Dr Akkari is not only a Riverside Dentist but also a Riverside resident. Prior to residing in Riverside, Dr. Akkari resided in Pasadena, California where he attended CSULA for his Bachelors degree and graduated with honors. Dr Akkari has been practicing dentistry in the Riverside area for the last 8 years. In his free time, he enjoys working out, skiing, and playing the guitar.
Rita has been in the dental field for over 14 years. She is knowledgeable with insurances as well as dental procedures. Rita cares greatly for our patients and embraces them as her own family and friends. She looks out for our patients where she maximizes their benefits and tries to offer the best treatment possible. Rita enjoys building a friendly relationship with our patients to put them at ease and feel right at home in our office.
Angel has also been in the dental field for over 12 years. He is very skillful, but most important he is very kind, friendly, and welcoming. With Angel, you will feel that you already have a friend here at our office who is looking out for you and who will try to put a smile on your face every time you are here.
Jazmine is very enthusiastic and eager to help you in anyway possible, from helping you with paper work to explainging procedures. She is part of our friendly helpful dental family that has your best interest and well being at heart.

The manager Rita keeps the place a well oiled machine and she has THE friendliest personality! The doctor is very professional and got very smooth hands, he owes me few pinches because he would tell me when he was working on me that I might feel a little pinch but then I never do, smooth operator!!

Dr. Akkari is always honest and caring. I had some trouble with anxiety and he was so patient. The entire staff, especially Rita, are so friendly. Dental work is expensive, but I have found his pricing is competitive with stellar work.

Oh My Goodness these guys amazing!!! Have been with Dr.Akkari for a few years now and I honestly feel and hope I will never have to find another dentist ever. He has performed a few procedure's and everytime it's painless, quick, perfect work, and he has an amazing personality who keeps you laughing throughout your visit... Dr.Akkari, Rita, and the team are always pleasant and the office always has a comforting vibe. Believe me I commute from Apple Valley CA to their Riverside office even though I know I will be stuck in traffic for hours... That's how happy and blessed to have found them. Thank you Guys

Dr. Akkari and his staff are amazing! He is the most gentle dentist that I have ever been to. I had to get a crown and had several cavities filled so I have been there a lot. They are my go to and will be from now on! Choose them you will not regret it!

The best dentist I've ever been too I called around all morning in pain, calling dentist after dentist mind you I was on the phone with western when riverside smiles calls me back (immediately hung up on western) and they were the only ones who returned my phone call anyways I was able to get a same day appointment and an a tooth extractions when I tell you I felt nothing I mean I felt nothing I was so thankful for them and the lady's up up front we're so nice and helpful I would highly recommend this spot to anyone .

I've been a long time patient of this dental office and in the past have always had good experiences with them. Most recently, I had to make an appointment for discomfort I was feeling which I thought was due to a crown I got some time ago. While I was trying to describe what I was feeling to the nurse (big girl with blonde highlights)who took the first x-rays I noticed she had a nasty little attitude/ tone. She asked about a referral for a root canal associated with the crown to which I responded letting her know that any work done or not done would have been based on whatever they themselves had instructed me to do, to which she responded with "not me I never did any of it." Very obviously I wasn't referring to her specifically, but to the dental office as a whole. To top if off, after explaining the discomfort was bearable mostly but turned to pain at times the nurse pushed the apparatus used for the x-rays into my mouth as if I hadn't finished explaining how I felt. Thankfully, that nurse only took the x-rays as Dr. Akkari came in with a different nurse who had to retake the x-rays and she did so with a smaller apparatus than the first nurse. Dr. Akkari was kind and courteous as always and the nurse was gentle and made sure I didn't feel anymore discomfort than necessary. When I was finally done, I went to the front desk to make my next appointment and not much else was said to me by the receptionists. Nothing said about whether I owed, if I had questions not even a "you're all set , have a nice day." I know we all have good days and bad days, especially in a time where we're dealing with the stress and other distress this pandemic is causing on us mentally and emotionally but it's important to remember why we chose the professions we have. I don't expect to receive full on customer service from staff at any medical facility but a little compassion and kindness goes a long way. As patients, when we come in with a problem attitude or apathy are the last thing we want to receive from the staff. In the end, I ended up turning to a different dentist as The discomfort ended up turning into excruciating pain after the visit. I was able to get my issue resolved and as it turns out the pain was actually due to a wisdom tooth coming in on the same row as the crown. While Dr. Akkari and his previous staff were always amazing and his current staff's actions are in no way a reflection of Dr. Akkari's service, sadly I have now switched to a new provider.

Been getting work did for about 4 years. until one job hand me unhappy. That changed the vibe of the whole building. I asked for the job to be redone. Dentist said "what do you know you're not a dentist, you lost faith. I will refund you your money and don't come back". The only painful part about that day, was the steps to removing the haft finished implant. All this for one tooth implant, and it was just the beginning processes. All this went down with tools and fingers in my mouth lol Final thoughts this place does not take constructive criticism well at all, the guy lost it. one other thing, one of the dentist assistants there (she) is rude and disrespectful. So I started to look online for an office near me with great reviews and I ran into Riverside Smiles Dentistry. I was able to schedule my appointment so easily over the phone and when I went in the staff was so nice! Dr. Akkari and his team is gentle, welcoming, and kind.
