Invisalign is a great alternative to traditional orthodontics for most adults. Whether you are looking to correct some major alignment issues or simply wanting to improve your smiles appearance, we are here to help you accomplish your dental goals.

Invisaligninvisible alignersare made to be invisible and removable. This not only makes treatment convenient but also less invasive and more discrete. In addition, this allows the process to be a bit more comfortable than that of traditional metal braces. The smooth plastic traystendto not irritate the gums and cheeks as much as the metal brackets. You remove the inserts to eat and brush your teeth. This makes it much easier to keep the trays andyour teeth clean, because food wont get stuck in them.Since there is nothing glued or stuck to the teeth, food wont get stuck and reactions toglue used withtraditional orthodonticsare not a concern.

The typical Invisalign treatment takes 12 months to complete, however, the actual time varies for each person. Most patients start to see a difference within 3 months of starting treatment. Your timeline will depend on the severity of your alignment issues. For example, a mild case of over crowded teeth may only take six months to fix and a small gap can be closed in as little as 2 months. Alternatively, more sever gaps and crowding can take longer than a year to correct. Patients are encouraged to wear their Invisalign 22+ hours a day to prevent treatment from being delayed and ensure continued progress.

Invisalign treatment is less painful than traditional metal braces.Anytime teeth are being moved, some discomfort should be expected. Most patientsexperience slight pain within the first fewdays of using a new alignment tray. The discomfort is temporaryand subsides whenteeth adjust to their new position.
