Dr. T. James Dix, Dr. Allen D. Bernstein and the members of our team are dedicated to serving our community with advanced treatments and comprehensive education. We believe that professional dentistry should not just enhance your smile, it should also improve your overall well-being. Recent studies have shown an intrinsic relationship between your oral, bodily, and mental health.
In his free time, you will likely find him outside. He enjoys backpacking and exploring National Parks, or competing in local half marathons. He also likes to spend his free time completing woodworking projects, like furniture-making and carving. He selected the name Riverwind Dental as a tribute to his personal and family connection to the Rappahannock River. He spent every boyhood summer along the River, and still devotes many of his weekends to oyster gardening. He and his family have improved the quality of the Chesapeake Bay by raising 25,000 oysters over the past 7 years.
He and his wife Connie have two children, six grandchildren, and a dog named Brubeck. In addition to his passion for dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and being at the beach. On his days off, he can be found riding his bike along the Capital Trail and other scenic areas that Richmond has to offer.
