Growing up in Macomb, Michigan, with a father who worked at a General Motors assembly plant and a mother who taught children at a nursery school, Dr. Mike Papastamatis was raised with an appreciation for both hard work and education.
From a young age Dr. Papastamatis wanted to be a doctor. His foremost hobby of conducting science experiments and volunteer work directed his focus toward dentistry, a profession that combined hand skills and helping people. While in high school, Dr. Papastamatis worked as a dental assistant for two years. This is where he fell in love with the profession.
Dr. Papastamatis spent four years studying biology at the University of Detroit Mercy. At UDM, he was granted the Insignis Scholarship, which is awarded to the top incoming students. Dr. Papastamatis graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
In order to pursue his dream to become a dentist, Dr. Papastamatis moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to attend dental school at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. While in Boston, his years of tinkering and volunteering came into use as a student. Combining his appreciation for the beauty of natural and healthy teeth, plus his borderline obsessive attention to detail, cosmetic dentistry was a perfect match.
Family is very important to Dr. Papastamatis. While in Boston, he married his high school sweetheart, Irene. After graduation, he came back to Michigan to practice and be closer to home. Dr. Mike, as most of his patients call him, has been blessed with three daughters: Helena, Stella, and Georgina. He enjoys participating in activities with his family and spending time outdoors riding the trails.
Dr. Papastamatis is the owner of this local dental practice. Some offices do not make it known that they are actually owned by large corporations. These types of practices, you may realize, have a lot of staff turnover. This is due in part to the fact that the practices are driven by production rather than by the individual patients needs.
Rochester Dental Aesthetics is a privately owned practice that will never have corporate policies or treat patients as numbers. Dr. Mikes practice philosophy is simple: treat others as you would want them to treat you. While many offices try to control costs by cutting corners or using substandard materials, Dr. Papastamatis takes pride in using the best materials, laboratories, and specialists.
Dr. Mike Papastamatis is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Oakland Dental Society, Macomb Dental Society and American Academy of Clear Aligners. He has also served in the past as a board member on the Executive Committee of the Macomb Dental Society and represented the Macomb district as its representative for the Michigan Dental Associations New Dentist Committee.
I am so proud to work with such a caring professional team. I have been very fortunate to be a part of this team for over 32 years. Our patients are very important to me. I enjoy establishing great relationships with our patients and take pride in providing gentle and thorough dental care.
I am a graduate of Dental Assisting School and have also successfully completed the Michigan Dental Associations training program for the dental radiographer, including sections on cephalometric and panoramic X-rays. I love when I can help a patient who comes into the office with tears leave with a great big smile on their face.
I absolutely love my job! I have been a part of this amazing team for over 16 years. Dental hygiene has always been my passion! I knew this is what I wanted to do ever since I was a little girl. It is so rewarding to be able to help patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health.
Born and raised in Michigan, I began my dental career 23 years ago as a dental assistant. In 2009, I graduated from Baker College as a Dental Hygienist. In 2013, I took a part-time job with Baker College as a clinical instructor as well as working in a private office.
My favorite part of my job is helping patients maintain their oral health as well as their overall health with good dental care and education. I love getting to know my patients and building a trusting professional relationship.
I have been dedicated to helping patients in all phases of dentistry for over 30 years. I enjoy helping patients understand their dental insurance benefits and how to utilize their insurance to fit their needs.
I am currently on the IGRF/IGCA volunteer sewing staff to benefit the Italian Greyhound breed. I am also the representative for the Italian Greyhound Club of America for the state of Michigan to place rescued IG into perfect replacement homes.
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a double major in psychology and criminal justice. Im hardworking and extremely organized, and I have great communication skills and love meeting new people.

Dr. Mike and the staff are amazing. Just completed the Invisalign program and am thrilled with the results. Highly recommend, and they have early hours (8:00am) for us early risers. What's there not to love?

Dr. Mike and his team were amazing! He is patient and willing to explain possible options based on the problem. He walks through the procedure and takes the time to answer any questions. Dr. Mike keeps up with the latest technology in dental work so he was able to save my daughter from needing composite material and ultimately veneers on her front teeth to cover up white spots. We were new to his practice but he still took all the time we needed to ensure we understood the process. Candy and Lisa were very helpful in getting the appointments scheduled and helped us figure out all the dental insurance questions as well. He also took the time to correct issues left by other dental teams like bracket glue that hadn't been completely removed. The transition in her smile is great, she is very pleased!

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Mike for a few years as a hygienist. Because of this, I got to see his work on hundreds of patients. I'm out of the field now, but Dr. Mike is the only doc I will let my family see. He is meticulous, patient, and gentle. He is always learning new skills and was an incredible doc to work with. A great dentist and person!

Probably the best dentist experience I've had- extremely thorough with every aspect but also a friendly and stress-free environment. That's not necessarily an easy combo to pull off. Also, very modern in-office with the latest technology, which is also much appreciated.

Such a nice staff and dentist team! All of the equipment was high tech and my hygienist told me everything that she was doing and what to expect. If you are nervous to go to the dentist here, don't be! Everyone was super gentile and super friendly:)

I have been going to Rochester Dental Aesthetics for a little over 4 years and they're hands down the best dental experience I've ever had! The front desk staff makes you feel right at home immediately when you walk in the door. My hygienist Jackie does a fantastic job and truly cares about your oral health. Dr. Mike is excellent!! He takes the time to explain all the procedures and makes sure he understands my concerns. I wish I would of met Dr. Mike sooner because he is definitely the BEST dentist that's ever worked on my teeth! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this office to everyone!

I have been going to do this dentist for about 9 years. The staff is always kind, friendly, gentle, thorough and professional. Dr. Pap has been an amazing addition and Jackie, my hygienist has been with me throughout and she is always gentle, kind and caring. The ladies at the front are amazing at keeping up with their cancellation list. You wont be disappointed if you try them. Thank you all for everything.

This is one of the best dentist I have tried around the country. Everyone there is nice and friendly there. They are never bothered by my 18 months daughter being around while I am being taken care of. I have done cleaning, deep cleaning and fillings and never had any issues. If you are looking for a great dentist, this is the one to choose.

Dr Mike is an awesome Dentist. He was very thorough today and explained everything. They have a state of the art facility and everyone was very nice and helpful. My family had a cleaning by Sara and she was awesome! She took her time to make sure everything was done right! My 4 year old and 10 year old are usually a little reluctant to go to the dentist and have their teeth cleaned but Sara made it fun for them!! I highly recommend this office and we hope to be here for a long time.

I had my appointment today for semi annual cleaning. Staff were great. Jackie was my hygienist and she is excellent. I've had her as hygienist for years. Wonderful and professional.
