Dr. Romick grew up in Southern Indiana and went to Indiana University where he received aBachelors degree in Biology. From there he headed East to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he earned his DMD degree. Following dental school, Dr. Romick was selected to participate in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Idaho State University where he learned advanced techniques in surgery and all aspects of general dentistry. After completing his residency, he began working in private practice in Idaho, while also working as an attending dentist at the Residency at Idaho State teaching new residents.
In 2003, Dr. Romick made the decision to leave his mountain home and return to the Mideast to be closer to family. He joined a private practice in Mt. Lookout in Cincinnati, Ohio and eventually bought Riverbend Dental where he has practiced since 2011.
During his time in Cincinnati,Dr. Romick has been an attending dentist at the University of Cincinnati Dental Residency from 2005 to 2010. He also wrote the curriculum and teaches the anesthesia and injection coursefor hygiene students at UCBlueAsh College.
Dr. Christine Mahon is committed to helping both adults and children through their anxiety in the dental chair. She believes it is important to treat thepatient as a whole, rather than just fixing teeth. Dr. Mahon makes it her goal to get to knoweach and every patient as an individual and developing a long-term, trusting relationship with them.
She believes in the importance of continuing her education and keeping up with the latest developments in dental research and technologyin order to provide patients with the most comprehensive, up-to-date care possible. Dr. Mahon has taken advanced training in Endodontics and Oral Implantology.
Dr. Mahon enjoys many activities outside of her dental practice, which includes working out, weight training and mostly just playing with her children. She resides in Lebanon with her husband, Reid and their two children,Jordan and Jaxon.

I am 67 and over the years I have been to many practices. I want to tell you how happy I am with Riversbend Dental. First my dental hygienist is so awesome, over the short time I have been a client, I feel that she and I click and feel she is like a friend. Today I had a crown put on and Dr Stephens was awesome. He took his time and explained everything. The hygienist were so caring too. I'm so happy with Riversbend Dental. The women that I dealt with entering and leaving were fantastic. Amazing level of care, compassion, and ability. I was able to get an appointment rather quick when I was in a lot of pain. My tooth was fixed the same day I saw the dentist. I was really nervous about going to the dentist, but am so thankful for Dr. Romick and his friendly, talented staff. I would highly recommend this office even if it's a far drive because it's worth the skilled care you will receive. Wish I could give it 6 stars instead of 5.

Dr. Mahon is a lifesaver. I hadn't been to the dentist in many years and the staff here was amazingly patient and welcoming. No rudeness or judgement on my dental history, just kindness and careful work. They squeezed me in for 2 root canals and a wisdom teeth removal and i couldn't have asked for a better process. Front desk and the gal that deals with checkout were amazing as well. Cannot wait to continue seeing them for the coming years.

I started going to this dentist office for a while now. My first few experiences were ok I suppose, but they aren't very friendly and they didn't make me feel comfortable. I recently went in to get fillings. A few minutes after numbing me they started drilling and I could still feel it to the point I was shaking and trying to get through the pain. I signaled to them it was too much and the dentist gave me another shot. I'm not sure if she was annoyed or just careless but a lot of the numbing medicine went down my throat. Through this whole process they were rough on my mouth. When I was about halfway home I felt super tired. I didn't think that the meds should make me tired, but when I got home I felt very sick to my stomach and tired. (Slept the rest of the day) Later I noticed that my bottom lip must have gotten pinched because it's now swollen. I'm also noticing that my bite is way off/uneven as well! I'll let a different dentist office fix it now. Needless to say, I'm not going back.

If I could rate 0 I would. I didn't even get a chance to make an appointment. The lady that answered the phone was extremely unpleasant the second she answered. I called THE NEW PATIENT number that they have displayed on the website. & she said they didn't see me in the system. Well duhh. I called the new patient number. She sounded like she didn't want to be answering phones and doing her job. Just because you don't like your job doesn't mean you take it out on your patients. She spoke to me like I was dumb, and asked "did you see if we are in network" all snobby like.... Yes why else would I be calling your office! I hope you guys can get nicer people in your office. Do better.

This place is shady! When doing my bridge I had to go back three times in one week, each time I was there for more than five hours! And then they kept adding to my bill and I've asked for a detailed bill that I have not received and then they send the bill to my boyfriend! Very shady and I think that breaks a lot of HIPAA rules! Will not be going back to this place

I felt as if I was not supposed to be there. I made an appointment over the phone. When I showed up no one greeted me once the woman got off the phone she asked me if I had an appointment which I did she claimed she didn't see it in a rude tone. She didn't offer to reschedule me.

Amazing staff! I have a major phobia of the dentist and this office really puts me at ease! They are gentle and slow, explain everything very clearly, and make sure I am okay often. The staff here is SO friendly and give you a genuine welcoming feeling. Highly recommend this dentistry!! Very clean pretty office as well. TVs to watch while getting cleaned also. The office is fabulous, and most are great! Dentists are really good, and friendly! Though....there is one particular dental hygienist to watch out for. Sorry, I'm not going to say her name, ...but, after the lady cleans your teeth, it feels like Mike Tyson just punched you in your mouth!!! I have had that same experience with her every time before. I always have to go home and take ibuprofen! You'll know if you get her!!!!!!

My husband and I were looking for a new dentist, and both got scheduled as new patients in July 2019. My husband made his follow up appointment for January 2020 in the summer, and I had to call to reschedule for him since something came up with our daughter. I called four days before the appointment and fully expected to not be able to reschedule until February or March. The next available time they had open was in August...and my husband can schedule an appointment as early as 2:30 in the afternoon. I know dentists book very far out, but that seemed a little extreme. On top of it, the scheduler seemed annoyed at me and generally grumpy. I was disappointed in this experience since I'll have to find another dentist to see us earlier. If you can actually get in, we were both very impressed with the hygienists and dentists!
