Dr. Thein, Adrianna and Cindy are an amazing team. When I contacted Boston Dental I was an extremely fearful patient and after a year of them patiently working with me I now have a new smile. If you are considering dental work or are a fearful patient I highly recommend Boston Dental. Dr. Thein is an excellent dentist and is very funny, Adrianna is a thorough and gentle hygienist and Cindy is a very warm and friendly office manager.

This review is an emphasis by a real patient, having undergone real treatments, having experienced and witnessed real positive outcomes with Dr. Robert Thein, DDS and his entire staff at Boston Dental!'' Please understand that I don't get any "kick-backs" or financial incentives for writing suchpositive reviews--only the satisfaction of sharing with anyone searching for an excelent dentist that my interactions with Dr. Thein and all of the Boston personnel have been exceedingly good. This evening (Wednesday, November 17, 2021), I just came from a routine examination, and cleaning treatment. As always, the atmospherent there is very pleasant, hospitable, very clean and efficient. Dr. Thein is extremely conscientious in maintaining a safe, clean and antiseptic environment, but nicely balanced with a comfortable, friendly ambience. Although the procedure I underwent with Dr. Thein at Boston Dental occurred last year, it is notable to repeat here. Again, I don't receive any inducements or rewards for Dr. Thein--or anyone else. I share my experiences because, like an auto-mechanic, you want to let everyone know when you found a really good one--who won't cheat you! :Well, last year, I had an oral surgical procedure (to prevent peridontal complications on a tooth/gum) at Dr. Thein's. I was actually expecting the worse--pain, suffering--all those dreaded results that could occur once the anesthesia has worn off! The truth is that none of this occurred--but I really should have known better! As I mentioned once before on a previous review, my experience at Dr. Thein's has always been great. First, he and his staff have always given ample explanation of the importance of the procedure, what would occur; how much time it would take; and the prognosis of what I would fee during the recovery. Everything was right on target--in fact, much better than expected. The support staff (Cindy, their wonderful receptionists, Ariana, and Adriana--both very competent and gentle technicans) were (and have always been) very patient, understanding, and comforting. Dr. Thein even assured me before the operation that he'd be gentle --something we want to hear from our dentists! He had also shared with me that, in the interest of providing the best outcome, and to insure the easiest recovery, he would implement the procedure in part, and then resume after a recovery of a few weeks at no extra charge! Also, recognizing everyone is different in response to surgery, he prescribed additional pain medication--which, in fact I didn't need or use! I share all this (eventhough I do not write reviews often) in order to emphasis that it is worth repeating--Dr. Thein and Boston Dental are a class act--and if you're serious about finding and excellent dentist, you'd be silly not to investigate!!

I took the woman I cared for here and they seemed like they knew what they were doing, but little things happened here and there where I started to get really concerned. His "assistant" didn't know how to use a forehead thermometer, and seemed very off in a scary way if I had been sedated with her around. He was expensive, hard to get a hold of, and once sent her home with me while she was still 90% sedated and it was incredibly unsafe. The dentist was very funny but he would "hit" people after a funny joke and he hit my client hard a few times, and had she been more frail, he could have hurt her. I have no idea why she had chosen him but I would have gone somewhere else. My client has since passed so I won't be back.

Dr. Thein and his staff not only provide excellent service, they are also very friendly and helpful when it comes to dealing with your dental insurance provider. I recently had a cavity filled and they made sure I call back to let them know how I feel once the anesthetic wears off. I called back and told them I had some pain and discomfort once the anesthesia wore off, but I took some Tylenol which took care of it. But Dr. Thein called again the following day to really make sure I was okay. This is the kind of service my family and I never got from our previous dental provider that's why we switched to Dr. Thein. Lastly, I like that the office sends a text reminder of upcoming appointment couple of days before. UPDATED 5-13-2021 First of all I just want to applaud Boston Dental for going above and beyond Covid 19 safety protocol. My family and I felt so safe first time we walked in when they were finally able to reopen for service. They really took the safety of their patients to the next level compared to what I was hearing from friends about their experience going back to their own dental providers. My visit a few days ago was for my routine 6 month cleaning and check up. Unfortunately, I have a cavity on one molar and another needed filling to be replaced due to leakage. Dr. Thein took care of both of the problems same day so I don't need to make another appointment. This is the kind of excellent service my family and I have experienced since we switched to Dr. Thein. Not only is he accommodating, but we enjoy and appreciate his friendly demeanor and fun jokes. Also, have to mention the friendly staff especially Cindy who has been patient enough to deal with our not so user friendly insurance administrators. My family and I wish Dr. Thein and his staff all the best during this challenging times.

Dr. Thein is so thorough and all the staff are so kind. This is bar none my favorite dentist office I've even been to. I'm so happy with every visit I've had. Thank you Boston Dental!

I doubt you can find a dentist with better bedside manner. Dr Thein is very warm. You can trust him. A previous dentist told me I needed several fillings as well as a specialist. Dr.Thein's office did new x-rays and then gave me a thorough exam. He informed me that I didn't need any new fillings at all. He also gave me suggestions so that I didn't need a specialist. The front office person, Cindy, is very sweet and efficient. His assistant was very nice. The office is clean and during these times, I appreciate the strict Covid protocols. Over- all a very professional and caring experience.

Dr Thein did extensive dental work on me 7 or 8 years ago, resulting in implants and removable dentures. One of my teeth broke recently, I was so relieved that he was able to get it repaired in ONE DAY! Cindy is excellent, so are Ariana and the rest of his staff. This is not one those offices where you make an appt and talk to a million people and wait 30 min before you even see the dentist.

The office was very clean with appropriate air purifier. In an new era of covid i felt safe.My appointment started on time. Dr. Thein inserted a new crown meticulously and was very professional. I have been going to him for many years and would highly recommend him.Cindy is very courteous, mindful of patient needs when booking for an appointment . Adrianna is very thorough .

I badly needed my 2 front teeth recapped. I researched for 3 years and can say with confidence Dr. Thein was the perfect dentist to make me proud to 'smile big' again. After having a panic attack and severe anxiety going to previous dentists, Dr. Thein's expertise, compassion and sense of humor was exactly what I needed. He was meticulous, patient and honest about my particularly (challenging) situation. Not only did Dr. Thein recap my front teeth, he saved as much as my real teeth as possible (avoiding the need and finacial burden of implants). Equally as important he cleaned up 2 poorly done root canals from 3 decades ago. Cindy at reception is as welcoming and thorough as they come. I had many appointments at multiple locations. Cindy worked with me on scheduling and made everything clear and easy to understand. Dr. Thein and his entire team made me feel at home, they truly treated me like family. His practice is a rare gem in Los Angeles. I am in so much gratitude for Dr. Thein, Cindy and Adrianna for guiding me through this delicate process. Finally, I no longer fear going to the dentist!

I've been going to Dr. Thein for many years and have always received top-notch dental care. Last week I went for my first visit in the Covid era. Dr. Thein has instituted meticulous protocols for a safe environment. Masks are mandatory for all patients and he limits the number inside at a time. He has air purifiers in every room with U-V add-ons. All of the staff wear masks and space helmet face shields. He even imported an extractor fan from Korea to keep down any extra emissions. I felt very safe and received my usual superb dental exam and cleaning.
