We take great pride in the office mission of preventing disease and showing each patient how to keep their teeth for a lifetime. You know these commercials on tv advertising dental implants.... You see so many ,..you really don't know the good from the bad. Well ,..let me enlighten you on the good. A little over a year ago , I decided the time was right to have all new teeth made on implants. I met Dr. Micheal Spencer at Riverside Dental. You know,..The man in the commercial!.... He sat down with me himself for approximately 45 minutes explaining my options. Now before going to Doc. Spencer,..I had gone to one of the other places advertising teeth on implants. I think the Dentist might have spoken with me maybe 10 minutes. I was not impressed... but from the time I walked into Riverside Dental , I received professional attention from everyone. You're treated like you matter....you know that Dr. Spencer and his staff aims to please. The attention to detail is the order of the day,..everyday. Dr. Spencer strives to make sure you are pleased with every step of the process and he's never in a rush. He takes as much as it takes to make you happy. I regularly get comments on how natural my new teeth look! They do look great !....And,..I can eat anything I want again!. I never write reviews like this, but Dr. Spencer and all his staff are very deserving! So, if you're tired of hiding your broken and missing teeth and you want to be able to really smile again...go see the man in the commercial that's the real deal ! Thank you Dr. Spencer and Staff.

I went for the "free exam & x-ray" offer. The office was nice & clean, the staff was really pleasant but it was downhill after that. The first dentist suggested a crown, I agreed, but was surprised she never took an impression of the tooth to be crowned. She told me the lab had 3D imaging, but it was not used. The temporary crown was too short. That dentist offered to adjust my natural teeth to make the temporary crown fit. I did not go back to her, but tried Dr. Spencer. He glued in a terrible crown, and didn't have to. The crown was so long that it pressed on my other teeth for weeks. The color didn't match at all. That crown was also too tall. He did not adjust the crown to make it fit my mouth, instead he just kept adjusting my own custom dental appliance trying to make my mouth fit the crown. He ruined that and the new crown still hurt! I went back for another adjustment.. pointless. Riverside Dental did not make a crown that fit. They ruined my custom, expensive removable dental plate. I wasted $1500 on the crown and have spent many hours and over $1600 to replace the damaged appliance. Six months later, the crowned tooth is still a problem. Please don't make my mistake.

As a self admitted white knuckle dental patient I was anything but happy to make an appointment to have a tooth removed. (Insert tummy flips here.) I had seen the ads for Riverside dental and made my appointment. I knew I needed more than just the tooth removed and braced myself not only for pain in my mouth but for a high pressure sales pitch. When I walked in I not only did Alexis greet me like we were old friends she introduced herself as well. I could feel my shoulders relax a tiny bit. Still skeptical, I sat down for what I expected to be the usual hour wait at the dentist office. I scarcely had time to wipe the sweat off of my hands until I was called back. Rachel was extremely sweet with me and and told me they were going to make sure to take good care of me. Okay, shoulders relaxed another quarter inch. Then the big moment - Dr. Moshea walked in. My heart started beating faster and the sweat was back in my palms. I showed Dr. Moshea the offending tooth and told her I just needed it removed. A bit of small talk and no sales pitch! Was I really in a dental office? I'm fully aware that I am in need of extensive dental work. I've been given treatment plans along with warnings of how precarious the state of my teeth are so I was READY for the full court press. I spoke with the Dr. about options for treatment. And she proceeded to deaden the area where the offending tooth was. No pain! Some pressure, and not much of that and she said she was done. I honestly was not even aware she had pulled the tooth! Rachel went over treatment options and gave me all of the plans in a folder so I could look them over later. When I checked out I knew this was the moment of truth. The attempt to schedule my next appointment to start the treatment plan. It never came. Not a single bit of pressure! Just an invitation to call if I had any questions at all. My shoulders were now fully relaxed. I left with the treatment plan and a refer a friend voucher for $50. Fast forward 5 days. My 74 year old mom took a face first spill and hit her mouth on the edge of the sink in her bathroom. Her teeth were pushed all out of place and she was bleeding profusely. I was panicked and was unsure of what to do or who to call. I call Riverside dental and told them what had happened. They explained that due to the current pandemic they were only seeing emergency patients. My heart fell. Then they asked if I could have her there in an hour. Dr. Spencer was an angel with my mom. He very gently examined her and removed 4 teeth and broken bone as well. The very next day Dr. Spencer had mom's temporary partial ready! The very next day! He carefully fit it and made adjustment until it caused no pain to her. She could not be more pleased! They took my fear and turned that into relief and even joy when I saw how happy mom is! Riverside dental is what every dental office should strive to be. Even in the midst of uncertainty and mild mayhem they have made me and my mom feel like we were the only patient and that there was no one more important. This extends to all of the employees we had the true pleasure of meeting. I'm so sorry I can't recall everyone's names. If I could recall them I would name each of you as angels. You've shown yourselves to be gentle, kind and caring souls. We are proud to have you as our family dental office.

I've been a patient for a few years now and Riverside Dental is absolutely the BEST. You couldn't pay me to go else where. The office is very clean and the staff is wonderful. I don't know what goes on behind closed doors but looking in everyone seems to love their job. Dr. Moesha takes great care of me and always makes me feel comfortable. I highly recommend this practice. You won't regret it.

My experience with Dr. Spencer and his staff started out quite positive...I had to have extensive work done and spent approximately $6,000. Then my upper bridge started giving me problems and a new bridge was made. It, too, didn't fit properly, so more adjustments were made. And more money was spent. Then I developed a very bad abscess and Dr. Spencer said I needed a root canal...another $1,000 was the estimate. But here's the clincher. When I had called the night before, I told Dr. Spencer that I didn't have the money to come in and have them do something about the abscess and he said "That's not important, don't worry about it." But when I got ready to leave after he lanced the abscess, the woman at the front desk informed me that I owed $102.00. I explained that Dr. Spencer said not to worry about it, which I took to mean I could pay it later. She begrudgingly let me leave but not until she loudly reminded me that I owed them money, thoroughly embarrassing me in front of the other people in the waiting room. Three days later, after I was paid, I brought the cash to the office. I was on my lunch break and had to leave before my receipt was prepared so I asked to have it mailed to me. After 10 days I called and asked about it and was told they would send it again. Instead I received a past due notice! I called again and was told it was a mix up and they would straighten it out. Life got in the way and I couldn't get back to them for several weeks. Then I got a call from a collection agency telling me I now owed $132.00. And when I called the office I was told they couldn't do anything about it because the matter was out of their hands. I absolutely refused to pay it again and just blew it off. My bad. Two years later I developed a bad carie from the metal wire rubbing the enamel away and I went to ASAP Dentist and was told that it was very unusual and not recommended to make a bridge when there was only 2 teeth to anchor it. And it would only cost me another $2,900 to correct the problem. By then I was retired and living on a fixed income, so I would have to take out a loan to get the work done. Now other cavities have developed because of the wires rubbing and I'm about to spend even more money because of incompetent work. Yes, the office is nice and clean and everyone is chipper until you question something. And somebody in that office stole the $102.00 in cash I paid. I don't recommend their work. Sorry this post is so long. I thought long and hard about it and finally decided it was time to get it off my chest.

I have been going to this dentist for over five years and today they sent me a happy Birthday text. It was so unexpected. I told my husband " I need to write a review, I have never had an issue or bad experience with Riverside Dental" My kids don't go to this dentist but they love it too. Dr. Spencer and his staff are "the" best hands down dental place ever and I have been to many. Thanks for making my dental experience one that I will cherish for a lifetime!
