health science at Utah State University. Then she went on to hygiene school at Utah College of Dental Hygiene. She loves hiking, running and visiting the Pacific Northwest. Amanda has been working here at Rock Canyon Dentistry for about a year and a half as a hygienist. She is so sweet and does and amazing job!

I had not been to their office since they moved into a new facility. Even though I thought I knew just where it was, I got lost and was quite late! The receptionist tried to guide me on the phone numerous times and when I finally arrived, the entire staff was gracious, respectful, and still willing to carry on with my appt. even though I was late! The care they then provided was efficient, thorough, and skillful.I would highly recommend Rock Canyon Dentistry to anyone!

How to explain how excellent this dentist is? First off I have a fear of dentist unlike most people people fear's my are grounded in trauma. I have tried multiple dentist over the past couple years and never found one that was the complete package. My doctors has the best bedside manner of any dentist I have met. He takes great pride in his work and it shows through results. I have never have a dentist that didn't Inflict some pain no matter how hard they try, however I have never felt pain once even the needle that numb you. Every employee I have met there has been extremely nice and helpful. I have never been able to completely fix all the problems with my mouth because I haven't been able to find a dentist that I could carry on treatment with. I proud to say that after my 4th appointment I only have a couple more to have my teeth completely taken care of. That's all because of how great the dentist is. He also cares about cost and how it affects you. If your looking for a better dentist I would recommend his service to my family and friends. Again I'm excited to have good looking teeth!

We just moved to the Provo Area and needed to find a new Dentist. My wife heard from members of our Ward about Rock Canyon Dentistry and Dr Kayne. She made us both appointments. The entire experience was amazing. They definitely went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. Dr Kayne came in and took the time to talk with us and get to know us. I was very satisfied with the extra level of care they took with me and we will definitely be returning patients.

I recently had our family checkup and cleanings and as usual, had a good experience with Rock Canyon Dentistry. We have been going to them for years. It took us several years after moving to Provo to find the right dentist. We hit the jackpot with Rock Canyon Dentistry. They do everything right. From texting about appointments (who loves phone calls anymore?) To amazing, gentle dentists who think being dentists is the coolest thing ever, to awesome hygienists & even kind & helpful office staff. We are really happy that they take our opinions about our teeth seriously, are willing to wait on some work if we want, and are competitively priced.

We had a great experience at Rock Canyon Dentistry today. We were greeted by the receptionist and check in was easy. The hygienist was super great and very gentle. Dr. Kayne is very friendly and personable. The office was extremely clean. We have found our new dentist here.

This is the best dentist office I have ever been to! From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable and are treated with respect. I have had experience with both Dr. Kayne and Dr. Wilson. They are warm, honest and they do great work! I have also really liked the hygienists who have assisted them as well. I truly can't recommend their office enough!

I am not one to typically leave reviews but this experience is deserving of one. Dr. Wilson is fantastic. I highly recommend him and this practice. I have a strong fear of dentists stemming from a traumatic experience as a child and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Great staff, friendly all around. Thank you!

I scheduled an appointment with this place based on their high reviews, and I'm SO glad I did! It is such a great place. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Dr. Wilson is the dentist who worked with me and we can't say enough great things about him. He's also hilarious and always keeps things light and never fails to make us laugh. I originally scheduled an appointment for a cleaning, and we ended up scheduling an appointment to get my wisdom teeth removed afterwards. He answered all of my questions beforehand and I felt comfortable having him remove them because of that. I had an unexpected small complication come up with one of the sockets a few days after removal, and he was quick to respond and did whatever he could to make sure I was well taken care of. He came into the office on a day that he doesn't work just to make sure I was ok, and even went back into the office one night after leaving for the day just to prescribe some more medication for me. He'll really do whatever he can to make sure someone is comfortable, pain-free, and good to go. Claire, one of the front desk ladies, is also super nice and was always there to answer questions I had as well. I love how when I walk in they greet me by my name and are so kind. Love this place and can't recommend them enough!

I love this place! I've gone to quite a few dentists in UT valley that have 5 stars on google reviews but don't have 5 star service. Many offices get their patients to leave 5 star reviews in exchange for gifts. My review is genuine! The receptionists know me by name (which is really cool because no one knows how to pronounce my name, let alone remember it ) and all the staff is so nice. I saw Dr. Wilson for the first time and he is awesome.

Having practiced general dentistry myself for 21+ years, I know an excellent dentist when I am treated by one. Dr. Kayne just did 2 crowns and a filling for me, and he did an amazing job. I met him several years ago at a dental meeting. Through our discussion I could see that he was a good man, and that he like to stay up with technology, like I do. So when I needed this work done, I decided to have him do the work because I wanted it done right and done "same day". Let me list some of my observations/experiences in his office: -His staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and good at what they do. -Dr. Kayne was conscientious of my time, my comfort, and long term well being. -He gave me the best injections I have ever had. I honestly did not feel any pain during the injections or during the treatment. -He communicated well with me to make sure I was comfortable and that the treatment was done how I wanted it done. -He was efficient and careful. I could tell he wanted to get things as perfect as he could. -He used the best technology to give me crowns that are strong, beautiful and precision fit. -The work feels amazing. The crowns are so smooth. They bite and floss perfectly. Anyways, before you think this is a fake review, just know that it isn't. We are acquaintances, not close friends. I paid for the work and wasn't paid to write this. I just wanted to return the favor to Dr. Kayne for doing such a wonderful job, and to let you know where you can find an amazing dentist if you need one. (You should also give Jeppson Dental a try, if Dr. Kayne can't fit you in.)
