Dr. Cheng was raised in the Bay Area and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of California, San Diego. Following graduation, he worked at The Scripps Research Institute focusing on cancer research. Dr. Cheng attended University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He continued his studies at University of the Pacific in Stockton, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. While attending University of the Pacific residency program, Dr. Cheng received the coveted Resident of the Year award.
