I graduated from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in 1978 before obtaining my masters degree in Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics in 1984. I have been practicing orthodontics in Orange County for over 30 years and currently operate successful offices in both Laguna Hills and Rancho Santa Margarita. Since starting my practice in Orange County, I have been privileged to treat more than 7,000 patients.
I care deeply about supporting and furthering the profession of orthodontics, and throughout my career, I have volunteered my time in leadership roles for several professional organizations in both California and throughout the western United States. I am currently the president-elect for the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO). The PCSO provides state of the art training for both orthodontists and their team members in order to facilitate a safe, informed, and efficient treatment experience for patients. I have also served as a delegate in the House of Delegates for the American Association of Orthodontists for more than 8 years, and I am a past president of the California Association of Orthodontists.
I am passionate about staying current on the latest innovations in orthodontics. I help manage the Academy for Orthodontic Excellence, a study club that brings in speakers from throughout the world to update local orthodontists on the newest techniques in efficient treatment. I also attend the annual orthodontic society meetings of both the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
For over six years, I have been honored to serve as an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at my alma mater, Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. In this role, I enjoy guiding the next generation of orthodontists through their residency programs and instilling in them the skills and values of the profession that I hold dear. I was humbled to recently be recognized by fellow faculty and my students for my commitment to orthodontic education.
I live in Laguna Niguel with Carolyn, my wonderful wife of 39 years. We have three grown children. Our sons Dustin and Blake reside and work in southern California. Our daughter Alyssa is currently practicing dentistry in Fort Lewis, WA, where she serves as an officer in the U.S. Army. Alyssa is a fellow graduate of Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, and I was honored to present her with her diploma last year. Carolyn and I look forward to welcoming our first grandchild in December. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, golfing, paddle-boarding, and pretty much anything else that I can do outdoors.

Very smooth process. I was able to get in rather quickly. Front start to finish every interaction with the staff and Dr. Meister was great. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone took their time going over my evaluation and explaining the details and options. Orthodontic treatment is a big deal and can be a big cost. Not once did I feel pressured to start any kind of treatment. I left with all the information needed to make a confident decision. I would highly recommend Dr. Meister's office.

I was referred to Dr. Meisters office by my dentist for a consultation. Dr Meisters office was very thorough in getting back to me about scheduling. Very professional and friendly. I have not scheduled yet do to my own scheduling conflicts but I'm sure once I do I will be taken care of by their office.

I love Dr. Meister and all of the amazing staff there. My teeth are PERFECT!! I love my smile so much and I appreciate that the doctor took his time to make sure everything was perfect and I never felt rushed. Fatima was always so sweet and a wonderful technician who always made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this office

Dr. Meister is the best! He created beautiful smiles for both of my boys! My younger son had a more difficult mouth and I was amazed at the before and after pictures! I started off with Dr. Meister and his staff over ten years ago. Since that time all three of my children have had braces with wonderful results. All three of my children had different needs with their treatment. He did a wonderful job! My experience with the staff was always positive and never disappointed. Overall, my children received trusted excellent care. I would highly recommend Dr Meister!

I highly recommend Robert Meister Orthodontics. He is a highly knowledgeable orthodontist who came highly recommended by my prosthodontist. I am so thankful for his professionalism, expertise, and dedication. He is meticulous with his work and wants to see the best outcomes for all of his patients. That being said, it does take consistent patient and parent compliance to achieve success. Both of my children have used his services and my daughter just finished her braces and now has a beautiful smile. My son is still in the process of growing in his 12 year old molars so he will have to revisit Dr. Meister for his second phase of braces in due time. I have full faith in his practice and his staff is very professional, kind, attentive, and skilled. Top notch professionals should never go unnoticed! Thank you Dr. Meister and Staff!!
