Never will be back! The staff is sweet but DR Rix is terrible my 5 yr old felt everything after her giving him 4 shots to cap a tooth he Literally was hurting so bad and crying while she was capping it his back was pure sweat when he finally got up! This was his second time at the dentist an he was traumatized! I'm just shocked she didn't stop after clearly he wasn't numb!!!

I absolutely love coming here for my kids dental work! Dr Rix said a prayer for my 4 year old daughter before they took her back to work on her teeth! Praise the good Lord for people like her!!

We really like Dr. Weldon. Our daughter has a rare genetic disorder and I was nervous about her appointment but Dr. Weldon was so nice and patient.

The VERY best! You will not find another office that cares more about your childs overall oral health. Dr. Rix is a true gem and her staff is second to no one.

The doctor was extremely rude when my son was supposed to get his tooth pulled out she slammed everything on the desk and walked out because he was scared I will never be back here I've never seen a grown woman act like that you work with children of course they're going to be scared when they know you're pulling her tooth out

Called for an emergency on the night before thanksgiving because my 14yr old got 1/2 of his front permanent tooth broke off and didn't get any response until the next day! At that time received several text stating Dr Weldon was out of town and I completely understand the holidays but... don't give an EMERGENCY NUMBER IF YOU DON'T take the calls until it's convenient. This way the parent can go forward as need be. Upon receiving multiple text and Dr Weldon asking for photo's she then proceeded to tell me the process and they would work him in on Monday morning but I may have a long wait which was fine with me. Dr Weldon made me feel everything would be fine and to put the fragment of tooth in milk and that I had already done. At this point Mom is feeling better about the situation UNTIL I get the call that Dr Weldon wasn't aware he was 14 and this was a permanent tooth yet this was my biggest concern I left on multiple messages trying to reach them. Had it been a baby tooth why would I feel an emergency. I wouldn't be afraid to say that the pictures sent via text would definitely show the teeth were permanent due to the looks for a dentist , right! My son has big nice beautiful front teeth that definitely don't look like baby teeth. To look at his pictures sent also shows that he's well over the age of baby teeth. So now I get told we haven't been there in over 2yrs.. ok I get that.. I have a 32yr old that has become terminal in the past 2yrs and I experienced a heart attack and explained why I'm behind as a mother but I ask repeatedly is this why you will not see my child and the answer is no this is not the reason. The reason AGAIN is we haven't seen him in over 2yrs and it's a permanent tooth. My next question is... what age do you stop treating your patients... answer: when they graduate high school! At this point I give up! I then call back and ask them to have Dr Rix call me herself! They will give her the message! Within a few mins I receive a call that Dr Rix will see him tomorrow afternoon but to understand it will be a temporary fix. Then I receive another call that they've had a cancellation could we be there early morning. All of this being said , they put this Mom through torment and at the end of the day decide to take us after I've made 14 calls to other dentist that he would be a new patient too and was unable to get him in quick due to that. This is unacceptable when you are a pediatric dentist that should care about children and their teeth... I'm sorry... did I mention we are Medicaid recipients... but a friend of ours isn't and they received treatment for the very same incident with no questions or hassle at all the very next day and it was a permanent tooth and it was fixed with no problem. Everyone has different circumstances and you never know what the reason!! I am a very disappointed mother and wouldn't recommend any parent to this office due to their attitudes and negligence of a child in need! Who wants to go to school at 14 with half of a front tooth! Thankful a wonderful gentleman in Gadsden Alabama has welcomed us in with no undue stress and will fix it right away!! I will be happy to share my text and pictures between Dr Weldon and myself for anyone in doubt!

I am somewhat of a demanding parent when it comes to my children's teeth. Rix Pediatric Dentistry has taken care of my children's teeth for the last 3 years and has done a fantastic job! Dr. Weldon has reviewed x-rays and exam findings in detail to ensure that I understand each step of the treatment plan. Highly recommended.

We have been patients at Rix Dentistry for the last 4 years since moving to Rome. I have 3 children who are all seen by Dr.Weldon. We love her and could not ask for a more patient and thoughtful dentist. She takes the time to make sure my kids know what she's doing at their level of understanding. We could not be any happier with the care we have received! All three kids cavity free this visit

I was already apprehensive in going all the way to Rome, and even more so after I read the reviews about rix. She is pretty much what they say she is. She has a tone that sounds nice while saying some pretty awful things to you. Condescending at best. She is not very breastfeeding friendly. She's one of those that will tell you everything you've ever done wrong and make you think that natural term breastfeeding has ruined your kids teeth. And apparently moved their jawline? Sorry but my husband and I both have overbites and neither were breastfed. Just because she's almost 3 and we just stopped doesn't mean it's caused anything. We literally went to 3 different dentists for a problem I saw when she was a year old. She refused to let us brush her teeth. A pediatrician told me it was fine if she just chewed on the toothbrush. It got worse(yes we were brushing regularly by then).. Then it was hard to find a dentist who took kids so little. Found one and he ignored me completely and said her teeth were fine. The 2 I was worried about got worse and I finally found one who listened to me. They saw what I saw and referred me to rix. So I drove all the way there, got scolded for giving my daughter the nutrition she deserved. And they don't sedate 3 year Olds so I was referred somewhere else. Thank God because we wouldn't have went back. She needs a lesson on "beside manners"

I took my child to see Dr Rix and was told she had a cavity and wanted to cap her tooth. After watching the torched of her getting it done we came back again and was told she had to get another one. I refused and changed dentist and not one time have I been told she has cavities. Dr Rix is a joke and money hungry. I would not recommend anyone to this office. There are better children's dentist in Rome.
