Dr. Robert Rooney earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from The University of New Orleans and his dental degree from L.S.U. School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his dental degree, he completed two years of advanced specialty training in Prosthodontics from L.S.U. School of Dentistry.
Prosthodontists are highly trained in techniques and procedures for treating many diverse and complex dental conditions and restoring optimum function and esthetics. These include: crowns, bridges, complete and removable partial dentures and dental implant restoration. Dr. Rooney maintains a Family Dental Practice with emphasis on Cosmetic, Implant, and Reconstructive dentistry.
His specialty training allows him to evaluate your smile and provide you with options to improve your smile. Dr. Rooney is a prosthodontist who can't wait to share his knowledge and expertise with you!

Dental Assistants- Amie and Lesley are the glue that helps hold the operatories together. Anytime you have any dental work done in our office you will inevitably see one of these fabulous girls. They've been assisting Dr. Rooney for 15 years now.

Update: They continue to amaze me with the level of care and concern they show me. The entire staff are exceptional and Dr Rooney is so kind! I can't thank you enough! There aren't enough stars to equal the quality of care I receive in every aspect of service here. I am a person with really intense dental anxiety. I just sat through 3 fillings without needing nitrous oxide. My heart was still racing but I didn't cry. I didn't even feel like crying, which is a first! Dr. Rooney is so kind and patient. His hygienists and assistants are comforting and knowledgeable. I can't say I enjoyed my visit but it was the best experience I have had at the dentist ever. I highly recommend this office!

Dr. Rooney and his staff are about as professional as you can get! Always a friendly and relaxing experience which is unusual for a dental visit, lol.... Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I have been Dr. Rooney's patient for more than a decade. I found him to be a highly skilled dentist and kindhearted human being. Imagine, Dr. Rooney sometimes forgets to bill you for the work he has done. Another thing that sets Dr. Rooney apart from other dentists is that he is not obsessed about x-raying your teeth. He is unique in St. Tammany Parish in this regard. Also, Dr. Rooney is affordable and his charges are reasonable, especially for senior citizens who have to count their dollars. Sometimes, when I look at my healthy teeth in the mirror, I say, "Yeah! Thank you Dr. Rooney."

Dr Rooney, Miss Mary hygienist, and all staff are very friendly and kind. Always patient, and they help me to always feel comfortable. Painless experience. I used to be afraid of dentists till I found dr Rooney, and now i am never afraid! I would recommend dr Rooney to all! My boys go there too now, and are very pleased too! Thanks, gwen

If you need a dentist - Dr Rooney is the one you should see. I have a very complex case but he took me as a patient without hesitation. He has a way of putting your mind at ease that everything will be fine. I also like the atmosphere of his office and staff. They are professional-yet warm and inviting. I think you should give Dr Rooney a call if you want a beautiful smile!

My husband and I have never looked forward to going to the dentist before meeting Dr. Rooney. He and his entire staff are amazingly friendly. My husband was injured while serving in Iraq years ago. He is NOT your average patient. Dr. Rooney made sure Carl was comfortable both physically and emotionally. Can't say enough good things about this office.
