I have learned that in working with adults and children, enhancing their smiles and correcting oral function not only improves their overall health but also heightens their self-esteem. This role that I play in their lives really brings out the best in me. My continuing desire is to provide the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art, and compassionate care to my patients. By improving their lives, I am fulfilling mine.

I believe that the only way to achieve excellence in life is through a commitment to hard work. I graduated from Texas A&M University number one in the College of Science with a 4.0 grade point average. At A&M I was a Terry Foundation Scholar and received a graduate fellowship from Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. At Baylor College of Dentistry, I finished third in my class of 88 and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. At Houston, where I received my orthodontic training, I was Chief Resident and President of my orthodontic class, finishing with a 4.0 grade point average. I was also awarded the UTDB Heyl G. Tebo Scholarship and the Student Intercouncil Scholarship, which was awarded to one student in each of the six schools in the UT Health Science System.

Beyond the formal years of education, I have obtained board-certification in Orthodontics, and hold Diplomate status withThe American Board of Orthodontics. This is a distinction that only one in every threeorthodontists achieve.

I am a native Texan, born and raised in Arlington. I love to be around friends, whether were watching a movie or just hanging out in a coffee shop. I enjoy going to Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys games, soccer, bike riding, playing chess, and reading books about history. Also, I have loved Country and Western dancing since my college days. I am married to Sarai, who works with me and who attended the University of Texas - creating a nice little rivalry with me, an Aggie. We have two boys,Austin and David, who takeup most of our free time. These boys and my wifearethe biggest blessings of my life. The newest addition to our family is Jax - a Goldendoodle, whos a lot bigger than he realizes.

Besides the professional satisfaction that I get from accomplishing our orthodontic goals, I enjoy the personal relationships that I have developed with my patients and their families. As a local resident, my patients are my neighbors and my friends. I feel privileged to serve them, and I am honored that they have entrusted me with their care and the care of their loved ones.

Howdy! Im Dr. Marc Fruithandler- you can call me Dr. Marc. I take great pride in the quality of the orthodontic treatment I provide. I have realized that good, carefully planned orthodontic treatment can do a lot more than just line up a persons teeth. When done correctly by a professional who stands behind his or her work, orthodontic treatment can help people grow in confidence, increase chewing efficiency, protect the health of the gums and joints, and provide long-term stability for a healthy bite.

I have an affinity for health care and, particularly, our ability to heal and help the human body. My interest in being hands-on with patient care eventually lead me to the dental field. Im a people-person at my core, so I gravitated toward orthodontics not only because of the intellectual challenges of the specialty, but also the direct interaction with such a fun group of patients.

I have a firm belief that excellent results cannot be attained with compromised principles, and I carry that into my treatment philosophy. I grew up in Coppell, Texas and continued on to Texas A&M University, graduating from the College of Nutrition with a specific track for Molecular & Experimental Nutritional Sciences. I then graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas on the Deans Honor Roll, joined the Christian Medical & Dental Association, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. My wife and I then made the trek out to New Orleans, Louisiana for my specialty Orthodontic residency at LSU School of Dentistry.

Im a native Texan, although my family did a short stint in Maidenhead, England while I was young before moving back to Coppell, Texas. I met my amazing wife, Emily, in dental school. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors in Biology and then got her Doctorate the same year I did at Baylor College of Dentistry. I love a cup of coffee and a conversation, so when you inevitably see me in a coffee shop around town, please stop and say hi! Despite their woes on the field, I love my Texas A&M Aggies football team as well as pretty much every professional Dallas sports team. My wife and I love travelling, love to engage in other cultures, and love to try new foods. We attend Resonate Life Church in Lucas, Texas. We love being part of this community. The most rewarding part of my life is to see the improvement I can bring to the lives of my patients.

My passion is to improve the lives of my patients and I strive to make that obvious in my work. My expectation is that each and every patient receive the highest possible quality of care in an environment that is dedicated to their happiness and well-being. My goal is not just to straighten teeth, but rather hold ourselves to a higher standard by giving our patients comprehensive, customized treatment that results in healthy teeth, gums, bones, and bite. I am excited by learning and therefore regularly attend continuing education events every year. The most rewarding part of my life is to see the improvement I can bring to the lives of my patients.

Congratulations on getting braces at Robertson Orthodontics! You are on your way to a smile you can be proud of! However, while you are wearing braces, youll need to take special care of them and your teeth. That means avoiding certain foods that can damage your braces, and remembering to brush and floss regularly to keep your teeth clean and healthy.

Eating the wrong types of food can break brackets and snap wires, which means youll have to make extra visits to our Allen, TXor Murphy, TX office to have your braces repaired. While you have braces, avoid foods that are:

The greatest challenge is remembering to brush three times a day for two minutes each time, and to floss after meals. Brushing and flossing will take more time when you have braces, but like anything in life, practice makes perfect.

To brush, angle your tooth brush at a 45-degree angle above the brackets, toward your gum line. From there, you would brush in little circles all the way across the arch of teeth. Next, angle your tooth brush the opposite 45 degrees above the brackets, away from the gum line. Again, brush in small circles all the way across the arch of teeth. Finally, you would brush underneath the brackets, allowing the bristles to go underneath the wire and around the bottom of the brackets. Brush the chewing surfaces and behind the teeth as normal.

To floss, attach a floss threader to a piece of floss. Feed the floss underneath the wire and between the two teeth. Once you have made it to this step, you floss as normal: seesawing the floss between the teeth, making a curve against each tooth and flossing up and down. Finally, pull the floss out of your teeth, then out from the wire. Repeat these steps until every tooth is flossed.

Just like being sore after exercising, your teeth will be sore after getting an orthodontic adjustment. Taking an over-the-counter pain medication as directed on the bottle should help alleviate any discomfort.

Teeth can get a little loose as they move because the ligament around the root of each tooth loosens to allow for movement. This is normal. When your teeth have moved to their final positions, the ligaments will become tight again, and your teeth will no longer feel loose.

If you play a sport, you need to wear a mouthguard to protect your braces and your teeth. You can get this from us. In case of a sports emergency, be sure to immediately check your mouth and appliance for damage. If you notice any loose teeth or appliance damage, please contact our Allen, TX or Murphy, TX office right away. You can temporarily relieve the discomfort by applying wax or rinsing your mouth with warm saltwater.

Horrific experience and thank GOD we are finally done with this place! Beware, they have fake smiles and friendliness, they bribe parents and kids for their 'drawings' of you leave a positive review. Watch your bank account if you are set up with a payment plan, they will continue to swindle and scam you beyond any agreement you think you signed with them. Don't get fooled like we did!!

Everyone who needs braces needs to schedule an appointment with Dr Robertson. I absolutely love coming to Robertson Orthodontics. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by the wonderful soft scent of sandalwood, the lighting is not harsh at all, which makes it great for selfies . The tv is always on and the contemporary furniture is welcoming, and inviting...very bussin bussin there's even two very retro game machines that I love playing on. The staff is also so courteous and they greet me by my nickname which makes me feel relaxed and it reduces some of the anxiety I feel (iykyk dentist/ortho visits are scary). The entire layout of the office is very easy to navigate and convenient in the event you're wearing crutches Further, the hygienists are all AWESOME . They take such great pride in the work they do and their attitude when dealing with their patients is on point . In addition, they are all extremely kind and take the time to ask me if there is anything that is bothering me. I even broke a bracket (sorry mom) and when I explained to them how it happened they giggled and said it was a piece of cake to fix. They always explain everything to me prior to them doing any necessary work (again to ease the anxiety and worries. I highly recommend Robertson Orthodontics to all of my friends and I cant wait to see how amazing I will look once my braces come off. Thank you Dr. Robertson and Staff! I love you all!
