I was on the hunt for a new dentist after my dentist of 11 years retired. I came into initially to do a cleaning with the hygienist Cambria. She was wonderful and honestly one of the best cleanings I've ever had in my entire life! She provided a lot of insight on how to take care of my teeth moving forward and was very gentle - amazing experience. During the same visit I was able to see Dr. Rachel Wilson to plan my oral health journey for the next few months. During this visit I felt very comfortable I felt like I could trust the staff members (including front desk, dental assistants etc.) to make this experience very easy for me as I am typically not the biggest fan of the dentist office. Everyone is so kind and you honestly can tell that everyone here treats you like family because they remember the things that are going on in your life. It feels like you are part of a larger network of people who care about you over all. I would highly recommend this practice if you're looking for somewhere family-oriented and clean with minimal wait times in consideration and care for their patients. OH DID I mention minimum wait times!?! Also, there covid precautions a very impressive and I always feel safe coming in. Honestly one of the highlights of my day when I get to go to the dentist. I also often tend to fall asleep in the chair because I'm so at ease- that should tell you that this is definitely a place where you can bring small children as well as elderly adults. I've seen all types of age groups come in and leave happy and feel comfortable during their visits. Look no further... Because they are truly one of a kind.

They overcharged me for a visit in September 2021 once I got my insurance printout. I am writing this Thanksgiving 2021. I called to try and resolve this in Sept along with scheduling a follow up visit. I was not able to schedule the visit since Dr Rachel was on her honeymoon but was told I would get my money that was overpaid refunded to me. That was two months ago. My sons dentist appt was also this same week and was also was overpaid by me and they have since returned the overage. I also still have a lot of pain from the fillings that were done so I likely will be following up with another dentist at this point. They seemed nice when I was there, but as a single mom of a special needs kid money is tight so this just didn't sit right with me. I'll likely have to file a formal complaint at this point since they were aware I had an overage and I called to ask for it back as well.

Today was my first time visiting Wilson Family Dentistry. Yes, going to the dentist is at the bottom of the list of things I want to do with my day, but this was a very pleasant experience. The staff are fantastic, the office is clean and comfortable, and I left feeling positive/happy about my choice to switch dentists.

Great Dental office located off of 355 by Gaithersburg high school (Robert Wilson's Office)! As soon as you walk through the door, the front desk staff always makes sure you feel welcomed and always follows up with your appointments and reschedules (if needed). For so long I felt insecure about my teeth, however Dr. Robert Wilson, Dr. Rachel Wilson, and Dr. Joyce was extremely professional in examining my teeth through my Invisalign treatment. They continuously made sure to adjust throughout my plan (As needed). At first I didn't have enough money to even get my Invisalign treatment! No worries, Dr. Adrian Wilson, will help guide you financially and this office will work with you to achieve the smile you desire. I'm thankful for Dr.Rachel extremely for always doing the little things to make sure my smile is perfect. With that being said, by far the best dental treatment I've ever experienced and I highly recommend them for anyone! Davino

I have been coming here for years along with my family, but I wanted to write a review after seeing them open again after the COVID shutdown. The office looks INCREDIBLE! I was so happy to see how elegant and modern everything looks. There has been a lot done to make everything look nice and I was so happy to see things looking well there. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant and willing to work with you. Dr. Bob Wilson is very conscientious and the new addition of Dr. Rachel Wilson is a very welcome one - I had her for my cleaning this last time and found her very friendly and careful. Would recommend for sure!

Our house has marks on the walls of the old kids' bathroom from the stickers that we would always get as kids from Dr. Wilson after the visit. Despite their age, these peek through the paint in our bathroom, artifacts of dental visits long ago. Nearly 30 years later, my entire family still visits the practice. I have since moved out-of-state but have always made a regular visit part of my visits home. I recall when Dr. Rachel gave me a filling soon after she started practising. The procedure went very well and I haven't thought about the tooth since. The only reason why you would be driving slowly or avoiding visits to Dr. Wilson is because of the speed camera on northbound 355, one hundred feet down the road! The Wilsons' practice is an easy five stars. EDIT: I completely forgot to mention the hygienists and office team who deserve equivalent praise. Patty, Cambria, Flower, and everyone else -- you are great!

A simple procedure (2/15/21) to have a cavity filled began as it normally would until Dr. Rachel said, "I think we're a little too close to the nerve." Questioning her as to what that meant, I was told that while she could continue with the filling, I "might" have pain when I went home. Key word here, of course, being "might". While never having had a problem with the tooth (no inflammation, infection, pain, or sensitivity), she recommended a root canal, gave a basic/vague explanation of the procedure (of which I've never had before), and waited for my decision. Her initial explanation did not include details of the procedure, the amount of visits necessary to complete the procedure, nor the placement of a crown as a result of the procedure. It wasn't until Dr. Rachel left the room to help another patient that everything was explained to me by her assistant. This was AFTER my uninformed consent/ after the procedure had begun. Day one finished with a placement of a temporary filling and I was scheduled for a 2nd appt. Having pain, I called the following day to speak with Dr. Rachel. I expressed to her that had I'd initially been given information regarding a root canal, I wouldn't have consented. She didn't acknowledge the lack of education provided, only that she believed it was the right thing to do. Round 2 (2/23): 2.5 hrs of more needles, sawing, drilling, and metal clamps constantly popping off etc. Dr. Rachel enlisted the help of Dr. R. Wilson, then finished out the day by placing yet another temporary filling. I left discouraged and in pain. Not much progress had been made. I discussed what had been happening with friends and was encouraged to immediately leave this practice and find a new Dentist. But when I was told they had an opening today, I just wanted to get it done and over with. Surely this would be the end, right? (2/25/21) Another 2 1/2 hours in the office, but this was by far, the worst of all 3. The clamps kept popping off again. This whole thing has been so terrible, yet I prayed and held on to the hope that it would be over at last. Yet, more medication had to be injected as the pain worsened. Something wasn't right and I was told that one of the canals was bleeding, which meant another probable temp filling, having to come back yet again. Making matters worse, my nose and throat were accidentally sprayed with the bleach solution meant to cleanse the tooth. This happened not once, but twice. The second time burned so badly, I panicked. I had trouble breathing from the violent coughing/ gagging until I was quickly rinsed and suctioned. I was told the increased pressure caused the canal to bleed again so the 3rd temp filling was placed, and I was sent home again. I've been very patient, kind, and understanding, but how much can a person take? There are no more chances, Wilson Dentistry. The icing on the cake or rather the final PUNCH in my face goes to Adrian, Dr. Rachel's Sister. After this horrific ordeal today, she asks me for a payment. WOW. I've always paid their bill, yet she felt the need to ask at that moment? Hmm.... That's what this was all about after all, isn't it? The almighty dollar. You know, I understand. Everyone has been hit hard by this pandemic....sure... the grocery store... doctor's office... dentist office...etc... yeah... We've all been suffering this year. BUT, I hope people still hold on to what's right and cling to living their lives with morals and integrity. So... Was this an opportunity for a new Dentist to get more practical experience and bring in extra money during Covid at her patient's expense? I certainly know what I believe. I am now left with intense pain and an unnecessary/unfinished root canal. A grievance has been made with my insurance company. A potential problem ("might") versus actually having one with only a suggestion (not requisite) and vague description of this procedure led to consent NOT informed consent. Know the difference so that my painful experience can educate others into making better choices!

I've been going to Dr. Wilson for almost 25 years now. I believe they're in their third generation. Both Dr. Wilsons (son and daughter) have provided me with great and highly-skilled care, always. I highly recommend this family-run practice.

Before coming to Dr. Wilson I dreaded the dentist but his and Rachel's outstanding knowledge and first hand dental experience have made me more comfortable. I love how the practice is family owned and operated, they make you feel like you're part of the family. I will never go to another dentist in the area.
