Our focus on the Whole Health Smile is a term describing our process to keep you out of the chair as much as we can! We treat and educate every patient in a manner that should only have them returning for routine examinations and low cost maintenance.
Dr. Tyson was born in Washington and raised here in Idaho Falls. While attending Hillcrest High School Go Knights!!--- He, unknowingly to him, met his future wife, who was going to Idaho Falls High School obligatory Go Tigers!! --- After High School, Dr Tyson had the amazing opportunity to live in the beautiful country of Venezuela for two years. Because of this, Dr. Tyson is fluent in Spanish and mastered his dads jokes.
After returning to his hometown, he married his highschool sweetheart, Rachelle Woolstenhlme, and off to college they went. He graduated from ISU where he not only earned his zoology degree, but also served on the student council as the activities director. This must be where he learned to be the witty doctor we know him as. After ISU, he packed up his family and moved to Pittsburgh where he attended the University of dental medicine and earned his DMD. He has received training in oral surgery, prosthodontics, pediatrics, endodontics and special needs sedation dentistry. During dental school, Dr. Tyson served in numerous community outreach programs at public health clinics and participated in the annual give kids a smile day at his school. He was an active member of the Spanish dental club at his school.
After Graduating from dental school, Dr. Tyson wanted to move back to his hometown and work side by side with his dad Dr. Murdock. He absolutely loved having his dad as his mentor for 10 years. Dr. Tyson is passionate about dentistry and quality care for his patients. He works with mountain view hospital to help the special needs of the community and young kids to achieve dental work through sedation. Dr. Tyson is always seeking to increase his knowledge by staying current on dental topics, procedures and equipment through continuing education. He has completed extra training in Clear aligner therapy through clear correct, Cerec crowns and veneers, Implant placement for teeth and denture stability.
Dr. Tyson's family consists of his beautiful wife Rachelle and their two children. He spends many hours listening to his son play the drums or piano, or watching his daughter tumble on the gymnastics mat. He loves to help his wife with her passion of crafting and can often be found out in the shop doing woodworking for her. If not found in those locations, you can be sure hes out on the golf course, usually the one yelling at the ball thats going in the wrong direction!
He graduated from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, where he was recognized with honors for his exceptional endodontic, clinical, leadership and merit skills. He also earned a certificate of public health with a dental emphasis.
During his time in school, he completed five external rotations at community health centers across the nation where he gained extensive hands-on training in the field of dentistry. Out of school he joined a private practice in Salt Lake City and then Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Jankowski has completed extensive continued education in cosmetic dentistry; root canal therapy; implantology; sleep and airway management; and clear aligner orthodontic treatment. He is also Invisalign certified.
Prior to dental school, Dr. Jankowski earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minors in Chemistry, Zoology and Professional Sales from Weber State University. He also competed as a two-sport Division I athlete.
Dr. Joshua Reid Bell is a local Idaho Falls man through and through. He loves to snowboard, play soccer and volleyball and enjoys hiking in the wonderful Southeast Idaho region. Dr. Reid is the youngest of six kids and now has six of his own kids from his marriage to the most beautiful redhead in the world. He continues to snowboard with his family. He and his wife are very active and play in the volleyball coed league at Apple Athletic and coed soccer through the Idaho Falls YMCA.
Dr. Reid dedicates his whole self to his schooling, career and hobbies. Hes even been featured on an episode of the TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition for finish carpentry! Dr. Reid graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1997 and went to Idaho State University on a full ride academic scholarship. He attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and earned his DMD, or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. Dr. Reid started dental school with one kid and finished with number four on the way.
He states the best part of his job is the people he gets to meet. Just in Southeast Idaho, hes met a Hollywood movie stuntmen, managers of giant Vegas casinos, search and rescue scuba divers and so many more.

EDIT: They responded to this review saying they would reach out, but they did not. However, they have reached out 4 TIMES asking me if I wanted to schedule more services with them. I have never seen such hard sales from a dentists office. This place is financially predatory. They were able to quote me within minutes what the price for a dental implant was, but they did not tell my husband the cost of a sealant. They just told him "We can do it right now". Then I got to the front and I'm slapped with a $400 bill due today. Never once did they tell my husband how much it would cost, in fact, they had him sign approving the cost AFTER they did the treatment and they already had me pay for it. I've been to a lot of dentists and I have never had a dentist purposefully not tell me costs until I had to pay right on the spot. That's shady and inappropriate when they clearly were able to pull the cost for a procedure for me and I was able to say no.

I have been to many dentists in my life and as a patient it's easy to see when a dentist and their support staff care about their patient and quality of work. I was truly amazed at the level of care and concern I received from Riverwest, from the check in process to the end of my treatment, it exceeded all expectations. I cannot say enough good things about this office, I have been seen here for over a year and thought the office was good but this last week I went in to get some dental work done and I will be the first to say that I dread going to the dentist, I have a very sensitive mouth/teeth and it makes me more than anxious.. flat out I just have horrible teeth BUT Dr. Tyson, Tiffany and Chris made this experience exceptional. I was seen Wednesday and had quite a bit done and was feeling extreme pain through the following few days. I started to get really worried, they got ahold of me on a Sunday and had me in for an emergency visit to get the dreaded root canal. Even though Dr. Tyson and Tiffany had to come in on a Sunday they were so kind and caring and really made sure I was comfortable despite being anxious and in a lot of pain. The office and Dr. Tyson followed up with me the next day and have kept in touch since then and made me feel really taken care of even though I am sure I was a very high maintenance patient. I cannot say thank you enough to Dr. Tyson, Tiffany and Chris I appreciate you and your office!!

The dentists are great! But unfortunately their billing and office staff makes it very frustrating to stay a patient there. The billing department needs some help. And don't expect them to use your credit towards services when you overpay, they mysteriously don't see the credit and keep charging you. Then when you question it they say it goes towards next appointment. Also, if you've exhausted your benefits for the year they like to be judgemental every appointment afterwards like you can't afford to pay. Sadly their billing has ruined the experience there.

First time I have been here and there are patients in the waiting room and the receptionist calls our insurance company the verify that our insurances are active and we are good to go, she is provided our social security numbers out loudly along with our birthdays. Not very impressed and will change my decision on coming here in the near future. Very unprofessional as identification can be stolen. No patience privacy what so ever. Worse check in process ever.

Visited the office this morning for a cleaning. I was apprehensive about going due to the virus and the fact that I have a once month old at home. I assumed that they would be strictly following the masking rules and that it would be safe. Upon walking in I noticed that no one was wearing a mask. I thought they would put them on once I was getting checking in, however that was wrong. No one in the front wore a mask. This was concerning to me. I am an ICU nurse and have personally seen the devastating effects of COVID. Not only have I been treating these sick patients, but I watched my grandmother die from the virus just one month ago. I was shocked that I couldn't even feel safe going to get my teeth cleaned. So disappointing that this medical office doesn't follow the basic guidelines to keep us safe. My family and I will not be going there again.

Dr. Reid and his team are excellent. Dr. Reid always shoot me straight. They have seen us at the very last minute as well. His team is so caring and personable. I love that they have two locations the other one being over off of Channing at Foothills across from Dixie's.

I got 4 crowns and 1 vernier done by Dr. Jankowski and they turned out amazing! I previously had 4 root canals done from getting hit with a softball. I wanted caps to fix any discoloration from the tooth decay as well as I ground my adult teeth as a kid. Dr. Jankowski was able to get me my ideal smile and I couldn't be happier! Their prices were amazing as well. I will be forever grateful to RiverWest for their amazing staff, service, and hospitality.

I went in to get veneers on my front teeth, Dr. J and his team are absolutely AMAZING!!! They went above and beyond to make sure and answer all of my questions, I was really nervous going in, they were so patient and kind! My smile look 100000x better, this has been such a life changer for me, they look so perfect and natural!! Thank you Dr. J and team, I will be a patient for life!! I wish I could post before and after pictures on here!!
