I graduated from Helias High School then attended Mizzou where I graduated with honors (with a Fisheries and Wildlife/Pre-Dental degree!) I attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry where I received the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Although I could have practiced right after graduation, I decided to apply to the General Practice Residency Program at Truman Medical Center-Lakewood to expand my knowledge and skills. I believe it was this training that takes our services to the next level for our patients;I received extensive training in performing multidisciplinary comprehensive dental care to a varied patient base.
I practiced here in Jefferson City for 9 months prior to opening Riverbend Dentistry in April of 2014, providing family and advanced cosmetic dentistry. We jumped in with both feetcompleting a full remodel of the office, added two additional staff members, added additional office hours, and we havent looked back!
My wife, Kim, and I have a son and a daughter. We spend much of our time outdoors with our dog, Kona. I love to hunt, fish, camp, and float, which gave me inspiration for the name Riverbend Dentistry, while also honoring our great river city. We are members of St. Peter Parish and are involved in a number of other community activities. I thank you for welcoming me home and for letting me be your dentist. It was my first visit. I was very pleased how the Dr. & nurse explained everything they were going to do. All in all it was a great experience. The crown looks so good, I am very happy with the results.

I haven't had great experiences with Dentist until my daughter-in- law reccomended Riverbend Dentistry. All the employees I've had to deal with have been the best ever!! I had know idea it could be so good. They really do care & they actually listen until your both on the same page. I Highly recommend them to Anyone. My appt today went better than I could have planned it. I had several questions & they were kindly answered making sure I understood everything. A Big Shout Out to Riverbend Dentistry. Your Knowledge & Kindness Are Appreciated More than You Know!

Everything about our dental checkups was a positive. Cat and Cassie welcomed us and got our info updated. Sarah, the dental hygienist, was so thorough and gentle. Dr. Wes Is kind, professional, friendly, and so thorough. This was our first time in the new space. So calming and beautiful!!

Before starting at Riverbend Dentistry, I had never had a positive experience going to the dentist. Each appointment would be filled with dread and anxiety. Then I found Riverbend Dentistry. I no longer dread going to the dentist, knowing that I will treated with kindness and gentleness by the entire staff. Dr. Christiansen and Shelby were wonderful today. Absolutely outstanding service all around! Our dental hygienist, Shelby, was so sweet, patient and funny with my daughter! She made sure to explain everything to her before actually putting anything in her mouth which really helped smooth things along. Wess , the dentist himself was so kind hearted and patient as well! The building was well put together, very neat, clean and so cute!!!

You can easily see why they are voted Best every year! The stars speak for themselves - We searched a long time for a dentist and have seen our share of providers, so can say with assurance that we are very pleased to have discovered Dr. Christensen at Riverbend Dentistry. From the friendly front desk, techs and the Dr. himself, it matters to them how you feel about your dental procedures. We especially appreciate being able to SEE our teeth and the treatments they might need, as opposed to just being 'told' you need this or that done. They're upfront, no surprises and they are all so nice to be around. You won't dread this dentist office!
