Throughout his career, Dr. Rosenfeld has continued to train rigorously with top aesthetic and restorative dental experts from around the world. In addition to his advanced training, which includes The Pankey Institute and the Kois Center, Dr. Rosenfeld has served the community through his work with Share the Care Foundation and St. Leos Dental Clinic. He also chaired The Continuing Education Council and served on the Board of Directors for The County Dental Society.
Dr. Rosenfeld is now recognized as a clinical instructor at The Kois Center, which allows him the opportunity to interact with students and participants throughout the year. In addition, Dr. Rosenfeld annually attends the Kois Center Symposium held in Seattle at the Kois Center. The symposium provides a yearly update on systems, products, and protocols based on the newest developments in evidence-based research. Dr. Kois is both informative and inspiring; he encourages all of us to provide excellent dental care. This symposium was the first fully digital dental course in the world, bringing continuous education into the next century.
Dr. Rosenfeld is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, South Coast Academy of Dentistry, and The Pierre Fauchard Academy.
A Clinical Instructor (CI) is a Kois Center Mentor who has been recognized as having an exceptional understanding of the Kois Center concepts and applies these principles in their daily practice. A Clinical Instructor is selected through peer-nomination.
Kois Clinical Instructors, such as Dr. Rosenfeld, have attained the highest level of commitment to patient-centric care. They are particularly skilled in teaching the Kois expanded dental techniques and principles as well as incorporating these into their own demanding dental cases involving multi-disciplinary care.
Dr. Rosenfeld and his family have lived in the Del Mar / Solana Beach area for over 30 years. He is proud to be an active member and past president of the Del Mar Rotary Club, where he has served since 1983. Heis dedicated to serving the community by providing the best that dentistry has to offer. His daughter, Dr. Rachel, is a Clinical Psychologist. His wife, Beth, has been at UCSD for 30 years, as Assistant Director of Financial Services.
Front Office Manager Valerie has been assisting dental patients with their scheduling and treatment since 1986! She holds her AS degree in Office Administration and is a lifetime member of the AADOM (American Association of Dental Office Managers). Valerie has two adult sons.
Registered Dental Hygienist Ruzanna became a registered dental hygienist in 1996 graduating from Mesa College. At Mesa College, she was on the Honor List, Deans List, and received the Inspirational Award. Ruzanna enjoys cooking, knitting, yoga, music, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
Clinical Coordinator Cathy is a valuable team member. Some of her duties include sterilization of instruments and equipment, preparation of treatment rooms, and assisting in dental procedures as needed. When Cathy is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and mountain biking.
Registered Dental Assistant Trish is a North County Native! Her childhood dentist inspired her love of dentistry and she is happy to be part of our team. Trish loves getting to know her patients on an individual basis and when not in the office, enjoys walking on the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.

I have known Dr. Robert Rosenfeld since he started practice 40 years ago. He is a great dentists and a great person. His office is efficient, professional, and up to date. Dr. Rosenfeld himself has a very gentle manner, explains things thoroughly, and makes the overall dental experience very tolerable, even for those who for or the dentist. I have been with the hygienist for 15 years or so, had multiple crowns placed, teeth whitened, etc. I will be sad when he retires, but by that time I may not have any teeth left. Cannot say enough good things.

The dentist used to always give me anxiety. Currently, I feel like I am receiving the best care, and the fear has lessened. Dr. Rosenfeld and staff do a wonderful job to advise me professionally and take care of me so I know all my options. A wonderful doctor and the best dental practitioner I've ever had.

My second visit to Dr Rosenfeld. The Dr and his staff are awesome. On time, Professional, gentle and thorough. The office is extremely clean. I had not been to the dentist in over ten years and knew I needed to go. I was so fortunate to find Dr. Rosenfeld and his staff. They put my anxiety at ease and made me very comfortable. They are all very friendly and really care about their patients. I no longer fear going to the dentist now. I would highly recommend Dr. Rosenfeld for any dental needs you have.

While not a fan of dentist, Dr. Bob and everyone is very friendly, warm and helpful. Making me feel comfortable. Given the current pandemic, everything was clean and secure. I felt very safe and confident.

Dr. Rosenfeld, Ruzanna, Cathy and all of the staff are wonderful!! The office is gorgeous, and the equipment and procedures are all state of the art. I recommend this office to all of my friends, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a dental office with not only the best available care, but also warmth and compassion for each individual patient!

Outstanding staff and experience for a very very anxious patient. I really can't recommend this practice enough. Being scared of the dentist is pretty universal. Dr Rosenfeld and his team go beyond the norm and they have the additional qualifications and credentials to do make even the most scared and anxious get through it in comfort. 5 Stars
