Dr. Gary Esoldi is board certified in New York and New Jersey and established Riverside Dental Health in 1992. In 1984, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and went on to graduate in 1989 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Esoldi also completed a post doctorate two-year program in implant surgery and prosthetic reconstruction at New York University School of Dental Medicine and has trained with widely known dental specialists in the field of implantology. He is a member of several prominent associations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantology, the Academy of Osseo integration, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, and the Academy of CAD/CAM Computerized Dentistry.
With a calm and friendly demeanor and a genuine commitment to his patients, Dr. Esoldi has great experience in performing challenging surgical and aesthetic procedures. Perhaps due to of his background in portrait artistry, he takes great pride in designing a beautiful smile and has been recognized with numerous awards including the Consumer Research Council's America's Top Dentist award as well as the United States Commerce Association- Best of Hackensack Award.
Dr Vele grew up in lake Hiawatha, NJ. He graduated Seton Hall University with a Degree in Computer Science. He attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 1994. Dr. Vele went on to further his dental career when he joined the United States Navy and was attached to the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.

Our staff is uniquely trained and highly skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our staff consists of team members with specialized training and multiple certifications, and each one of our team members has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Tara was fortunate to have been adopted and was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey before moving to Ridgewood. After working in the dental field for more than 10 years, Tara was so moved by the events of 9/11 that she enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and served in Kuwait, Iraq, Delaware, and California with honor and distinction.
Tara has become an invaluable member of the Riverside Dental team in both the clinical and front desk areas. She is dedicated and determined to help patients understand both the financial and clinical aspect of their treatment. She handles the daily operations of the practice and goes above and beyond what is expected to insure that every patient has a comfortable and positive experience.
Karen graduated from college with honors as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been at Riverside Dental Health since 2006. Her knowledge and expertise in managing patient dental care, her gentle touch and her friendly demeanor make her a true asset to the practice. She is an outstanding provider of various periodontal treatments for our patients. Karen truly enjoys helping others and is treasured by our patients. We are certain that she will make your experience remarkable.
Karen is a lifetime resident of Bergen County. She has one daughter, Amanda. In her spare time she loves to spend time with Amanda, her family, and her beautiful dog, Maddie. Her outside interests include spending time in the great outdoors hiking, golfing and swimming. She also loves going to concerts, travelling and cooking.
Monica is a registered dental hygienist who has completed her education at New York University College of Dentistry. She is licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York. By showing extraordinary compassion in patient care she was awarded the Colgate Oral Health Adviser STAR Award. Monica enjoys traveling, baking and scrapbooking. She resides in Bergen County with her husband and Meshu, her pet Yorkie. Monica has been with Riverside Dental Health since 2014. She is fluent in Polish.
Sheryll joined our practice part time as our hygienist. Her charming personality is palpable throughout the office. When she is not working with us, she is the hygienist at RSDM in the Special Care Treatment Center where she has been treating patients for 12 years. Her patients say that she has 'gentle hands', a 'kind nature' and that they feel 'extremely comfortable in the chair'.She has been at Riverside Dental Health since 2014. Sheryll is fluent in Tagalog.
Yelena was born and raised in the country of Belarus. After having graduated college abroad, she decided to come to America. She pursued the study of dental assisting and went on to obtain her X-ray license. She works hard to provide exceptional service and care to our patients and is instrumental in making the clinical area run smoothly. She is fluent in Russian.
Patricia is a NJ certified Dental Assistant with a NJ X-Ray license. A kind caring professional who enjoys her role with patients. Her dedication to the profession makes her an invaluable team member. Patricia is splits her time between the front desk, and clinical duties with the doctors since she started in 2016. Patricia graduated with a bachelors in from Montclair State in 2018.
Lena is a NJ certified Dental Assistant with a NJ X-Ray license. A warm smile and sweet demeanor is what calms nervous patients. She has over 20 years of experience in dentistry. Lena is fluent in Russian. Lena has been a team member since 2018. Lena is a devoted wife and mother.

As someone who has been deathly afraid of the dentist and haven't gone for over 10 years I must say that Riverside Dental Health made me want to go to the dentist regularly. The staff treated me so nicely and was very patient and informative which made me feel comfortable. I got a cleaning and the dental hygienist was so gentle and knew what she was doing because it didn't hurt at all. I also needed a few other things done to my teeth and I highly recommend Riverside Dental Health! I will be going back to get any future dental work done!

I was a new patient. They took me in with no appointment needed, got my tooth extracted with a follow up and cleaning scheduled at my convenience. The staff and doctors are the absolute best. Dr. Esoldi& staff is the best dental care I have ever experienced. Professional, courteous and friendly staff made me feel like family. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will!!!I needed alot of work done on my mouth over these past few months from teeth pulling, impressions, a lower partical made and a beautiful upper denture. Thank you Dr. Esoldi for your incrediable work which compliments you on your skills and professionalism. Caring beyond words. I have to just start by saying THANK YOU!! I had an emergency extraction done on a messed up root canal and couldn't find a specialist at all at 6pm and i was in extreme pain and swelling and I found Riverside. I called and right away I experienced professionalism and caring help. I believe Tara was her name at the front desk, she understood how in-need of help I was in and squeezed me right in within an hour! Great service, great work, professional, understanding , helpful... everything you want at a dentist office .... Thank you everyone at Riverside!!! Can't wait to get more work done finally I found a dentist I trust in to take care of me!

Excellent staff and exceptional patient care!! I was never a fan of visiting the dentist but Dr.Esoldi and his staff have not only made it tolerable but rather enjoyable!! I highly recommend Riverside Dental for all your dental needs!! They take remarkable precautions for Covid-19 to make you feel at ease. Every person that enters the office has their temperature screened and is asked to wear a mask. The staff is masked as well as wearing a face shield while providing patient services. I inquired and found out the staff is fully vaccinated and tested regularly also. You have to respect an office that not only complies with CDC and gov regulations/recommendations but goes above and beyond to help battle this pandemic!

2 weeks ago, I called Riverside Dental after suffering with some tenderness in my gums. I spoke with Tara and she got me in that night. Karen did the cleaning and Dr. Esoldi did the exam. To my chagrin there was a piece of tooth left from an old extraction. This remnant busted through my gum and was the source of the problem. Today, Dr. Esoldi removed the piece of tooth and the hygienist did my deep cleaning; I left there feeling numb but wonderfully delighted.
