My name is Bob Burns, (Robert E. Burns, D.D.S.). I grew up here in Knox County, and am a 1980 graduate of Mt. Vernon Senior High. My parents, both retired educators, still live in Gambier, in the house where I grew up. I received my bachelors degree from Miami University of Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 1988.
My wife Lynn and I recently celebrated our 25th anniversary. Lynn is an intervention specialist and a licensed teacher. Our children are Katie, David and Molly. Katie graduated from Fredericktown High School in 2010 and is a junior at Miami University. David graduated from Fredericktown High School in 2012 and is a freshman at Miami University. He recently earned his Eagle Scout designation. Molly is a freshman at Fredericktown High School, and plays trumpet for the band, and also runs track and cross-country.
I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including, camping, fishing, scuba diving and bicycling. I also enjoy helping out with our local Boy Scout Troop 342. Our family attends Green Valley United Methodist Church, which is a wonderful place to worship.
