Dr. David L. Jones was born and raised in Martinsville, Virginia, where he graduated as the Senior Scholar-Athlete from Carlisle School in 2001. During college at the University of Virginia, he played on the club golf team and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biology in 2005.
Dr. Jones attended dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in Richmond. While there, he served for four years as the Student Coordinator for the Virginia Dental Missions of Mercy projects, which provide free dental care to our underserved populations in Virginia. Dr. Jones graduated at the top of his class as a member of the prestigious OKU National Dental Honor Society.
After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Jones continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia in the VCU Department of Orthodontics one of the most respected orthodontic programs in the nation. In residency, he treated over 200 patients, giving him extensive experience with braces, Invisalign, and difficult cases requiring collaboration with other dentists and dental specialists. Upon completion of these additional two years of specialized post-graduate training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, he received his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) along with his Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Jones was then asked to join the private practice of his orthodontic professor in Richmond as an associate, where he practiced for two years. While there, he acquired tremendous knowledge in clinical efficiency for adult and adolescent orthodontic treatments, aesthetic orthodontic treatments including Invisalign for Teens and Adults, clear braces, and interdisciplinary restorative cases.
Dr. Jones and his wife, Justine, relocated to Roanoke in the fall of 2014 when they acquired Dr. McCorkles practice. They are so happy to be back in Southern Virginia in a family-friendly community to raise their sons, Lawson and Owen. In their free time they enjoy exploring the Roanoke Valley, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Nicole DeShon grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, and graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2007. She received her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She attended West Virginia University and earned her M.S. in Orthodontics and a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2014. While at WVU, Dr. DeShon enjoyed volunteering in her community and traveling to further her education at advanced training courses. Her favorite part of residency was learning from her co-residents and mentors.
For the past seven years, Dr. DeShon has been practicing in Martinsville, Virginia, with Dr. David C. Jones. While in private practice she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, including reaching Invisalign platinum status. Dr. DeShon takes pride in letting her patients know that, in the majority of cases, she can accomplish their goals using any of the orthodontic appliances they prefer metal braces, clear braces, Invisalign and more. Dr. DeShon believes her role as an orthodontist is to make her patients her highest priority, and she strives to make each treatment decision as if she were making it for a member of her own family. Dr. DeShons favorite aspect of her job is forming long-term relationships with her patients and their families.
Dr. Maston McCorkle, Jr. has been in private practice since 1982. Dr. McCorkle graduated from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia, did clinical instruction in pediatrics there, and completed a two-year orthodontic residency in 1982.
Dr. McCorkle maintains professional memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Society of Orthodontists, Virginia Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Piedmont Dental Association, Roanoke Valley Dental Society, MCV Orthodontic Education and Research Foundation, and the Roanoke Valley Orthodontic Study Club. He is a past president of the Virginia Association of Orthodontists, the MCV Orthodontic and Research Foundation, and the Roanoke Valley Dental Society.
Away from the office, he enjoys bike riding, snow skiing, traveling, boating, playing bridge, and singing in the church choir. He also does volunteer work with his church and at Wasena Elementary School.

10/10 Recommend! Quick scheduling, warm and friendly staff that goes above and beyond in regard to customer service (even by writing personal welcoming signs!), BEAUTIFUL office, comfortable xrays, and best of all NO molds for Invisalign! Everything was scanned digitally. Taylor Salon was especially helpful and took the time to answer all of my questions! I could not rave more about my wonderful experience! Referring my husband next!

Hands down, BEST orthodontist office in the Roanoke Valley. I spoke with several orthodontists prior, and they all advised that with my bite, they would have to break my jaw. I visited Roanoke Valley Orthodontics and was anticipating the same response, however, Dr. Jones assured me he could fix my teeth without having that procedure done. Today I got my braces off and year and a half later and love my smile...all thanks to him. Everyone there is so inviting and works hard at what they do. I have disliked my teeth for years and my teeth look better than I could have imagined. 10/10 recommend!

Great first experience with braces. They explained process clearly to both my son and to me and also checked in to see how he was doing that night on the day of getting his braces on. The facility is very clean and inviting.

We went into the office just for a consultation. Due to some cancellations they were able to put the braces on that day. We were shocked. The staff was friendly and attentive. Also Dr Jones even called to see how my son was doing. I'm glad we picked him.

Dr. Jones and his staff are awesome. It is so hard these days to find the complete patient care package in an office like I have found with Dr Jones office. From day 1 all the way through to the end of wearing my braces, Dr Jones and his staff could not have been more amazing.
