I was born in Sacramento California on May 6th 1959 to Gonzalo Obregon M.D. and Nadine Zoe Obregon. My parents are my true heroes and they provided for me and my three siblings a blessed upbringing. I graduated from Jesuit High School, Menlo College and University of Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. My father suggested dentistry as a possible profession and I realized that dentistry is a beautiful combination of science and connecting with people. In 1983 my wife Theresa and our nine-month old daughter, Michelle, relocated to Los Angeles for us to start my dental journey. In 1987 I graduated in the top 5 percent of my class at USC. We relocated back to Sacramento to be near family and welcomed the birth of my son, Matthew and daughter, Rebecca.
By the grace of GOD, I was able to work for and eventually purchase the dental practice of my dear friend Elmar Hoffmann D.D.S. He had built a strong and solid practice that I have worked very hard to grow. It is hard to believe that I have been a dentist for 30 years and I am more excited than ever. Here are my core values and goals at our practice.
Many people who enter into our practice recognize the lighthouse theme and wonder why do I like lighthouses so much. For me, the lighthouse represents CHRIST, a beacon providing me direction and a welcoming harbor for friends.
Hi! My name is Alissa Vinson and I have been a registered dental assistant since 2004. My grandmother was a patient of Dr. Obregons and she suggested that I would enjoy working with him. I moved from the Bay Area/Morgan Hill in 2007 to start assisting Dr. Obregon. Shortly after moving to Sacramento I also met and married my husband. GOD works in mysterious and miraculous ways!!
I love to talk and I am a big goofball who enjoys making patients laugh, especially the nervous ones. I am an April Fools baby who enjoys food, San Francisco Giants, Disneyland and Hawaii. My husband Darren and I hope to retire in Kauai, Hawaii.
Hello and my name is Lynn Yamanishi. I grew up in the Bay Area and became interested in dental hygiene at the age of nine when our family veterinary taught me how to clean my dogs teeth. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After practicing in the Bay Area and Los Angeles I moved to Sacramento and began working for Dr. Obregon in 1997.
I am dedicated to educating my patients about the importance of their oral health and its impact on their overall health. I have a genuine interest in every patient, making sure people feel welcomed and making their smiles brighter.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my husband, my two college age children and my two furry friends. Playing board games, swimming and dreaming of traveling to distant lands are my favorite activities.

I had a broken front tooth, and just the thought of going to a dental office is very scary. Everything completely changed yesterday after I got dental care from Dr O'Bregon and his staff. So grateful to receive excellent care from them. Gentle, compassionate, personal and affordable. I'm fortunate to have found this little precious gem!

This is my family dentist and has been for years. I go here, my wife goes here, my children, in-laws, and my mother all go here. Dr. Obregon is amazing by himself but when you add in the incredible staff he has assembled, this practice is the place to go. If you are even the slightest bit nervous about going to the dentist, the entire team will go out of their way to make it a great experience for you. Love this place!!!
