Dr. Kelleher is passionate about matching the care he provides to the most important concerns of his patients. Because we are each unique in our biologic foundation, it is important to match the biology of the patient to their treatment preferences.

Dr. Kelleher is a Board-Certified Orthodontist. He serves on staff at UC Davis Medical Center, helping kids with developmental anomalies. Additionally, he contributes to orthodontic research and literature and is engaged in study groups with fellow orthodontists in the Bay Area. Our mission is to advance the art and science of our specialty. In recognizing that new, 3D x-rays reveal that nearly 20% of all our patients have fairly delicate supporting bone, Dr. Kelleher has patented an orthodontic device to help reduce treatment risks in these patients and also to reduce extractions for optimizing the healthiest outcomes with other patients.

Well I'm up in the middle of the night thinking about my teeth so here we are... I had braces TWICE with Dr. Kelleher. Once in junior high and once in college. After the first time, my teeth became crooked even though I followed my retainer instructions. But he would later tell me it was because I didn't follow them. The second time around my set was heavily discounted because it was a small change and I had already had them before. Dr. Kelleher was very intimidating and pressured me to get my braces off even though my teeth weren't straight. I knew at the time they weren't perfect and should've stood up for myself. That's on me. I just kept thinking that he would clearly see the crowding on the one side of my smile and make the change. But I believe that since I was there cheaply, he wanted me out of his chair as quick as possible. Now when I go to the dentist, they clearly notice the crowding when I tell them I'm not happy with my smile. My smile is okay but the thing that bugs me is that my teeth feel more crooked than they look on the outside. The other huge problem that happened when I went to see Dr. Kelleher is my retainer. My retainer did not fit properly in my mouth. I thought at the time of receiving my retainer that it looked different than my first but trusted in his work. It was sloppy work. After faithfully wearing my retainer as I should have, my gums started to recede. The retainer was plastic and the top clear part went way above my gum line where it should not have been. I cut my retainer and sanded it down where it should be but the damage was already done. I didn't know this would happen to my gums. Your retainer should never be pressing on your gums and I was unaware of this. Now years later, I still have crooked teeth and now a gum line issue that my dentists have to watch very carefully. I wish I had pictures of where my retainer stopped and had pushed my gums away. It was very evident that my retainer did the damage from where my gums receded to and where the retainer hit my gum line. I know that your gums can recede after braces because of the muscles moving but this is not the case in my story. Anyway, long story short I would not recommend this orthodontist to anyone. I'm happy to see many people have had good experiences but I did not.

Dr. Robert Kelleher is Amazing. It was time for my oldest son to get braces. Then it was time for the little guy to get braces. And hey what the heck I always to wanted to get braces too. So, all three of us had braces at the same time and what an adventure it was. Rose and Heather are amazing and make you feel very welcome and at home in their Davis office. Dr. Kelleher has a wonderful since of humor that he leverages at every appointment. Get you in - educate you on what is going on - firm up the plan - make it happen and out you go smiling. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Kelleher to anyone who is looking to get a new smile as he took great care of the T Boys.
