It is with mixed emotions that we are informing you of our retirement from the practice of dentistry. Due to the current health situation that took us all by surprise, we have not been able to slowly phase out the way we had anticipated. We would like to have said goodbye to each one of you personally, but COVID-19 made that impossible.
Dr. Eric is an experienced and excellent clinician. He brings with him years of private practice experience from his White Plains office. He was also a clinical assistant professor at NYU College of Dentistry, focusing on implant dentistry and comprehensive care. He has proven to be a tremendous asset to our patients and will continue to provide you with the highest quality of care that you have come to expect.
We are excited to be able to introduce Dr. Eric Poznyansky to you. Dr. Eric is a great addition to Riverdale Dental P.C., possessing the highest qualifications and bringing over 15 years of experience in private practice to our office. Dr. Eric, who is a 2004 graduate of New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, was an active faculty member at NYU College of Dentistry as well as a clinical assistant professor at NYU College of Dentistrys advanced Programs for International Dentists. These programs teach practicing dentists all over the world basic and advanced surgical and prosthodontic techniques of implant dentistry.
We anticipate extending our days and hours to better accommodate you and your friends whom you have so graciously referred to our office. I hope you will join us in welcoming Dr. Eric to our practice. We are confident that he will be a great benefit to all of our patients. Dr. Kotick graduated from SUNY at the Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1977. He completed a residency at Hackensack Medical Center in NJ. He has been performing implant surgery since 1983 and holds a fellowship degree in implantology. For the past 15 years he has been a full-time faculty member at the NYU College of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in the advanced program for comprehensive dentistry.
Dr. Kotick has been a member of the local first aid squad in Marlboro, New Jersey, as an EMT for the past 14 years. He is an active instructor for CPR training for the American Heart Association and has over 40 years of experience in private practice dentistry.
Dr. Amir Saadati earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. He went on to successfully complete his General Practice Residency at Woodhull Medical Center and later completed his advanced education specialty training in endodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. Throughout his career, Dr. Saadati has had an affinity for teaching and community involvement. He taught endodontics at NYU and participated in outreach programs to underprivileged communities.
Dr. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts/Doctor of Dental Surgery (BA/DDS) in a 7-year joint program at New York University College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she pursued her Certificate in Periodontology at Harvard school of Dental Medicine, where she also received her Master of Medical Science (MMSc) in oral biology. Dr. Kims research focused on quantitative analysis of volumetric change after two soft tissue grafting procedures and she presented at the Ivy Symposium on periodontal regeneration infrabony defects.
Dr. Kim enjoys traveling and exploring different foods and cultures, spending time with her friends and family, and playing sports such as basketball, soccer, softball and snowboarding. She also likes to give back to the community, participated in the Global Outreach in Grenada and served as the Director of Community Service in the NYU Aesthetic Society as a dental student.
Samar is a true believer that an individuals oral health and overall health are linked. She is passionate about helping her patients better understand oral hygiene and providing the tools necessary to take charge of their oral health, which will inherently help their overall health. She provides patient education to raise awareness about disease prevention and treatment. This philosophy and commitment to patient care is what drove her into the dental hygiene field. She enjoys meeting new people each day and listening to their needs, both as a person and as a patient. She loves putting the patient at ease by creating a comfortable environment where patients can relax and forget they are in the dental chair. She truly loves what she does for a living!
