Dr. Peter Rivoli has been practicing in Rochester, NY, since 1989. He is committed to helping patients improve their bite and straighten their teeth, and his passion for orthodontics makes him an industry leader.
Dr. Rivoli earned a B.A. in Pre-Dental from Ohio Wesleyan University. He completed his Masters Research from SUNY Buffalo Department of Oral Medicine. He attended the School of Dental Medicine from SUNY Buffalo, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He went on to attend the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester, where he earned his Certificate of Orthodontics.
Before joining his fathers practice, Dr. Rivoli worked as a general dentist in Buffalo, NY. He is dedicated to setting quality industry standards, and has completed continued learning through Peter Dawsons Center for Advanced Dental Study and Mark Pipers Advanced TMD Training. He has served as the past president of the Monroe County Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Dr. Rivoli also co-owns a wooden boat restoration business. He resides in Spencerport, NY, with his wife and three children. His special interests include traveling, boating, skiing, fishing, and relaxing with his family.

If I could give a zero I would. I had braces for 7 years and would continually get told they would come off. I'm embarrassed about my smile. They failed to read a recent X-ray and communicated that they were making space for a tooth (on my left side) that was removed a year prior. While they told us about this tooth they wanted to grow in and why they were making space, we told them that it was removed and asked if they looked at the X-ray. They found the X-ray and then made an excuse that it was also going to adjust my alignment which was the main purpose to begin with. Lies and mistakes. I needed space on my right side, NOT my left. The center of my two front teeth are now at my the right side of my mouth and an adult tooth cannot fully grown in on the right because they pushed my teeth in the wrong direction. That tooth is now stuck, retainer did/does nothing. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Wish I could get my money back. I liked my smile 100% better before the braces. If you didn't believe me take a look at these pictures. After 7 years of braces AND wearing a retainer- I still cried plenty of times about my smile. The second photo is what my smile looks like from the side.

The worst! They were more focused on removing my braces more than actually straightening my teeth. They are not friendly, I honestly feel like I was treated differently due to the color of my skin. I waisted my time here ! My teeth are not straight..

We had to remove my son's braces so that he could have routine MRI's after being diagnosed and treated for brain cancer. Dr. Rivoli not only came up with a great new plan to complete my son's ortho without metal (future MRI's), he offered to complete it at no charge to us. Dr. Rivoli and his staff are not only professional and skilled, they are also very compassionate and generous! Thank you, Dr. Rivoli!

This office cancelled my appointment 2 days prior that I booked over a month ago. I was really excited for my consultation and this is a horrible first impression. Thanks, I'll be taking my business and my family elsewhere. What's the point of making an appointment?

I absolutely love Dr. Peter Rivoli and his staff! All 3 of my children have had braces and Dr. Rivoli took care of them all! I would definitely recommend him and his office to my friends and family. Both my daughters went to Rivoli & Rivoli for orthodontics: --The staff is knowledgeable and efficient. --They really try to schedule appointments as best they can around the school day hours (not disruptive to the student's academics.) --Sometimes the wait time in the office goes long--but that only happens once in a while. --My daughter's last appointment seemed like a waste. She is having some final "tweaking" done, but all they did was check her retainer and told her to come back in 6 months.

Accommodating to our changing needs and schedule. My son always enjoys going to the ortho (I know, crazy, right? lol). He says the office atmosphere is professional yet relaxing.
