Jen graduated from the University of New England in 1998 and has been working as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 20 years. Jen came to our practice right out of school and has been with us ever since!
Pauline is a graduate of UNE and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 34 years. She is also licensed for local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration. She has spent the last 20 years with our practice.
When shes not with us, she is on the move: biking, hiking, downhill skiing, or scuba diving. Pauline has also combined her love of travel with her commitment to helping others on numerous dental humanitarian missions including Guatemala, Jamaica, Peru, Cambodia, Vietnam, and New Orleans. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and fine dining.
Abby graduated from UMA Bangor in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and has transitioned from being a patient of the practice to joining our team. Abigail has been with our practice for over 3 years. She is also licensed to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
Abby took part in a humanitarian mission trip to the Dominican Republic and hopes to go on many more. As an outdoor enthusiast, she likes to run, hike, and go camping. She also loves to spoil her adorable cat, Lola!
Jake graduated from the University of New England in 2016 with a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene and is also licensed to administer local anesthesia. After graduation, Jake gained experience temping at various dental offices in Maine. He accepted a full time position with us because we possessed all of the things he was looking for in a dental office. When Jake is not working, you can find him hiking and camping in the summer, and on the slopes snowboarding in the winter. You can consider him a sports fanatic, as he loves all sports and plays basketball as often as he can.
Deanna is a Dental Hygienist who graduated from the University of New England and has been here at Riverview Dental since 2005. She took a couple years off to stay at home with her 2 young girls, but is now back with a smile every morning.
Shae has been a dental assistant for 25 years, is radiology certified and also received her EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) certification in 2018. She has been a part of our team for over 12 years assisting Dr. Bernardy.
Leigh started in the dental field as a receptionist for seven years. She later became a dental assistant before taking time off to open a childcare center. Now that her kids are grown, she has returned to dentistry as an assistant and lab technician. She is radiology certified and eager to help wherever she is needed. Leigh has also utilized her skills on dental missions to New Orleans, Jamaica, and Peru.
Amanda, a graduate from Lewiston High School, decided immediately that dentistry was her career path. She started as a dental assistant at age 18 with her certification in radiology. By 22, she became one of the first EFDA's (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) in the state of Maine. Amanda enjoys her career and creating healthy, beautiful smiles for her patients.
Lori has an associate degree in paralegal sciences. She has worked as a medical assistant in the past and has decided to change careers to the dental field. Lori has completed on line training for Dental Assisting and is working hard to put her newly acquired skills to use. She is studying for her dental radiography exam and hopes to complete this in the very near future.
Patty has worked in all aspects of the dental field since 1975. She has been employed as an assistant and receptionist for general and orthodontic practices, and more recently as office manager for an oral surgeon. She comes to us with a wealth of experience. Patty helps facilitate financials with patients and answers any questions regarding insurance claims and billing.
