At Ackerman Family Dentistry, our entire team works together with the common goal of making your experience at our dental office exceptional, and we love what we do! Since our dental practice has been serving the Boise community for over 30 years, you will see a lot of familiar faces when you visit us.

Dr. Daniel Ackerman graduated with honors from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry, where he was able to gain skills both in the patient clinic and on rotations in public health practices. While in school, he participated in a selective study club that focused on conservative esthetic treatment using gold (the longest lasting restoration we do in dentistry), and received awards in implant dentistry and periodontology.

Dr. Dan has been married for four years to his wife Danielle, who is a studio artist and a pharmacy technician. They have two cats and are looking forward to settling down in their own place in the city. When he's not taking care of patients, Dr. Dan loves to golf and also enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and going on hikes with his wife, Danielle.

'I am a dentist because I love the satisfaction of helping people, and the relationships I get to have with patients. I also love the satisfaction of making something that was broken whole again. Dentistry is part science and part art, and I find the artistic aspects of dentistry both rewarding and engaging.'

Dr. Bob and his family have been in the Boise area for 30 years. His wife of 40 years Beverly home-schooled all three of their boys through high school, and all three of them live in the area. His youngest son, Robby, is currently finishing high school and keeps him young. Dr. Bob loves to ski, hike, explore, and spend time with family when he's not at the dental office.

'I have enjoyed fostering patient relationships for thirty years during my dental career, and I love to help people maintain their smile for a lifetime. I have enjoyed watching the generations of families in my dental practice grow, and hope to make a positive impact in their lives.'

Nilda loves meeting new people, helping each patient feel comfortable and cared for while in our office, and working with such a dedicated team of dental professionals! Nilda's hometown is Pretoria, South Africa and in her spare time, she loves spending time in the outdoors, hiking, paddle boarding, and biking. She also enjoys getting lost in a great book and being able to share her passions with her family.

Michele has been with the practice since 2005 and been practicing for over 30 years! She was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Las Vegas as a child. In 2005 she moved to Boise with her husband and two children and has loved it ever since! She loves the personal relationships that she has made with her patients and loves to see the positive impact that she can make in their lives. Educating them on theimportance of good oral hygiene and the effects gingivitis and periodontal disease have not only in the mouth but also in their general health. Michele loves being a part of an awesome team of dental professionals that take the time to listen and get to know all of our patients. We treat their dental needs with quality dental work delivered in a kind and professional manner. In her spare time, Michele loves to play tennis, quilt, and spend time with her friends and family. Michele has two children, her son and his wife live in Texas and are expecting our first grandchild later this year! Her daughter is a senior at BSU and will graduate in May with a bachelor's in nursing. She is so proud of both of them!

Michelle was born and raised in Kona, Hawaii, and graduated from Idaho State University. She has been working as a dental hygienist for 25 years and has been with Ackerman Family Dental for the last 3 years. She is passionate about her role as a hygienist and enjoys building relationships with her patients, helping them become healthier, and maintaining their beautiful smiles. Michelle is also a myofunctional therapist providing personal care to each of her clients, stressing prevention, and helping them avoid problems before they occur.

Jean joined Dr. Ackerman's Team in 1996. She finds it rewarding to be part of a dental team providing excellent dental care to all of their patients. Jean was born in Maryland, living in several states as a child, she claims Arnold, California as her home town. Jean enjoys time spent laughing with family and friends as well as playing games, having a BBQ, walking her dogs, and snuggling her grandkids.

Ann is originally from Lewiston, ID, and she moved to the Boise area in 2006. She has been in the dental field for over 19 years and has been taking care of patients at Ackerman Family Dentistry since 2006. Ann appreciates the relationships she's built with patients over the years, and she loves helping them get the dental treatment they need.
