Dr. Kohli chose pediatric dentistry because she loves children and enjoys working with them. She finds it extremely rewarding to teach children how to develop great dental habits that will see them through their lifetime.
Dr. Kohli was in full-time academics from 1996 to 2007 at West Virginia University and Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She was Program Director of the Residency Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital from 2002 to 2007.
She has published several articles in dental journals such as Pediatric Dentistry, Journal of Dentistry for the Child, Journal of Dental Research, and New York State Dental Journal. She serves on the Editorial Board for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's journal, Pediatric Dentistry.
She has lectured at dental conferences and meetings including the annual meetings of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the International Association of Dental Research and at state meetings in West Virginia, New York County Dental Society and area New York City hospitals.
Dr. Kohli was a preceptor for the Oral Health Initiative for Pediatricians, Residents and Nurses as on-site trainer at facilities in El Paso, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, and for the Seminole Tribe, Hollywood, FL.
She was an invited lecturer for the Pediatric Preventive Oral Health Project at the West Virginia University Institute for Health Policy Research, and provided on-site training to staff at several sites.
A resident of Dobbs Ferry since 2002, her interests include traveling, gardening, cooking, music, cultural shows. She likes exploring and enjoying the offerings of the local neighborhoods of Dobbs Ferry and Westchester County.
Our unique office design is a tribute to Dr. Kohli 's dad, Captain Ravi Kohli, who was a commercial air pilot for Air India for 30 years. One of the planes he flew, Megh Malhaar, which translates to 'music made by the clouds in the monsoon season,' is the backdrop of one of the patient rooms. In others, the vinyl backdrops depict the routes that Captain Kohli flew and images of the Captain in the cockpit.
We do not participate in any dental insurance plan because we feel the treatment required for your child should be not based on what an insurance provider will cover, but on what is needed. As a courtesy, we will be happy to give you the necessary completed insurance forms for you to submit to your insurance company for services provided by our office, or we can electronically submit them for you.
It is our policy to encourage parents to accompany their children if the parent so desires. We feel that children tend to be more reassured and comfortable in a new environment if the parent is present in the room with them, at least in the beginning.

Dr. Kohli is a dream come true. My son has Autism and anxiety. He has not had success with dentists in the past. I would have to restrain him, which killed me. Then i found Dr. Kohli and my son loves her. He now sits in the chair, without any restraints - and just today when he was done blurted out loud: "I love Dr. Kohli". I wish I could give her and the staff more than 5 stars.

Everyone was so nice to my son! Dr Kohli was fast and efficient and explained everything to me! My son did so well thanks to their team! He also got a big inflatable airplane!! We will definitely see her in 6 months! This is something I was dreading but I was so surprised on how well he did and how well the whole visit went!!! Thanks so much

They do a great job of introducing each tool to kids going to the dentist for the first or second time. They explain and show everything. Not to mention they distract them with Disney movies playing in the exam room. It made the visit quick and easy. At the end she got a cute monkey and a bag with toothpaste and a tigger toothbrush that she loves. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.

We have been taking our 2 children to Dr. Kohli since they were 6 and 4 respectively and now they are 17 and 19. We first switched to her when my oldest had a surprise dental issue of 5 cavities and needing a crown under the watch of another pediatric dentist. Dr. Kohli handled the matter with perfection. She is a warm, caring and supportive professional - one of the best in her field. Since then we have never had another dental issue again. She took care of them so well and they always looked forward to our trips to her office (a 1 hour drive each way). We are grateful to have Dr. Kohli as my children's dentist and it is a true pleasure to give her our highest recommendation (from the whole family)!

19 years and counting... always a wonderful experience with the team at Rivertowns Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Kohli has a compassion for her patients that stays with you time and time again. Her staff goes out of tiger way to make the "littles" so comfortable. We love them!!
