Dr. Hekking completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and was accepted to Dental School at the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco, in their accelerated program. This program consists of year-round classes where students begin seeing patients in the clinic after their first week. Because students are able to observe, examine, treatment plan, and perform dental procedures after learning about them in class, UOP has a reputation for producing some of the country's top Dental Clinicians.

Dr. Hekking's father worked hard as a fork-lift mechanic to put him through college. As an immigrant from Holland and unable to get an education himself, he was so proud of his son's acceptance to Dental School. Three months before Dr. Hekking graduated his father passed away unexpectedly. He was a humble and honest man with a strong work ethic. It is the desire to make his family and his father proud, to instill his father's honesty and work ethic in his own children, and those he has influenced that continues to motivate him each day.

Every year Dr. Hekking attends Continuing Education classes to keep up with the latest in dental materials, equipment, and techniques. He has taken courses in Smile Makeovers, Dental Implants, and Periodontal Gum Disease to name a few. He also meets once a month with a study group consisting of other Dental Specialists and Oral Surgeons to discuss the newest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.

Holly has been in the Dental Field for 25 years and has spent the last 10 years working with Dr. Hekking. She oversees the office operations and any billing or insurance questions that our patients may have. Holly loves getting to know our patients and hearing their life stories. When she is not at the office, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and three children. She loves to camp, boat, and do anything crafty. You can find her at her children's games watching them play baseball and volleyball. Holly is also one of the biggest SF Giants fans out there!

Darcy is married with three children and has lived in Vacaville since 1999. She grew up in Napa and started her dental career soon after high school working as a chairside assistant and patient coordinator. Darcy took a break from the Dental Field in 1995 to raise her children and came back to work with Dr. Hekking in 2012. Her favorite part of working at our office is treatment planning for patients to give them a healthy happy smile they can be proud of. Darcy enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Lenna has been practicing in the Dental Field for 10 years. She worked as a Registered Dental Assistant for 7 years before she became a Hygenist in 2016. Lenna received her Registered Dental Hygienist License from Carrington College in Sacramento. She has been with Dr. Hekking since 2017 when she was hired temporarily to cover for maternity leave and ended up being hired permanently. Lenna says she loves how family oriented the office is. She truly cares about our patient's oral health and her favorite part of the job is

Nicole was born and raised in Vacaville, and has been a Registered Dental Assistant for the past 7 years. She is currently enrolled in school to further her education in the dental field and is studying to become a Dental Hygienist. Nicole says that her favorite part of working in our office is

Courtney graduated from Mount Diablo Dental Assistant program in Concord, California in 2017. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2018. Courtney says her favorite part of working with Dr. Hekking is,

When not at the office, Courtney enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She especially enjoys watching movies and cooking!
