Jane is our front office receptionist and financial coordinator. She has been in the dental field for 38 years, 29 of which were with the same dentist in the Poconos. Jane was born and raised in Coatesville to parents Wilbur and Millie Miller. She has 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Jane moved to the Poconos for 30 years and returned back to the area in 2010. She has a married daughter and married son, two granddaughters, two great-grandsons, two step-grandsons, and one step great-grandson.

In her spare time, Jane enjoys craft shows, country music shows, cleaning, and spending time with her family. She has enjoyed the pleasure of working with Dr. Berstecher and team for the past 7 years. Jane like getting to know our patients and making new friends.

Sharon is an expanded function dental assistant. She started her dental assisting career graduating from the Lancaster County Vocational Tech School in 1976, joining Dr. Berstechers team in 1982. After taking a sabbatical to raise her four daughters, she returned in 2005 and graduated from Harcums Expanded Function Dental Assistants program in 2008.

Cee first became interested in the dental field as a patient at the UPenn Dental School, seeing firsthand all the different procedures that were going on. In her senior year (1999) in high school she graduated from the Lancaster County Career and the Technical Centers Dental Assisting Program. She graduated from Williamsport Penn College as a registered dental hygienist in 2002.

Cee has been practicing as an R.D.H. for over 15 years and has been a member of Dr. Berstechers team since 2005. She finds it amazing how quickly time has gone by. Through the years children have grown up, students graduate, move away, get married, and start families of their own. Elderly patients pass on ahead of us. Although Cee feels its important to educate our patients in proper oral hygiene care, it is equally important to get to know each patient for who they are. She loves that part of her job and hopes to continue building relationships with everyone.

Outside of dentistry, Cee loves to spend time with her family, read, and watch movies. She is fascinated by people of different cultures and loves to travel and see how others live. Cee is active in her churchs missions and childrens programs. She is thankful to have the opportunity to go on mission trips, during some of which she could use her hygiene skills, including several times Dr. Berstechers team served in Appalachia. Cee hopes to continue being able to use her knowledge and skills as a way to open doors to show love to others and share what she has been blessed with.

Michelle is a Registered Dental Hygienist that has been with the practice 21 years. Michelle began her hygiene career in 1996 and has been a member of Dr. Berstechers team since 1998. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and strives to edicate and help make them feel comfortable.

Debbie is an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. She graduated from the Willow Street C.T.C.s dental assisting program in 1992 and their expanded function dental assistant program in 2012. In 2009, Debbie also received her certification as a Cardiac Technician from Harrisburg Community College.

Dr. Berstecher is a member of the American Dental Association, having received lifetime status in 2017. A past President of the Lancaster County Dental Society and past President of the Pennsylvania Dental Associations Fifth District, Dr. Berstecher is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and at their recent national meeting received his Master of Implant Prosthodontics Award.

Dr. Berstecher participates in several dental service organizations including Dental Access in Lancaster County, the Got Teeth program administered by the ELANCO School District, and the St. Joseph Health Ministry where he received their 2007 Starfish Award for service to the community. These dental service organizations provide reduced fees dental care to New Holland and Lancaster County. For fourteen years he also took a mobile dental unit and served the dental needs of the many residents of the Fairmount retirement community.

Having four children who graduated from the ELANCO School District schools, Dr. Berstecher has been active in the community throughout those years and the present. February is when the American Dental Association celebrates National Childrens Dental Health Month. Since 1983 he has visited all the elementary schools in the district and has fun giving a presentation on maintaining healthy teeth and a healthy body to all the third-grade students. Dr. Berstecher was also a founding board member and the first president of the Garden Spot High School Cross Country Booster Club.

Dr. Berstecher is a volunteer in the Conestoga River District, Pennsylvania Dutch Council Boy Scouts of America where he served as the districts chairperson of Scouting for Food and past district committees chairperson. In 2014 he received the Conestoga River Districts Award of Merit for his service. He also is a committee member of the New Holland Boy Scout Troop 48 and a founding member and current Committee chairperson of the Smoketown Airport Aviation Venture Crew 52.

Having grown up in Philadelphia Dr. Berstecher considers it a blessing to be living and practicing in Lancaster County with his exceptionally dedicated and caring dental team who have a combined 208 years of patient care experience. Dentistry is an ever-changing and evolving science. The dental care of 2021 is not the same care as when he graduated in 1977. Most of the procedures, techniques, and dental materials he uses daily didnt exist then. It is an exciting time to be practicing dentistry, see these changes, and be able to provide them to our patients who, through the years, are more like family and friends. It is how we partner with them for a lifetime of smiles through great oral care.
