I have a passion for what I do. Every day, I see the profound, positive change that orthodontic treatment brings to patients lives. I love how every patient has a unique personality and clinical challenges, which requiresolutions tailored specifically to them. My work is never boring, my patients bring excitement and energy to the office, and I see their confidence and self-esteem grow along with their new smile.

I know that crooked teeth or poor facial balance can have a profound, negative impact on a persons self-esteem and overall psychological well-being. For this reason, I am always willing to work with patients and their families to ensure treatment begins at an optimal time for the best treatment outcome. In order to do this, my practice offers many financial options and will find terms that work with a familys budget.

The ultimate goals of orthodontic care includestraight teeth, a beautiful smile, and a properly aligned jaw, as well as good facial balance. In the vast majority of patients, this goal is best achieved with a full complement of teeth through the 12-year molars. For this reason, I will only order the extraction of permanent teeth in the most severe cases. I want my patients to have healthy, beautiful smiles, and to keep all of their natural teeth.

I earned aBachelor of Science in microbiology. I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Following a year of residency at the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic in Pennsylvania, I completed specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Along with my certificate in orthodontics, I earned a Master of Sciencefor my research on facial growth and development in patients who havecleft lip and palate.

I am a lifelong learner and I enjoy paying that forward by being an educator. Im honored to be certified by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners to teach continuing education-credited courses on various orthodontic topics. I have taught courses on treatment philosophies and methodologies, the newest technologies, and advances in the specialty of orthodontics.

As an orthodontist, I thoroughly enjoy attending and presenting courses and cases with my dental colleagues. The community collaboration within the dental profession, and especially within the smaller orthodontic profession, is cooperative, rich, and fulfilling.

I attend local continuing education courses on a monthly basis and, if my office is closed, it is most often because I am attending a seminar on advances in orthodontic treatment. I know that in order to maintain the highest standard of patient care, I must always be learning and updating treatment techniques and technologies.

I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and have lived in Frederick since 1992. Ive been happily married to the love of my life since 1983. We have three sons who are all grown and building their lives in other regions of the country, and toddler boy/girl twin grandchildren and a new granddaughter whom I adore.

When not caring for patients, teaching courses, or studying, I love to work in my vegetable and flower gardens. I also have many hobbies, all of which involveworking with my hands: leatherwork, woodwork, jewelry casting, electrical work, painting, and tinkering with computers, to name but a few. As often as possible, I also love visiting my preciousgrandchildren.

I also volunteer at the Washington County Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Clinic. This clinic serves peoplewith a variety of craniofacial deformities from western Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

My practice is an active member and screening office for Smiles Change Lives. This non-profit organizationworks with families to make orthodontic treatment affordable for those with significant orthodontic problems who otherwise would not be able to afford it. We also support local causes with donations of pro bono treatments: giving someone a great smile is the least we can do to support our community.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

Audrie started at Robison Orthodontics in 2020, but has more than six years of experience working clerical positions in bustling medical offices. She has also spent more than her fair share of time in a dental chair, and had braces for just over two years.

Having recently relocated to the area from Northern California, Audrie and her husband bought their first home in Harpers Ferry and promptly fell in love with the seasons and the nature! They moved here with anything they could fit in their two cars, including their 50-pound Malamute Shepard mix, Shasta!

What is one thing that few people know about you? I LOVE manatees! One day I want to go to Florida and swim with those adorable Sea Cows! What are your favorite places around town? Pizza and Pretzel Creations in downtown Frederick has the most amazing food! There is also a giant wooden slide located at a little park right in Rocky Ridge. Its so much fun to slide down on a burlap bag!

Kristin is a treatmentcoordinatorat Robison Orthodontics and has been in the industry for nearly 15 years. Her job involves meeting, welcoming, and educating patients on their treatment. She began her dental career working for Dr. Robison in 2006 where she eventually worked her way up to sterilization/records tech.

After realizing this was the field she loved, Kristin went back to school for dental assisting and took classes to become a certified orthodontic assistant. She then decided, several years into her career, that she would try treatment coordinating as well.

Kristin loves all aspects of her job, but her favorite part is seeing the amazing sense of confidence in patients when they see their new smile! However, she also loves building personal relationships with patients and their families.

Carolyn has been working in the dental field since 1985 and has been a Financial Coordinator at Robison Orthodontics since 2008. Her responsibilities include day-to-day patient finances, insurance claim submission, financial contracts, and accounts receivable. She enjoys meeting new patients and returning families, but her favorite part of the job is helping parents and adult patients work orthodontics into their family budgets without causing hardship.

Carolyn and her husband, Vince, have three adult children and four wonderful grandbabies. They live in the country near Maryland Height and the C&O Canal with their two dogs, Winter and Breezy, and their cat, TAK. She loves to read, craft, cook, and hang out on the patio with friends.

What are your favorite spots around town? My favorite restaurant is Guide House Grilla tiny, 12-table establishment with the best food and drinks. Frederick has many unique historical venues and, since we are minutes away from PA, VA, WV, and DC, there is always something to do or see!

Protruded upper teeth is also known as an overjet and occurs when the upper front teeth protrude or 'jet' out too far beyond the lower front teeth. In other words, there is too much horizontal overhang.

An anterior crossbite can be damaging to the front teeth and should be corrected as soon as possible. This example shows a lower front tooth with recession. That tooth was also mobile. After Phast I treatment, the recession improved and the mobility went away.

One of the more common problems that we see is crowding, sometimes severe. The example shown would typically be treated with extractions due to the severity of the crowding. However, with the advanced technologies of the Damon System, this patient was treated without extractions. The after photos show the results including a broader smile and healthy gum tissue.

Not including wisdom teeth, the upper lateral incisors are the most commonly misshaped or congenitally missing teeth. In this example, one upper lateral incisor was missing and the other was very small. Treatment included the extraction of the undersized tooth. The canines were then reshaped and moved forward to take the place of the missing lateral incisors.
