Rizzo Dental Group - General dentist in Orlando, FL

Dr. Rizzo offers all phases of dentistry. He has advanced training in cosmetic procedures including laminate veneers, cosmetic crowns and Invisalign invisible orthodontia. At our office we offer Nitrous Oxide analgesia (laughing gas), to help the more anxious patients. Dr. Rizzo also performs more complex procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions and root canals, alleviating the need to refer to specialists, in most cases.

Educated first at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he obtained a bachelor degree in finance, Dr. William Rizzo then graduated from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine, and chose to complete a one year general-practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Pittsburgh.

That was a very rewarding time for me, Dr. William Rizzo said. I was given the opportunity to help veterans from World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, and even Desert Storm. My grandfather is a decorated veteran from World War II. He earned the Purple Heart and Silver Star, so I was able to talk with a lot of these men and relay stories about my grandfather as I listened to them. It was a great experience for me. In addition to the gamut of conditions Dr. William Rizzo faced with such a diverse group of patients, he and the other practitioners conducted frequent health fairs, at which, in one day, they would screen between 300 to 600 people for oral cancer. As a result of early diagnoses, many lives were saved.

Dr. William Rizzo and his wife Tracey relocated to Orlando in 1998, and he began working as an associate dentist in established offices. After gaining practical experience in an office setting, Dr. William Rizzo knew the type of dental practice he wanted to open. He assembled an experienced staff of dental professionals; equipped his office with state-of-the-art technology; established relationships with many major insurance carriers; and transformed the office space into a warm, inviting place where people of all ages could go for high-quality, yet reasonably priced, dental care. Dr. Rizzo has been married to his lovely wife, Tracey, since 2000. They have 3 beautiful daughters, Callie, Reilley and Rymer Jean. Dr. Rizzo is an avid golfer and skier. He also enjoys spending time at the beach with his family.

In the office he offers all types of dentistry from simple tooth colored fillings to more complicated procedures such as crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, implants, veneers and Invisalign. Dr. Rizzo enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and he regularly participates in continuing education with a particular emphasis in cosmetic and implant dentistry. When he is not working at the office he enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their 2 children Franklin and Mackenzie.

Dr. Jeffrey Rizzo graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, with a degree in Management Science, and he received his dental degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school he attended additional externships in maxillofacial prosthodontics and implant dentistry.

Upon graduation, he moved to Central Florida and joined a large multidisciplinary dental practice that had specialists in orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and endodontics. It was his day to day interactions with all the different specialists and their teamwork like approach to treatment planning that helped him hone his dental skills in all facets of dentistry.

If there was a 0 star that's what I would be giving this company! I visited this office for fillings I had no pain going in. The day of my filling the doctor seemed angry at something and was extremely rough. When I arrived home my tooth was hurting. They said it was normal and I should just take something over the counter. The entire weekend the pain just progressed. First thing Monday I called and they were able to see me and then another doctor was available. He said that I needed a root canal... from a filling to a root canal. I was extremely upset I scheduled the root canal and also had a second opinion since now I didn't trust them. The other dentist second opinion at another practice also said it was indeed a root canal so i decided to do the work with rizzo since they seemed to want to work with me and make up for the issue that was caused in their office. I should've known better because after the root canal I still had pain and months later I still do. They are trying to charge me for services I did not complete.I am asking for my statements of services they have provided and payments receipts because I never received those. The office manager is denying me from that. She is the most despicable human I have ever spoken to. This office should be investigated for malpractice. I am sure I am not the only patient they have hurt and neglected. I have to go to endodontist to have this repaired and have no desire to work with these people. Stay away from them!

Dr. Jeff Rizzo is condescending, rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional in communicating with patients. I wasted my time coming to his office. I was in tears from nonstop sharp pain that was worsening. He came in and tried to review a whole dental plan with me (which was very expensive by the way). He didn't even mention the area that I had come in there for! I told him that I was interested but his plan would have to wait for later because I was in pain. He said "Well I don't know what you want me to do because I don't do extractions". He said his brother does extractions but he couldn't see me. I kept trying to ask questions about what I could do to manage the pain and he kept cutting me off, and accused me of rebuttal when all I was trying to do was gain clarification so I could make a decision. It wasn't just what he said but HOW he said it. He proceeded to refer me somewhere else and never gave me a prescription for antibiotics, pain, nothing. When I arrived at the next place they were appalled that he hadn't even done that. He did not attempt to address my pain AT ALL, but sure did bill my insurance for a panoramic x-ray that I didn't take, so when I got to the next place I had to pay out of pocket for it! He does not handle patients questions well, is harsh in speaking, a bad listener, and somehow has forgotten that he is here FOR the patients. The other staff were very kind, and it was obvious that even they were uncomfortable around him. Please go somewhere else.

I called to schedule an appointment for cleaning. The lady Kathy whose supposedly also the manager schedule my appointment. She decided that I only needed to come in for an exam instead of the full service I requested. I went there under the impression I'm going to get a cleaning, only to wait an hour to be told I'm done. Literally, wasted my time and charged me for a service That I didn't request. The Spanish girl in front did not help, she was just being too rude. The Kathy lady called me back confirmed I asked to be scheduled for a cleaning but, she saw that I have not been there in two years so she scheduled me for an exam! Like why not tell me that so I can know What's going on and decided if I needed to scheduled another day where I can get both. This place literally only care about their race and money.

So I looked up dentists and found Rizzo Dental pretty close to my house so I made an appointment. Was having a problem with a tooth. They scheduled other services before what I came for (understandable since I'm not the expert, they are) but I also made appointments for my kids and every time the actual appointment came, the amount changed. Of course I was bothered. Then they said they needed to pull all my wisdom teeth out. Not only was I told by other doctors that it wasn't necessary but I had to go to the ER for pain and missed many days of work. I changed jobs so I decided to wait for my insurance to be valid so I could make an appointment and at least finish the deep cleaning with them (they only did half the mouth) and they told me I needed to change it to a ppo. So I changed it and waited again, for them to later tell me I have to pay for canceled appointments before making an appointment. So, I still just want to finish cleaning so I call back to pay and now they don't want to take my insurance and said I have to make my own claims and pay them beforehand. Honestly if you have money to throw and don't mind days off of work while you're at the hospital then these are the people for you. If you want to pay what you're supposed to the first time and want great dental service then just go somewhere else. I'm sure everyone else was asked to review while there because no way this place deserves a single star

Would leave zero if I could. Was a patient for many years but gladly leaving and never coming back and making sure as many people know that it's all because Cathy, the office manager, decided to all of a sudden penalize me for unpaid rescheduling fees for a cleaning from fall 2020! This is after I had been seen many times after, one of which was to get a filling. Which I did and that filling chipped, so I made an appointment spring 2021 to get it fixed. At my appointment I was told that because one of the chairs broke, I could no longer be seen as my reason was not an emergency; and they turned me away. Since, it has been a nightmare trying to get back in. And each time I tried again, I was given the runaround. Until, I was finally told, almost 6 months later...sorry we can no longer have you as a patient! Shocked! Insulted! Disgusted! Would not recommend!

Professional and knowledgeable staff. I saw Dr. William Rizzo for my service. He was friendly, didn't rush my appointment, and addressed my concerns. The practice is a one stop location for simple or complex dentistry as well as cosmetic procedures. I would recommend this office for new patients.

Dr Jeff Rizzo is very experienced, confident and honest. I had a crown done w/my orthodontist, and she didn't have much experience doing that. I was in so much pain during last Christmas. She tried to fix, and it got even worse. A friend recommended him (Dr Jeff) and he was so right to the point. I left the office very satisfied, and my problem was over, and he got himself a new patient. Whenever someone needs, I refer him with pleasure! Just had partials done @ the office, that didn't hurt my packets. Friendly office.

The doctor is very good with his work. But the place is a bit old and stuff is falling apart. However, handling with insurance is a problem. I was told the amount to pay was wrong 3 times. I understand I have to pay extra whatever my insurance doesn't cover. But how many time does it take for you to find out how much I owe. Until the third time getting the mail said I owe more money from the last visit. Just be prepared to pay more. Don't even try to explain to them. They think you are rude. They think I'm stupid because they want to send me some paperwork's and I said no. The reason because there's no more point to look at it when at the end I still have to paid whatever they tell me. I hope I don't get another mail said I old more stuff.

The younger of the two brothers is SUPER rude and ignorant to his staff. I felt so uncomfortable every time I was there. Their Glassdoor reviews were bad and it was no surprise.

We've been going to The Rizzo Dental Group for over five years and have been impressed with how they handle families professionally. We love having the convenience of a modern family practice and not needing a pediatric dentist! Dr Bill and Dr Jeff are both wonderful with children and all the hygienists are gentle and kind, and one of them even allowed my daughter to act as her assistant while cleaning my teeth! Dr. Bill is great with handling high anxiety individuals and takes a real interest and care for each client even though he's clearly busy with lots of happy patients! The receptionist are friendly and eager to help. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The practice is very clean and safe especially during times like these. I highly recommend Rizzo Dental Group!
