Tammy was born and raised in Indiana where she met her husband Jim in 2005. They relocated to the Tampa Bay area a year later and have been enjoying it ever since. All of Tammy and Jims children have 4 legs. Spanky and Buddy, who are both adorable pugs, have three feline siblings, Munchie, Lex, and Tiger. In her spare time Tammy enjoys boating, fishing, snorkeling, and making the handmade soap that you can find in our office. She started in the dental industry in 1986 and has enjoyed working with Dr. Yu since 2006.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Yu moved with his family to Saudi Arabia at the age of seven. The Yu family later migrated to the United States, where they settled and formed roots in Forest Hills, New York. Following high school, Dr. Yu enrolled in The State University of New York to pursue his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Dr. Yus fascination with dentistry and his patients well-being persuaded him to seek more knowledge. This leads him to attain his post-graduate training in Periodontology at The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental medicine. After serving a three-year residency, Dr. Yu relocated back to Florida, where he established his practice that you know today as Tampa Bay Dental Implants and Periodontics.
In addition to being a member of the Florida Dental Association and the Pinellas County Dental Association, he is also a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Yu currently resides in the Tampa area with his wife, Woomee, and children Christian and Sofia. He enjoys staying busy with family activities and can often be found taking action in community projects. Dr. Yu also desires to stay on the cutting edge of modern dentistry while using the most up to date materials and techniques available. He continues to stay ahead of the curve by attending extensive lectures, seminars, and workshops.
Dr. Robert Chuong is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist in St. Petersburg, FL. Dr. Chuong grew up in NYC attending Columbia University for undergraduate studies and went on to Harvard Dental/Medical School to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training. Dr. Chuong has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 1984 and maintains numerous affiliations with the local hospitals.

Horrible customer service skills with the office blaming stuff on the insurance companies so they can get cash out of patients even 18yr old kids. Then when asked about it they hang up on you. We felt uncomfortable and dirty when we first walked in should've went with our gut in the first place.

I had a relative positive experience at Dr. Chuong's office. The receptionist was nice to me, which was different than some other people have said. She quoted me an accurate visit cost range as well. Dr. Chuong was knowledgeable and experienced. He had a serious demeanor and was not very chatty but that doesn't matter to me as long as I am getting the care I needed. One thing that could be improved on is the wait time. I had an appointment scheduled for 8am but was not bought back into the room until 8:20 and then I had to wait another 10 mins or so for the doctor to come in. I thought the office opened at 8am according to their website but when I arrived at 7:55am, there were already 3 people signed in and ahead of me. I am not sure when the office opens but I thought I would be the first one. Other than that, I did not have any complaints. Dr. Choung and his staff were great.

Dr.Chuongand staff did an excellent job. I had very minimal swelling and was very impressed with that. Dr Chung is an exceptional surgeon surgeon.I would recommend him to anyone.

Should have read the google reviews before a visit to Dr. Chuong 3.9. Most unprofessional doctor's visit we have ever had and it was truly a great disappointment. Should have known it was not going to go well since he did not even know the current date when he entered the room and asked us. Went for a serious medical issue with the Jaw and he basically stated there was nothing he could do but once again trying to prescribe medication that only mask issues which does not treat the root cause. He stated an MRI probably would not see anything and was good at rolling his eyes, what health professional who cares for patients does that. Treated us like we were a problem for him just taking up his time. He even tossed his scripts pad on the table and stated pretty much get a second opinion with a mean and condescending tone because the patients questions were to hard to provide a professional and knowledgeable answer. He knew before we entered the exam room that there was nothing he could do to alleviate the severe pain and discomfort. It took him less than five minutes to do an exam for a $250.00 payment. Reminder that their were at least two people who observed this visit. I am sure he or his staff will try to say something about this review but I hope they will think about how a doctor should conduct themselves and see patients as people and have compassion for their medical condition. Lucky we have found a health professional who has started the healing process. To guide the doctor and his office with any reply, hear the words of the LORD in Ephesians 4:29 which states "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers". No excuses needed or replies required, just have more compassion for other patients in the future.

Dr. Chuong was very nice, thorough, caring & listened to my concerns from start to finish! He has a great personality & easy to talk with! I would highly recommend him & his staff; he was the best dentist that I have ever seen!!

I can not fathom how one dentist office can screw up so many things concerning my attempt at getting a night guard to prevent my teeth grinding. My regular dentist recommended him for this and I call in the fall of 2021 to get an appointment and he was booked up for about 6 weeks which wasn't a problem, but a few days before the appointment I was contacted to confirm my SURGICAL APPOINTMENT. I tried to explain that I had made the appointment in order to get a guard, and was told that I had to reschedule as the timing for the consult wasn't correct. Again I had to wait about 6 weeks. When I arrived for my appointment expecting for him to begin the process, I was told that no, that this appointment was to evaluated whether or not I really needed a guard (despite my dentist writing a referral) and the only result of that was the confirmation and being told the next step was to get pre-authorization from my insurance company. Once that was achieved then I would be contacted to make an appointment. That was in January. It is now March. I called them questioning why I hadn't heard from them and was told an obviously blanket response that "Sometimes these things took time as much as three months". She couldn't check on the status as that "was a different girl" but took a message for her to call me. On a hunch I called my insurance company and they told me Dr. Chung and never made any authorization to them. At this point I am so disgusted as their lack of professionalism that I am going to have to start all over with this process. It has been close to 6 months since I first made an appointment and I am out my co pay but enough is enough. *****This review prompted Dr. Chuong's office to contact me to offer to make things better. They asked me to come in right away in order to take the molds. I was pleased and hoped that this would be the start of things finally getting onto a more normal path, so I made the appointment. This, unfortunately, was not to be the case, and although I did receive my night guard, I continued to experience frustrating circumstances and even rudeness during both of my visits, and so must still stand by my original review. Dr Chuong's response to this review (We have since resolved the insurance problem and hope you are doing well with the night guard.) is also a testament to how things are unlikely to change since he appears to be clueless with the difficulties in his own office. The issue was never with an insurance problem. It was, however, with the person who was responsible for working with patient's insurance never submitted the forms for me.

All of the employees at Dr. Chuong's office were friendly and professional. Dr. Chuong did a great job extracting my husbands tooth that was broken into three pieces and was very difficult to remove. We were very pleased with our whole experience.

I want to give a BIG SHOUT to Dr.Choung and all his stay they made feel like I was at how they blow any question I had he took 3 of my teeth I was nervous at first but fine afterwards thank u DR. And staff04-29-22 every since I got my tooth extracted Ashley has been here to help me literally every time I called I felt like some really cared most people will sound irritated about me called 3 days straight I love meeting them and going to there office this my experience loved it I wish I knew the other staff everyone was great!SN: I couldn't make another review

After two other TMJ doctor visits that could not help me at all, I traveled from NW Tampa to St. Pete to see Dr. Choung. I was so impressed with Dr. Choung's knowledge. He explained fully what my problem was, pointing out everything from the X-rays. He was very patient with me, answered all my questions and explained his plan of action with my jaw problem. He was very calm and professional but most of all KNOWLEDGEABLE! And that's why I'll be making the trip to St. Pete again to have Dr. Choung help me with my jaw problem. I highly recommend Dr. Choung without any hesitation. PS..the office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Christine in the office scared me that she even works with children.I was having an insurance issue and she told me I clearly verbatim "You need us more than we need you,and that clearly I wasent running the show. From what I've experienced,she isn't running.much of anything but her nasty mouth.Filed a complaint with the insurance company about this office.

Absolute worst place. This office was filthy and staff didn't wear masks. There were sick people in the office & no safety precautions were taken. We waited over 2 hrs past our appointment time. The staff was beyond rude, along w/Dr. Chuong. Hands down, the worst medical office I've ever experienced. If you value your health, safety & time, stay away. Edit: 2/1/22- in response to their comment below, I was with my daughter (patient) the entire time and they are well aware. I paid for the appointment & confronted them on lack of safety measures.

First of all ..One of the top Doctors ever I've seen ..I've seen alot ..With my aggressive jaw issues.Other Doctors ran from my diagnoses..The staff are so supportive,, yet professional..And makes you feel at ease.. ..Dr. Chuong is a man of deep thought an preety dang intelligent..which some folks take this as no bedside manner... Well that's far from the case. Thses folks are there to support and help bring comfort on all levels .I drive from Brandon. Just to have the support a Thank you Dr .Chuong And all his great staff . EDIT : to the person who responded to my comment : I do not condone in any lying once so ever, I did not use not ONE foul language and I saw no reason too! The conversation didn't even last long enough to have that kind of miscommunication. I wasn't loud at all, I was very respectful, I simply asked basic questions & Had asked the representative what was her name after she gave me "proper" Instructions and then she hung up ?! That's ridiculous to lie on a patient knowingly the conversation didn't go that way at all, it's quite sad actually. Communication skills, respect & professionalism is what this office needs! ORIGINAL POSTING : Very rude receptionist , all I wanted was a scheduled appointment, I asked for her name & she hung up on me she made things way more difficult then what it should have been! Crazy that I happen to work in a dental office and our staff isn't as rude at all ! Really outta take some notes !

Their office is rude and made a mistake on the calendaring. I even called today to confirm my appt at 2pm and they confirmed after waiting 3 weeks for an appt. I do not recommend!!!
