Dr. Charlie Felts and his wife Emily met in 2008 while studying at UTC and married in 2015, a week before his residency training started in Memphis. The couple now has two young sons: Charles (the 5th) and Forrest.

I am passionate about our patients. The goal at Riverbend Oral Surgery is to provide a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere for our patients. It's important to take the time to listen to a patient's apprehensions and help in anyway to make their day a better day and ease there concerns. I am a patient advocate and enjoy helping patients navigate dental insurance policies or discuss other financial stressors. My goal is to maximize patient's insurance benefits and lower their out of pocket expenses. It's exciting to have the opportunity to be part of a new practice from inception and help naviagate the trials and tribulations of starting a new business. Our staff is dedicated to oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients and the greater Chattanooga community. I was born and raised in Shelton, Connecticut. I moved to Chattanooga 10 years ago to complete my education. My favorite past time is cooking for friends and family. If I'm not at work you can find me in my garden or lounging on the porch with my sweetie and our pup Otis. I also enjoy volunteering my time at Scenic City Recycling and take part in their mission of helping the earth without the hassle!
I love working with and getting to know new people every day, giving each a pleasant and personable experience in our office. Its rewarding to see a patient come in feeling unhappy about their oral health and leave with a healthy new smile!
I work in the clinic, setting-up rooms, seating patients, and preparing them for their procedures. Working chairside, I assist Dr. Felts as he cares for our patient and, when were finished, I offer post-op instructions and make sure our patient is pleased with what weve done.
Im a Chattanooga native and graduated from East Hamilton High School. My free time is spent with my Golden Retriever, Aspen: we like going to Greenway and to hike and swim. I also enjoy being on the lake, riding four-wheelers, and traveling especially if there is a beach!
I love getting to interact with patients, from initially meeting them and getting to know them through the process of the exam to being chairside during surgery. I love comforting patients and putting them at ease. I attended Chattanooga State and have been a Surgical Dental Assistant in Chattanooga for 24 years. I am very passionate about my job and love what I do!
I have a strong passion for helping others! It is truly a privilege to bring our patients top of the line care and put them at ease during their time here. As a native of Winchester, Tennessee I moved to Chattanooga to attend UTC and pursue a bachelor's degree in psychology. I fell in love with Chattanooga and grew roots in this beautiful city. After a long day in the office, I enjoy hiking the beautiful trails that surround us with my sweet dog, Harper. Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine and if you can't find me outdoors, I am likely making memories with my friends around a firepit enjoying music or spending time with my family, watching my nephews grow

I needed a molar removed and have a bone graft place in the area. Prior to surgery day all was explained by the staff and on surgery day all went better than expected. They gave me the deep sedation and I felt and remembered nothing which was fine by me. The follow up went perfect too! Great staff and Dr Felts was excellent

I had sedation to remove a tooth. Best part was that I don't remember anything. I felt no pain or did I have any swelling. It was the best tooth extraction experience I'd ever had. Dr. Felts and his staff are the best!

I recently had the remainder of my teeth pulled (19 total) with anesthesia sedation. It took about 45 min. to an hour. I had absolutely no pain, no swelling, no nausea. It went very well. It was a very positive experience. I highly recommend Dr. Felts and his staff. They are awesome!

I called Riverbend Oral Surgery on Thursday morning complaining about severe pain in my wisdom teeth. They were able to get me in for a consultation that day. I expected to have to wait for availability to schedule the surgery for removal. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I asked if there was any possibility of getting me in the next day. Dr. Felts made it happen and even called me on Saturday afternoon to see how I was healing and if there was anything he could answer or do for me. Great surgeon, responsive team, and little to no pain after treatment. Stop contemplating who to go to. Book an appointment with them and they will take care of you.

Went in to have my wisdom teeth removed. Whole process took less than an hour. The staff was kind and very professional. Sent me home with a list of foods/instructions and medicine to help me feel a better. My husband was able to have a nice cup of coffee while he waited in the waiting room. Waiting ro was very comfortable.

I could not have asked for a better experience having my wisdom teeth taken out! I love that they offer PRF for extractions. I had minimal swelling/pain and a very quick recovery time. I would highly recommend Dr. Felts and the team at Riverbend Oral Surgery!

The Doctor doesn't have time to listen to his patients. He does what he wants then says it looks good when 3 out of four things I came in for was either not done or was messed up. I wasted my money.

I have a major dental fobia. Had to have major wel done. I have never been to a more friendly. Comforting and professional place. My actual dentist was there too and he is just as comforting.

I just had my top left wisdom tooth pulled and it was the easiest experience ever. I've had Cavities filled that hurt way worse. I would definitely recommend these guys every part was seamless.

Sent as a referral on Monday from another dentist, received next day appointment due to insurance running out. Surgery Friday. The staff is awesome, I am what you call a hard stick, I normally come home with bruises from IV's, not this time! Smooth process, all questions answered & imagine my surprise the next day Dr. Felt himself called to check on me! Thank you!

I am terrified of three things. 1. The Dentist 2. Being put under for surgery 3. Losing control To say I was nervous about going to get a tooth extracted as well as a cyst biopsy would be an understatement. I was panicking as they brought me back and started to hook up the blood pressure monitor and put the oxygen around my nose. They put an IV in, had me put something in my mouth to help keep it open, took everything off and said that the surgery was finished. I did not remember going to sleep or waking up. All of my anxiety was for nothing. Dr. Felts as well as the entire staff were top notch and would recommend anyone with any dental issues go to Riverbend Oral Surgery.

Dr. Felts and team are kind, patience and AMAZING! My daughter made a bad mistake going to Aspen Dental on Friday May 28 (Memorial Weekend). It was a disaster. After several phone calls trying to find help, Dr. Felts worked her in at 2 so she didn't have to spend the weekend with an abscessed tooth and awful pain. Can't praise them enough and stay away for Aspen Dental at all cost.

I got 4 wisdom teeth out in the same day. Honestly it was when I woke up and realized I couldn't communicate that I started being a cry baby. It freaked me out that I couldnt talk. The staff & doctor were all very sweet and professional. Highly recommend

I am so thankful for Dr Felts and his team. I had three wisdom teeth out in my 40's and I was prepared to experience some pain, and be down for the count, recovering for a few days. When I got there, they hooked up my Iv, put in a little medicine, and next thing I knew, they were done! He must have done a really skilled job, because I'm having much less pain than I expected. These three hurt less that the one I had out in the dentist office when I was 18.

Dr. Felts and his staff were a class act. His staff treated me care and respect from the moment I walked in for exam to moment I was wheeled out after surgery. Dr. Felts was great and explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions and concerns. I will need possibly one more surgical procedure and some restorative work in the future and will absolutely return for Dr. Felts and his team. Thank you.
