Dr. Fernandez is a highly qualified and respected practitioner of orthodontics. We use digital scanning for the most accurate patient evaluation. Our treatments include traditional metal and clear ceramic braces and Invisalign. Knowing that your time is valuable, we offer a flexible schedule that includes early morning and evening hours. Our treatment coordinator works with insurance companies, Health Spending accounts and in-house financing to make treatment affordable.
Dr. Fernandez, as her patients know her, grew up in Hamilton Square, NJ and always had an inclination to practice medicine. But while attending Steinert High School, she got her first part-time job at a local dental practice where she began working as a sterilization technician and was exposed to every dental specialty, eventually assisting in various dental procedures. It was there that she realized her dream of becoming an orthodontist.
After graduating high school at the top of her class, Dr. Fernandez left her hometown to attend college at Boston University in Massachusetts, where she balanced school, working part-time as a phlebotomist, and making time for her favorite hobby: dancing and performing in a hip-hop dance group. Dr. Fernandez earned her Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor concentration in French and also studied abroad in Ecuador to attend the Universidad de San Francisco de Quito in the division of conservation biology.
She later moved to New York to attend Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Her area of concentration was oral maxillofacial surgery and she was published in the Columbia Dental Review for her case report on the management of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type I patient during third molar extractions. Her love of city life continued to thrive while spending her free time enjoying all things great about NYC: food, sightseeing, nightlife, and falling in love.
Dr. Fernandez spent an additional two years of specialized post-graduate training in orthodontics and maxillofacial orthopedics at Howard University. She was mentored by the Paffenbarger Research Center, part of American Dental Association Foundation, and completed her dissertation on assessing the effects of amorphous calcium phosphate on decalcification. The end of her residency marked the beginning of when all her dreams were about to come true. Hard to believe that she started as a sterilization tech and twelve years later she was officially an orthodontist.
Dr. Fernandez married her dental school sweetheart and fellow orthodontist, Dr. Jason Vives. While they love city life, they do not like city-life space (or lack thereof). Dr. Fernandez and her husband reside in Monroe, NJ where they have ample yard space for their adorable two kids, Jace and Juliana, to expend their unending energy. Jace says he wants to be an orthodontist when he grows up, although it may have something to do with some coaxing from Grandma Susan, also a long-time Hamilton Square resident. Both Jace and Juliana enjoy spontaneous dance parties where they bust a move to their favorite tunes playing on the radio or Sonos. They also love going to New York City and traveling to sunny beach destinations. They truly are their parents kids.
If home is where the heart is, then Dr. Fernandez is exactly where she belongs. Robbinsville Orthodontics is located in and around an area where Dr. Fernandez has deep roots both professionally and personally. She is excited to, once again, be part of the community that supported her dreams from the start and believes that there is nothing more fulfilling than being able to transform a patients life and improve their self-confidence and self-esteem by simply changing their smile.

My son just got his braces off last week and the only thing he said was I'm going to miss the doctor and the staff sweetest group ever loved everything about this experience he smiles now with so much confidence can't wait for his one month check up just to see them

My experience at Robbinsville Orthodontics was beyond my expectations! I was blown away by the kindness and professionalism of the staff as well as the cleanliness and state-of-the-art technology used at this office. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles. Dr. Fernandez was super professional but answered all of my questions and concerns very simply so it was easy for me to understand. The entire staff was very friendly. I started my Invisalign treatment 4 weeks ago and I am already seeing results. I was mostly concerned about my front two teeth and they are already straight! I wish I could give more than 5 stars in this review and I would recommend this office for orthodontic procedures to everybody. I wish I found them sooner!

I can't Thank Dr. Fernandez and all the girls at Robinsville Orthodontics enough. Everyone was so pleasant, professional and accommodating. They always run on time and the office is immaculate. I love my smile now and get so many compliments. I know I made the best choice by going to RO for my invisalign. I would definetly recommend this place to anyone, child or adult. Top Notch!

Robbinsville Ortho has the nicest staff I have EVER experienced! The girls are so knowledgeable and caring to us and our kids. They always get right back to me with any questions or concerns I have. The kids love going there! Such Beautiful clean office! Dr Fernandez is the best!!! My son is finishing up with his Invisalign. His teeth look gorgeous! My daughter has been going there for a year and they are not rushing to put braces on her which is very comforting! Thank you Dr Fernandez and your staff for all your hard work and support!

I love this place. Dr. Fernandez and the whole team are excellent and caring. My teeth have changed literally in a short period, and they are looking better each day. I looked around for an orthodontist with flexible hours and a good location to my work. Robbinsville Orthodontist has that and more! Their team is highly skilled and so so accommodating. They've taken necessary measures to keep their clients safe during the pandemic. Dr. Fernandez made herself available through email/online even when the office had to close at the beginning of covid. They are very understanding and work with your lifestyle. I have invisalign and struggled with them during my pregnancy. They helped by giving me options and never made me feel like a failure. I have nothing negative to say. This is the place to go. They really make you feel like family.

I have to say out of all my dentist, doctors, etc. throughout my life, the ladies at Robbinsville Orthodontics do it best! They are so nice and friendly with all their patients sometimes I forgot about the teeth and I was just hanging out with my friends! I made close relationships with Dr. Fernandez and Jordan it was always nice to catch up what was going on with each other's lives. They also did an excellent job on my teeth using Invisalign to give me those perfect white teeth that you see on TV. I can't thank the team at Robbinsville Orthodontics enough for the hard work to get my teeth where they need to be! 10/5 stars!

My sister and I started our Invisalign treatments last November and we've had a terrific experience with Dr. Fernandez and the whole team at Robbinsville Orthodontics. After receiving a consultation for Invisalign several years ago at another practice and being told that my particular case would be complicated and costly, I was hesitant to try again. I did an initial consultation with Dr. Fernandez and she took plenty of time to review my scans and answer any questions I had. The consultation was not rushed and she was very reassuring that with time we could correct my bite and crowding issues that the other practice hesitated on. Jordan was fantastic at reviewing my payment plan, and is very responsive to every email and phone call. Krystle and Neida make check-in appointments a breeze. Everyone in the office takes an interest in what's going on in your life, not just as a patient but overall. A year into treatment and now into refinements, I'm thrilled with my results so far. My bite and crowding have made massive improvements and I no longer feel self conscious when I speak or smile. Invisalign has been a big commitment especially during the pandemic, but Dr. Fernandez and the whole team have taken all the precautions to make the office safe for visits. The flexibility to email, call, or text the office makes staying in contact very easy. I highly recommend Robbinsville Orthodontics if you're considering treatment, especially for adults interested in tackling Invisalign. I can't wait to see what my teeth will look like at the end of treatment!

There really isn't much to say for Robbinsville Orthodontics other than the fact that they are absolutely amazing. The staff are all super knowledgable and friendly. You never feel like you're coming to an orthodontist here. You feel like you're coming to visit some friends or family. The. Best.

The staff is just as amazing, they incorporate so many nice personal touches, the customer service is world class.
