Dr. Patel is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She also gave my daughter false information regarding copayments, which we do not have. I have never been spoken to in such a disgraceful manner by anyone in a professional setting. She even hung up the phone on me as I apologized for my daughter not cancelling her appointment, and tried to explain that there is a lapse in our coverage due to having a new employer/ dental provider. In addition, she is careless and very rough when working on your teeth and has to be reminded to please be gentle. I gave one star since zero is not an option. I am disgusted by her behavior and will not return.

Office seems to have a consistent track record with unprofessionalism with patients, receptionist take aggressive approach to getting patients in office, while also constantly getting calls to reschedule booked appointments by receptionist See email to management below** Good Morning Riverside Dental office Management, My name is Naudia and I have been a patient of your office for about 2 years now. As a Healthcare Operations Manager myself, the events that transpired this morning speaking with Christine the front desk receptionist were extremely unacceptable and unprofessional. I was called twice in the month of June from the office to have my scheduled appointments rescheduled for reasons that were not provided to me and a third time this week to request to arrive at 8:45 am instead of the original time I requested of 9:30 am. This morning I called the office at 8:25 am to inform Christine the desk receptionist that I would initially not make that earlier time slot because of unforeseen delays with my childcare provider and had no one else available to watch my daughter. Christine became really aggressive and began ridiculing me stating that "they are going to think I did not do my job, people came in early to see you, and here and now you are canceling your appointment" and that I would be charged a cancellation/no-show charge. She also made a bizarre suggestion that I bring my 1 year old daughter to the appointment just to receive an X-ray and then come another time for cleaning. I want to note that for the 2 years that I have been seen at your office for dental services, I have never canceled or missed any scheduled appointments, and today having a legitimate reason concerning my childcare, your receptionist taking that approach was disheartening. Emergency occurrences happen to my patients as well and I would have never spoken to any of my patients the way Christine spoke with me this morning, as a result, My family members N**** M, J*** E, and I will not be scheduling any future appointments at your office and will have the new dentist office call to request for our records to be transferred. The owner is a crook!! I went there to get a teeth cleaning, I was told that I had to get a X-ray on my teeth which was already done on my first visit. She drilled my tooth that was already filled and charged me $25 for each tooth in which I had my insurance. In total she charged me $121 along with my insurance information. Worst dentist ever. I am finding somewhere else that provides quality service.

Worst dentist office ever! The owner is extremely rude and careless. The same goes for the staff, it's honestly such a shame. First off, when they call to schedule an appointment they don't disclose who they are on the phone which is awful phone etiquette. Second, they don't give you options of when you can come in. For example, I scheduled an appointment on a weekend because I work Monday-Friday. They called the day before to confirm (again without disclosing or greeting me on the phone lol). I had an COVID related emergency the day of. Which was a possible exposure to COVID by a family member, I had the courtesy of giving them a call to reschedule/cancel my appointment. The owner was extremely rude about it and didn't understand my situation which was awful. The owner proceeded to tell me I would have to pay a 50 dollar cancellation fee that is issued by my insurance which is a lie lol because I've dealt with other dentist offices and I have never been charged a fee for canceling an appointment. Anyway, during this exchange the owner proceeded to tell me "I just don't want to come in" and was speaking over me. I had to give the phone to the person who possibly gave me COVID and let her tell the owner that it's a serious situation, and by me canceling I'm keeping her and her staff safe. If you are looking for a dentist in the Yonkers area, stay clear of this one. Extremely rude staff and owner.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Patel for years. I recently had a family emergency (a family member that used to visit Dr. Patel, but no longer will), and had to reschedule with over 5 hours notice. The woman is sending me bills for $50. STEER CLEAR, business must not be doing well for her to come after loyal customers for "reschedule fee". Definitely look for other Dentists in the area, as she is the only dentist at "Riverside Dental". She does this frequently, as you can see from other reviews, STAY AWAY!!!!! Her dental skills are lackluster at best, it was always very painful visiting her. Now I go to a dentist at NYU and my teeth feel better, and it was a painless experience. She is unprofessional and clueless on how to run a business. My family and I are changing dentists, I recommend anyone that goes here do the same.

Friendly, professional, clean and thorough. My son had xrays and a cleaning and was pleased, no complaints from the teen. I had xrays and a cleaning. Very gentle and thorough.
