For a visit that I doubt anybody likes, it couldn't of been a better experience...from the beginning to the end I have not one complaint , actually complete praise...only place I would go anymore for any oral procedures...it was as smooth as it could have possibly been, an experience that was much easier than I'd anticipated...the Dr was cream of the crop, the assistant I had was absolutely amazing, both great at what they do...the entire staff was just friendly and compassionate...I would highly reccomend RVOMS for any work you need done!!!

The most brutal, traumatizing dental experience of my life! Novacaine barely worked a wisdom tooth and molar ripped out in 5 minutes, no stitches, gauze stuck in my mouth and ushered out the back door!

Received a referral. Called and was told they didnt accept my insurance. Ok, this is only for a consultation,. I can pay cash. Waa told that With my insurance, i wasnt allowed to pay cash so they couldn't help me. Who doesnt take money? Just say you don't want my business.

The front desk was busy but was still polite. I had Courtney as my nurse who was very informing about all procedures as well as informing me about post extraction care. Dr. Thatcher was polite and respectful and did allow adequate time for the numbing. I was originally referred to River Valley for 2 extractions, but they saw a 3rd tooth that needed to be extracted as well. Dr. Thatcher took care of all 3 teeth that needed to be remove very quickly. I was in there for only about an hour. They did a great job.

I sat in there office for 40min waiting for my wisdom teeth removal and they rescheduled me cuz my ride was 5min from showing up. I don't consider them being professional at all. They didn't care to wait 5mins!!

Reading past reviews I am blown away! The staff was so polite! I have a horrible anxiety disorder . The desk people were so kind . Dr.Brad J.Lutchka was amazing he listened and just overall friendly! He had two teeth out in 4 minutes! The nurse gave me aftercare instructions and always checked on me . I'm not sure about you all leaving 1 stars but the facility is amazing with amazing staff!!

Was referred here by my dentist for an extraction of a molar. Procedure went well for the most part, Dr Thatcher was respectful and calm throughout the experience, and waited an adequate amount of time for the anesthetic agent to kick in before performing the extraction (despite it being late in the day and nearing closing time). My only issues with the services provided are as follows: -The equipment in this office is ancient. For someone going in for a major extraction or dental surgery this can be very unnerving. I imagine this office makes an absolute killing regarding revenue, so perhaps it's time to invest in some modern dental equipment. -Information regarding post-extraction care was very vague and unspecific. They will tell you to bite down on gauze for 30 minutes then send you off with an old pamphlet that contains very general and non specific information. When calling the office after the procedure to acquire more information regarding aftercare, you will be met with a receptionist who will not communicate your questions to a qualified dental practitioner, but only tell you to refer to the vague and un-informing pamphlet. Bottom line is, this office will provide extractions at a moderate price for those without insurance ($320 for an upper molar, not bad), but will offer little information regarding aftercare and will not easily answer your questions post op. At the end of the day this is a for-profit business, their first concern is not going to be the patient, it is going to be money. If you're looking for a more stress free experience, or struggle with severe dental anxiety, I would request a referral to a different office in the quad city area. If you're looking for a bargain and don't mind the issues listed above, this is the place for you.

Great experience for me, having Delta Dental insurance made my wisdom teeth extraction cheaper than I imagined. Doc Thatcher and nurses are swift with the procedure. Was nervous going into it and being under with an IV but it was a breeze!

Wow! So many bad reviews! I have been there twice in the last two years(most recently Feb. 2022) and can only say positive things about RVOS!Both times I was treated with courtesy and respect from the receptionists. The young lady that escorted me to the dental room was nice and tried to make me comfortable. Dr. Thatcher asked me how I felt,took his time with the extraction and made me feel confident with his treatment! I would not hesitate to go back!

Horrible Doctor to Patient communication definitely wouldn't have expected such rude and unthoughtful behavior out of someone that does Surgery on people, definitely do not recommend. And whatever you do, do not become ill or have something happen in your personal life or they will cancel you as a patient, even if it's only one missed appointment.

I had two wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Lutchka and he was smooth. Idk if he could sense I was freaked out or the staff told him I'm a "fainter" but I never really saw the needle and I bet he got those two teeth out in five mins, maybe less. He didn't mess around, didn't give me a chance to pass out. He and the staff were very nice, the lobby and room was clean, and it really didn't hurt that much at all. Maybe a 5 out of 10 on the pain scale at the moment of extraction of my really bad tooth. It's the next day right now and I haven't had to use the meds they gave me, just Advil. I'd like to never have to do this again but if I do I hope Dr. Lutchka and staff are still in practice.

I got my wisdom teeth removed by them and they did a fantastic job! Dr. thatcher and all of my nurses did an amazing job explaining everything to me and made me feel a lot better about the procedere. I was crying before I went to sleep because I was so nervous which made me cry and really anxious when woke up but the nurses were very patient and gentle with me to ensure me that everything was okay and they really helped me calm down! Overall a great experience!

Still working on getting a refund now in December 2021 when I made the payment in April 2021. The staff can't even figure out how to refund me. Every conversation I have with with the billing department they have an excuse as to why that can't issue the refund.

I had two teeth extracted and I found the staff and doctor to be very polite, considerate, compassionate, and efficient. Some of the reviews state that the staff and doctors are rude but I did not experience that at all. I am very happy with the way I was treated. They even called me the next morning to see how I was doing. That's not something they would do if they didn't care.

This was a great experience this is my first time ever leaving a review anywhere and I'm glad it was for here. The entire staff from front to back was like family and treated me like they've known me for years. Very informative and knowledgeable I appreciate everyone there from top to bottom. Got my wisdom tooth pulled and didn't fee a thing. And I didn't pay much because my insurance covered most of it and prescription was fairly cheap. Would recommend to anyone.

Receptionists were rude. Doctor told me that my say didn't matter, only his did. Quoted me 3x the amount my orthodontist told me I could expect to pay. Shamed me for having braces at 23. I was told previously I could have my surgeries done under local and he told me he absolutely would not do local. All they're after is money.
