Our dental office was founded in June of 1984 at the corner of Sycamore Drive and Cochran Street to provide quality dental care to the residents of Simi Valley and the surrounding communities, including Chatsworth, Moor Park, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, and Northridge. Dr. Bankhardt has a reputation for providing excellent dental care to the entire family, in an office that continues to evolve and embrace the latest standards, techniques, and technology. We pride ourselves on both high patient satisfaction and office reputation.
I grew up in Ventura County and live here in Simi Valley. I enjoy the outdoors and learning, but most of all, spending time with my family. Since graduating from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, I have been in pursuit of excellence as a dentist. This has required a personal commitment, many hours of continuing education, and several specialized dental programs. I believe high-quality dentistry and advanced education go hand in hand. By keeping up with the rapidly changing materials and techniques I will be better able to exceed your expectations and provide you with the finest dental care in Simi Valley.

Dr. Robert D. Bankhardt is a native southern Californian who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Prior to becoming a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Bankhardt attended Los Angeles Pierce College where he received an AA degree in Business. He then attended California State University, Northridge where he received a Bachelors degree in Cell/Molecular Biology. Upon completion of his Bachelors degree, Dr. Bankhardt attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors in 1986. Dr. Bankhardt has continued to update his education by attending numerous continuing education programs yearly to stay current with the latest developments in cosmetic dentistry and dental health. Dr. Bankhardt is one of the Simi Valley areas premier dentists specializing in cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Bankhardt and his staff are amazing! Everyone is friendly and, most importantly, gentle! It had been a while since I had been to see a dentist when I first started going to Dr. Bankhardt and neither he nor his staff made me feel guilty or ashamed. When hes not working as a cosmetic dentist, Dr. Bankhardt enjoys spending time with his wife and family, along with playing golf, both water and snow skiing, reading, traveling and keeping up with the latest computer technology.

Best Dentist ever! My previous dentist was Dr Zaks Family Dental. PLEASE be warned that Zaks Family Dental does HORRIBLE dental work that caused me injury and several costly procedures. I had a root canal where they left a piece of dental instrument in my mouth causing an infection. They lied about it when I filed a complaint with the dental board and told me that this happens all the time and was nothing to worry about!! They never informed me of there being a piece of the dental instrument being left in my mouth! Had they told me of this, I would of made them remove it immediately!! I had to go through a series of costly procedures to correct this! Fortunately, Dr Bankhardt corrected all this and made a VERY unpleasant situation tolerable.

Dr. Bankhardt is the best!! After going to a couple of less than stellar dentists I discovered Dr. Bankhardt and have not one regret. It has been about 18 years. He replaced a horrible bridge that was both ugly and not put in right; which had allowed for an infection to set in. I now have the best bridge. After about 15 years my bridge has no issues and looks natural. I get great regular cleanings and care. My family will not go anywhere else. I can't thank him and his staff enough.

It's the only place that dental work never needs to be fixed or redone by another dentist. He is an honest man with seriously remarkable skills. He is also kind. T Groves
