Dr. Steele is a native Oklahoman who was born in Stillwater and grew up in Midwest City. He attended the University of Wyoming on an athletic scholarship from 1971-75 where he received the Western Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete Award in 1975. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and graduated in 1979. His dental education continued with a Pediatric Dentistry residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1979 to 1981 where he received the John Motley Morehead Foundation Fellowship. He received a masters degree at UNC while completing research on topical fluoride treatments. Dr. Steele returned to Oklahoma in 1981. He has been practicing pediatric dentistry in Edmond since that time while also serving as a part-time faculty member at the OU College of Dentistry.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Steele and his wife Marilyn have raised four daughters and now have two grandchildren. Dr. Steele was head volleyball coach atBishop McGuinness High School from 2001-2007 where his team won the 5A state championship in 2003 and finished as the state runner-up in 2004 and 2006. He also coached numerous club and middle school volleyball teams for 15 years before retiring from volleyball coaching in 2010. Spare time is now spent outdoors fishing, hunting or backpacking with family along with designing and fabricating primitive all-wood archery equipment.

I cannot recommend Dr. Dewbre and his staff enough! We were referred to Dr. Dewbre for my son's tongue tie issues. They got us in super quickly! Dr. Dewbre is incredibly kind, caring and informative. He genuinely cares about his patients and makes you feel so comfortable and taken care of. Everyone on staff is so friendly and welcoming! I could not imagine a better experience, especially with a baby so young! We will definitely be making Dr. Dewbre our pediatric dentist once our babies first tooth breaks through!

My wife and I brought our daughter in due to a possible lip/tongue tie. Dr. Dewbre did an amazing job explaining what he was checking for, step by step. After his assessment, he carefully explained treatment options based off of what he saw. There was no pressure from him, he simply gave us information so that we could make an informed decision. If I were a baby, I'd totally come here for my dental needs. 5/5

Dr Dewbre and his staff are absolutely amazing! My daughter went in for a lip/tongue tie revision to help with feeding. Dr. Dewbre and his staff are a BLESSING! My 9 yo daughter had dental anxiety due to an extremely adverse reaction to oral sedation administered when she was younger (not this office nor from this dentist). As a result it had been extremely difficult getting her to a dentist for cleanings and to get her cavities fixed. I found this dentist through my dental insurance app. I am so thankful I took the leap and made an appointment. My daughter now looks forward to visiting the dentist and loves Dr. Dewbre and his staff! They are very patient and welcoming. I explained her previous experience and her dental anxiety, they listened to me and helped us both feel at ease. This staff treated her so kind, made her feel welcome, and explained everything to her before and during the procedures. Dr. Dewbre is WONDERFUL with her and so are all his staff! They recommended the cleaning appointment first which went extremely well. Dr. Dewbre made my daughter feel so at ease and confident in herself that she was ready to make her next appointment to get her cavities fixed (something that she was dreading for a very long time). My daughter stuck with it and was excited for her dental appointment. Shannah and Dr. Dewbre helped my daughter make it smoothly through getting her cavities fixed thanks to their kindness, patience, and efficiency! Again, my 9 yo is now excited to go to the dentist. Dr. Dewbre and his staff helped change my daughter's view on going to the dentist which will help her dental and overall health for the rest of her life. Can't say enough good about this place! The people there were all so nice to the kids and made them feel welcome and excited to be there. They explained in a fun way what they were doing while they were cleaning their teeth. My kids loved the big connect 4 and Jenga in the waiting area too.

The staff at Dr. Dewbre's office answered questions prior to our visit to give us an idea of when to expect. We were welcomed kindly and the hygienist were patient and gave create cues to help my daughter master what she was being asked to do. Dr. Dewbre walked me through his suggested treatment plan and then showed my daughter what to expect next time we visit. It was a very positive experience and we both feel confident going into our next visit!
