Iwas born and raised in Windsor, NC. After attending Hampden-Sydney College,I trained at the UNC School of Dentistry and graduated in 2004. After working in a large group practice in Greenville, NC,I was readyto move back east and was fortunate to find anopportunity to come in to practice with Dr. Charles Mahaffey in Elizabeth City in 2006. Soon after, Dr. Mahaffey retired, and we have been going strong and growing ever since.

Last appointment seemed rushed. Prices are high but probably average. Originally told I needed to wait 4 months for "that kind of" cleaning appointment but staff helped me get much earlier date. Helped turned my teeth health around.

Such a wonderful office with a great staff! Especially Buffy . Staff is always so kind, courteous and understanding. Dr. Gilliam is so kind and soft spoken, makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I absolutely love this office!!!!

So grateful to the Doctor's and staff at this dentistry. It was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist and it was a ROOT CANAL of all things. They were kind, patient, and comforting. I'm used to feeling somewhat judged at the dentist but the environment created here is friendly and safe. They made a procedure I was always terrified of getting done go so smoothly, I literally could have taken a nap. THANK YOU. I appreciate you all and your work greatly.

I'd give Dr Gillam and his staff "10" star rating but it's the highest the site will allow is "5." His chair side manners is impeccable and I hope he's in business the next 40 some years and I live to be alive to celebrate that!!! I'm 62 with awesome dental health thanks to him, his staff and my commitment to self care. I love y'all and highly recommend... I just came from routine visit and feels like I've been to the spa Joan 62 and natural

Doctor Gilliam is a fantastic dentist, I would recommend him to anyone. He does great work, he puts you at ease because he is so kind, friendly and gentle. He has a beautiful new office and a great staff, they are always very helpful.

I didn't have great childhood experiences with dentists, so as an adult I wasn't happy to attend a dental office. The staff here were very sympathetic to my anxiety and are very good at what they do.

If you looking for a great dentist that cares, takes their time with you, and is compassionate then this is the dentist for you. I have had a great experience with the staff and dentist. I was nervous for my initial appointment but the staff make you feel at ease! I work in the medical field and bed side manor is so important and this dentist truly has it! You will enjoy the doctor and staff!
