Being a pediatric dentist means taking care of the little children. At the end of the day, my goal is to have treated each patient with love and respect, and to ensure your child has had a positive dental experience.

As a mother, I understand a parents concerns and focus on creating open communication. I never recommend a treatment or procedure I would not want for my own child and always explain my recommendations, as well as the range of options.

It is my responsibility to stay current on the newest options, information, and research in order to provide patients with the best care. Each year, I attend seminars and meetings, and also complete a range of online continuing education courses. By constantly furthering my knowledge, I ensure I am offering the highestquality of treatment.

I grew up in Newbern, Tennessee, and have lived in Florence for more than15 years. My husband, Dr. Rob Embry, is a general dentist who practices in Florence. We have three wonderful children: Ella, William, and Lila, who keep us busy with their many sports interests and other extracurricular activities.

A visit to the dentist can cause anxiety not just for children, but anyone. At our office, we do our best to create a friendly, warm, and fun environment for your children, not only to create positive experiences at the dentist when they are young, but for their entire lives.

At Shoals Pediatric Dentistry, PC, Dr. Robin E. Lents and her team understand we must develop and maintain an encouraging and trusting connection with every patient. In doing so, we set children on the path to a lifetime of optimal oral health ... and big, bright, happy smiles!

Understanding the uniqueness of each child and family, we work closely with parents to learn their concerns and goals. By engaging with families, we are able to provide the necessary education and guidance to help the child grow up with a great smile and the habits necessary to keep it healthy for life!

Everyone at Shoals Pediatric Dentistry, P.C. looks forward to welcoming your son or daughter and you to our dental family. Please contact our Florence, AL pediatric dental office, which serves The Shoals and surrounding communities, to schedule a visit today!

Terrible. I have heard from so many people about children being restrained, injured, and had procedures done without parental permission. I went here ONCE about 15 years ago as a child and they would not allow anyone to go back with me even thought I was a very anxious child. Parents have a right to accompany their children and I honestly do not believe that is even legal. Also, the one time I went as a child (when my parents realized how terrible it was), I was told I had 8 or so cavities and needed fillings. I went to another dentist and they were merely stains. I don't understand how this place is still allowed to operate.

By far these are the most best dentist I've ever met they help me and I'm so proud and now I have no cavities and they do this thing that if you don't have cavities you get put in a jar and if they pick your name you get to get a price yeah that's right a price I love my dentist and I'm so glad for her

Took my child here at 4 yrs old they told me I could not go back with her when she reached 5 or 6, I can't recall which it was that she would have to go in alone. I said NOPE. When I was in with my child I saw how they were with the children that had no parent with them. No way. we are our children's only protection when they are so young.

(Translated by Google) I agree with Valeria, I wish I had known earlier, they did a bad dental procedure on my 4-year-old daughter, she was very traumatized and does not want to return, I wish I had known earlier, and when the nurses called them to help us, they were rude.

As a medical worker myself , I have never In my life heard of such rude , uncaring, hateful employees. I work , so my sons father took him along with his wife. My son was strapped down ( has not had a papoosa board signed since he was like 4 ) so tight he told them crying it was too tight. They didn't stop. He cried for help before , during , and after the procedure. They told my 8 year old son with severe anxiety that he could not get released from the papoosa board until he stopped crying. That no one was coming back there with him. I believe this place is not safe in my opinion for anxious children or patient enough with these kids. I have never been so unsatisfied with care for a child as I am right now. In the medical field, you have to care and be patient ESPECIALLY with children. When calling to talk to management I informed them no papoosa board for was signed for the procedure at visit. I was told yes it was . I informed her no it was not because we knew it would set him into a panic attack. They said , "one was signed in the Past. " of course one was signed when he was 3-4 years old but NO updated one was signed yesterday because we would never do that to him knowing he has severe anxiety. Multiple friends who have gone here report their children were told the same thing after procedures that they could not be let go or see their parents until they stop crying. As a child , I never had to deal with this when visiting a dentist. 10/10 will make sure the shoals knows our sons story and be protected from having awful experiences with this dentist !

I took my son there as his first dentist ( he is 5 now) she made up some reason why he had to have caps on his front two teeth and then took him back refused to let me go in and strapped him to the papoose board and capped them they are way to big for his mouth and that could be seen as soon as she brought him back out after that point he was terrified to go to the dentist anymore we changed dentists to srd (who are amazing) that have worked so hard to make him comfortable again and allow me to go in with him every time but now fast forward and he is barely 5 and has infection in his gums because the caps are so big and has to have his front two teeth pulled because of it so we now have to either sedate him and pull them or leave him awake and risk traumatizing him even more I will never recommend this dentist to any parent of young children

Took my son here due to issues with a different dentist, and they are by far the BEST dentist I've ever been to. Explained everything in detail, and fixed all the issues we had. Will recommend this place to all my friend's. Very friendly workers. Love this place.

Dr. Lentz did such a wonderful job with my son while taking care of his first cavity! Everyone was professional, helpful, and so nice! We've been to a couple of different dentist and that's where he has chosen to go back for his next visit!

My father, Mike McLeary is a dentist in town and when my child (who is Dr Mike's grandchild) started complaining of a toothache he referred us there. My daughter is 2 and a half years old and we had a great experience! We didn't wait long to go back and the whole staff was so nice. Dr Lentz was very kind to me and made my daughter feel like she was getting the special treatment! We will definitely be going back to Dr Lentz in the future if my little girl needs any dental work done! It's absurd she has such a low rating on here because she really is a very intelligent woman and a wonderful dentist.
