Born and raised in the Greater Mankato area, Dr. Tom Pooley was attracted to the autonomy that dentistry provides. He worked at a local dental laboratory prior to attending dental school, but since then has flourished as a general and cosmetic dentist.
Outside of the office, Dr. Pooley enjoys many activities, some of which include water skiing, downhill skiing, softball, boating, biking, and playing cards. He lives in Mankato and is married to Hilary, with whom he has two children, Noah and Garrett.

The main doctor was mean when I asked him about some stain in my teeth due to a mouth wash recommended. He got mad and scratched off the stain with his tool leaving my front teeth with a scratched surface where the stain was. I believe this is s very unethical dentist. And should not be allowed to practice dentistry.

I have anxiety and there for had not been to a dentist for a decade. But the staff was very gentle and understanding. I will be coming back for regular visit thanks to a carrying and compassionate staff.

I have been going to RV Dental for several years. Today's experience was just a great as all of those prior. Dr. Poole and his staff are all very professional, personable and very accommodating. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

I am always amazed about the professionalism of everyone at every step of the dental process at River Valley Dental. Needed some work done as I had not been in for a while and they got me in right away and fixed lots of issues in 30 pleasant minutes. Fast, Friendly and Courteous, they patiently waited for me to pay bill off at $30 a month for almost 3 years, and they were kind about it. Had a tooth extraction, took care of me right away!

My appointment went very well. the hygienist did a thorough job of cleaning my teeth, checking my gums and polishing them up. The dentist did a good checkup and I was on my way. Made another appointment in 6 months.

Very friendly, professional, punctual. Shared important information and made my appointment very comfortable. I normally dislike going to the dentist but this was a very nice, stress less experience. I would highly recommend River Valley Dental.
