A pediatric dentist is the pediatrician of dentistry in that they provide both specialized and primary care to children. A pediatric dentist has at least 2 extra years of specialized training in the oral health of young people, including those with special health care needs. Children at different ages need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. Pediatric dentists are better qualified to meet those needs, because they are specialists dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Since pediatric dentists focus on caring for all childrens dental needs, they provide the most up-to-date and thorough treatment for a wide variety of childrens dental problems.

A Board Certified Pediatric Dentist is a pediatric dentist who has gone through a certification process (completion of designated examinations) administered by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) which validates the candidates in depth knowledge and proficiency in the specialty of pediatric dentistry.

The ABPD certifies pediatric dentists based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills, and experience requisite to the delivery of quality patient care.

Upon successful completion of the certification process by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry a pediatric dentist is designated as a Diplomate and becomes a member of The College of Diplomates.

We provide specialized and comprehensive care for children from infancy through adolescence including those with special needs in a fun, safe, and state-of-the-art environment with a focus on prevention and education for the families.

Dr. Aslani-Breits decision to become a pediatric dentist resulted from her passion for working with children, and especially those with special needs. She has carefully selected her team to support her vision. The clinical team consists only of New York State Licensed Dental Hygienists and New York State Licensed Certified Dental Assistants. We strive towards excellence in providing dental care in a fun and comfortable environment for the families.

We believe that education is a lifelong process. We attend multiple continuing education seminars throughout the year, which helps us stay current with new science, technologies, procedures, and evolving guidelines in the practice of pediatric dentistry.

Awful. Dropped us without notification and will not allow us to schedule because they say they no longer take our insurance. Even though it's the only dentist my children have been to. Very rude.

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Their adaption to COVID protocol were still convenient and acceptable for youngsters. Dr. Maria is great with kids and take the time to explain things just like her staff. For our boy who wants to know how everything works they take the time to answer his questions to make the experience fun and interactive for him. We enjoy going to Roc Kids Smile.

We have been coming to Dr. Aslan for over 16 yrs. To maintain my 10 and 18 yr olds two beautiful smiles. Neither have any cavities! This Dentist office is a must for anyone looking you won't be disappointed. They have a sibling room and my boys loved getting the teeth down at the same time. Staff is wonderful, patient and they really go thr extra mile, I can honestly say I have never caught anyone on a bad day. As a family of color with melatonated boys we appreciate Dr. Aslani's commitment to cultural diversity, excellent clean and kid oriented facilities and high tech equipment. I will be sad when my kids are too old to go there! One visit and you will be hooked until for real. Be well:)

We love Dr. Aslani's office. You're welcomed with a lovely play area for the children to have fun in (pre covid) while they wait for their appointment. Their dental hygienists, assistants and team members are kind and gentle to all of their patients. My oldest looks forward to going to the dentist because of Dr Aslani and the amazing team she has. They set a perfect example as to why dental health is so important!

Well. I work for a Oral Surgery Clinic and I saw that this place serviced children so I said "Hey, why not". The office staff is not the friendliest and my experience with them on a professional level is not always pleasurable, but I understand the work so I overlook them most of the time. I have better things to do than argue and debate and I am professional. The first time I took time off from work to bring my child. They lock you out of the dentistry (which in my opinion is silly because you are a medical facility and should consider other spaces to better accommodate patients. The assumption shouldn't be made that every patient has a car to wait with their children!) He had a runny nose. So they cancelled the appointment right then and there. The next time my older son had Covid so I rescheduled obviously. They only see small children (my son is 1) until 11 am, which is a very busy time in my clinic, but I made the arrangement to attend the visit because my work is really none of their business or concern and I understand that. I had Covid a week prior, so I called the receptionist to let her know that I had Covid and that I was still sick. She told me it was a "failed appointment" and once again wasted my time. Then she proceeded to say I will need to call my insurance company to figure out a new dentist (which was a silly comment considering what I do for a living, but they have a habit of being silly so I overlooked that because I considered the source). It's sad because from what I hear from others, she is a very good dentist, BUT her office staff is always the center of conversation. But as the young lady recommended, I will just find another dentist. I'm very particular about the care of my children and I only want the BEST and that extends from the front of office to the back. I do not make a habit of entertaining contention with care providers or their receptionists. So I will be finding another provider (there are plenty). Moving on. I never got to personally deal with the dentist, so this is not a review of her expertise, but her office policy and staff could use a little adjustment. I would not recommend at this time.

I take both my son and daughter here. The employees are wonderful with children and really work well to make the kiddos feel comfortable. I'm so happy I finally found a dentist I want to continue taking my kids to!

EDIT: After speaking with the office again since this review(~20mins after posting) to apologize for being upset at the woman on the phone(I was heated and shouldn't have been). I was told they wouldn't see my daughter unless I took the review down. This confirms my review. Unprofessional. We have been here twice, the first time was fine, their COVID policy was poorly executed but the hygienist and doctor were good. This second visit has been a nightmare. They sent a few texts that verify your appointment, ask you to call if you need to cancel or reschedule. Then sent another a few days before the appt that came in at 10am stating this: "You have yet to confirm your appointment. If you don't confirm by 12 PM today the appointment will be cancelled and you will have to call to reschedule. Reply C to confirm or NO to cancel. Dr. Aslani-Breit's Office. Text STOP to unsubscribe." 12pm, a two hour window, easily missed of you are working or busy with a little one(which you likely are since this is a pediatric dentist). Then we arrive to the appointment, call to say we are here and they say I haven't filled out the form(COVID questions). Never was sent the form, so now I have to do it outside the door. Then they call, and literally ask the same questions, refusing to look at the form for the answers. My wife and I both took off work to be here, and they told us only one parent could come in now that we arrived. Terrible, unprofessional, untrustworthy. STAY AWAY.

Have been coming here for YEARS with all 3 kids. They are extremely comforting during filling procedures with children. They talk them through it, being so kind, gentle and help distract them to calm their nerves.(the TVs in the rooms help so much too!) the rooms are kid theme and decorated -so comforting. Dr Aslani and Chris were absolutey amazing during my sons procedures. One was last week, one was this week.. As a SUPER anxious mama, and always on edge about making sure my kids are comfortable and safe .. I cannot recommend this office enough. I confidently trust them! I will heartbroken the day my kids are too old to come here!!

I am editing my previous review. This is from today 2/7/22 after being with her for many many years (like decade!) recommending her to multiple families we were told we needed to find another dentist. I understand that kids age out. My son is now 17 and has known no other dentist but her. My daughter is 14. The last 2 weeks has been a schedule nightmare with snowstorms and offices being closed and then add the covid complications to this. 2 years ago my son got his braces off. 2 Years ago we went in for a cleaning and she suspected a possible cavity spot. They wanted to keep an eye on it. 1 year goes by and we go in. They want to fill this spot now and due to covid will call to schedule. Months go by no call. I call and I'm told they will get back to me cause they are over booked. 5 more months have now passed and still no appointment. Now 2 weeks ago they began the schedule process for yet another cleaning then rescheduled me a couple more times. Due to office being closed. I was told at the last reschedule that they had saved a time after for them to fix the problem spot on my son. So i cleared my day. Today we get there and the same thing like normal you call they ask questions and your children go in. Then 30 min later the hygienist comes out and literally says ' your children's needs are beyond our care'. Tells me again about my sons cavities and then goes into my daughters teeth. And tells me i need to find them a new dentist and when i do they will forward there files!!! Im beyond frustrated. I almost feel betrayed, do you think a little bit of warning would have been nice. So now both my children need a new dentist which a new patient wait anywhere is ridiculous. But you made damn sure to get them in and charge my insurance for that cleaning but wont repair anything. So now they will wait with possible tooth pain cause its inconvenient to you?? How dare you. I regret recommending you to anyone.. OLD POST NO LONGER VALID I have been coming here for the last 4 years! We love Dr. Aslani and all of her staff. They have had some up's and down's with some of the reception staff but we have always received exceptional service. We travel over 55 minutes for our appointments. If my children need additional work other than the routine cleaning she always tries to take time and squeeze us in because of the travel time. Meaning this staff has gone above and beyond as far as it comes to scheduling my family times. The care that you receive here is also impressive. The staff and inviting wait room take the fear out of going to the dentist. I have recommended them to all our friends who have had issues with other pediatric dentists. She is amazing with special needs cases also. Thanks again ladies and keep up the amazing job!

Okay before I start, I'm 18 years old now. As a little girl I went here and there was one dentist his hand was huge and he moved my front teeth and because of that I've had jaw problems and I'm never going back to this company. To parents please, if you're kids are in pain at this place, take them somewhere else people with big hands shouldn't be working on kids with really small mouths
