Like his father and grandfather before him, Dr. David Perpall was drawn to helping people through a career in dentistry. Born and raised in the metro Atlanta area, Dr. Perpall attended high school in Norcross before receiving his bachelors degree from UNC-Charlotte. After graduation, Dr. Perpall began a career in dental supply & equipment sales with Atlanta Dental Supply. It was through his experiences observing the many different facets and specialties of dentistry that Dr. Perpall decided he would return to school to obtain his degree in dentistry.
Dr. Perpall earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Georgia Regents University, College of Dental Medicine, now Augusta University, Dental College of Georgia. He continued his education earning a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta, GA. This was an optional year of training in more complex dental procedures such as dental implants, surgical extractions, root canal therapy, periodontal surgeries, and medically complex patient care.
Philanthropy has been a big part of Dr. Perpalls life and career, as well. He volunteered his time and services to Help A Child Smile, a mobile dental clinic that treats children gaining thorough pediatric dental experience. He has also been on mission trips to Trinidad and Peru to help those who would otherwise have no access to dental care. Dr. Perpall is an active participant in volunteer organizations such as Dentistry from the Heart, Hope Dental Clinic, Georgia Mission of Mercy (G-MOM), a project of the GDA and Christ Community Health Services Dental Mission Downtown (DMD) Project.
