Dr. Carey joined the Rivers Edge Dental family in 2008. He brings excellence in comprehensive, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, with an expansive background of continuing education at some of the most prestigious postgraduate continuums across the nation.

Dr. Carey loves going to work every day, knowing he can help people achieve the smile of their dreams and a healthy smile for life. Its even more encouraging to knowthat the skills he developed during his formal and continuing education allow him to deliver the highest quality of care in a compassionate manner. It is his ultimate goal to provide patients with a truly better dental experience than they have ever had.

Dr. Careys interest in dentistry came from his father, a fantastic dentist and overall wonderful person. Growing up, Dr. Carey learned a lot about dentistry and how to treat people the right way by watching how his father treated people. Dr. Carey will always consider his father to be one of his great mentors.

Dr. Carey completed his undergraduate studies at theUniversity of Notre Damewith majors in pre-professional studies and psychology, and graduating magna cum laude. A graduate of theUniversity of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Carey has continued his postgraduate education with a special focus on the areas of cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, cosmetic bonding, and implants. He is one of the youngest participants in the nationto have attended the University of Minnesota Postgraduate Continuum in Esthetic Dentistry, a rigorous one-hundred-hour course thatfocuses on all aspects of cosmetic dentistry.

Along with Dr. Jessica, he has attended courses at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) in Nevada. Dr. Carey has also earned certifications in Lumineers and Invisalign, as well as completed a rigorous one-year continuum at the South Beach Dental Institutes implant seminar held in Boston. Through this extensive training, Dr. Carey has learned the most advanced techniques in implant placement and surgery.

Being at the top of what modern dentistry has to offer is of the highest priority to Dr. Carey. He is committed to offering his patients the most advanced systems, technology, and equipment as well as the newest and best techniques that dentistry has to offer.

Dr. Carey has set extremely high expectations for himself, the practice, and his team with regard to the overall dental experience his patients will have at Rivers Edge Dental. A five-star experience should be expected at each and every visit, every step of the way.

Dr. Carey takes pride in giving back to the community as well, and spent extensive time on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where he was part of a team of highly trained implant dentists who provided surgical procedures for underprivileged people there. Some of the procedures includedbone grafting, sinus lifts, extractions, and the placement of dental implants. He looks forward to the day he can return to help more people in need.

Closer to home, Dr. Carey participates in Team Smile, an organization that teams up the Minnesota Twins with a small group of dental professionals to provide dental care to inner-city children in need.

Dr. Carey and his wife Dr. Jessica have three children:Ryder, Camdyn, and Brady. He loves spending time with his family, finding joy in each moment they are together. Dr. Careys hobbies include golfing, traveling, and watching all sports. During the fall months, you will find him cheering hard for his Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in football, though his favorite sport is baseball. He was able to play in high school and throughout college as well as in the Cannon Valley League with the Hastings Hawks and Miesville Mudhens for many years. He is a huge fan of the Minnesota Twins and all Minnesota sports.

Dr. Jessica joined the Rivers Edge Dental Clinic team practice in 2008. She approaches dentistry with passion and a commitment to excellence, all while maintaining a happy, outgoing nature. Her focus is on comprehensive, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. She also has a longstanding interest in facial aesthetics, including the placement of Botox.

Dr. Jessica is a graduate of the University of Minnesotas School of Dentistry. She was one of the youngest doctors nationwide to attend the rigorous University of Minnesotas Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry. She has also attended the Las Vegas Institute (LVI), a yearlong implant continuum at the highly regarded South Beach Dental Institutes implant seminar held in Boston, and various other training programs to further her education in the dental field.

Dr. Jessicas goal is to be able to provide a higher standard of dental care in the safest environment possible, all while listening to your individual needs and desires. To ensure this, she elects to further her education by attending prestigious elective courses in cosmetic, endodontic, periodontal, implant dentistry, and facial aesthetics.

Dr. Jessica is a very caring and compassionate person who genuinely cares for each patient and places their individual oral health care needs above all else. She prides herself on performing gentle dentistry while maintaining a high quality of care. She desires to go the extra mile so that all her patients feel comfortable while having the Best Dental Experience possible. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and providing a wide variety of dental procedures.

One of Dr. Jessicas fondest memories in the dental field is going on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where she performed oral surgery extractions, bone grafts, sinus lifts, and dental implant surgeries, which enabled underprivileged patients to have access to high-quality dental care. It was truly a unique and humbling experience that she looks forward to doing again someday.

In her spare time, Dr. Jessica enjoys spending time with her children (3 beautiful boys), husband (Dr. Carey), and their wonderful extended family and friends. She enjoys staying active by playing sports of all kinds, traveling, bike riding, golf, and various other outdoor activities.

We welcomed Jayme to our office in 2011, first as a dental assistant, and now as an office manager. She always has a positive attitude and a constant smile, whether shes watching patients who are proud of their new smiles or seeing that shes made a difference in the life of just one individual. Her fun and bubbly personality brings our staff and patients joy as well!

Brenda welcomes patients into the practice, explains their treatment options and suggested plans, and helps them with creative payment options to make ideal oral health attainable. She excels at helping people understand how important dental health is and how our treatments can greatly enhance their oral and overall health. She enjoys being a part of helping patients move forward with a beautiful smile!

Having joinedRivers Edge in 2018, DeNae welcomes new patients, goes over treatment plans, and reviews payment options. When patients leave happy, DeNae gets satisfaction from knowing she went above and beyond to make a great experience for them. She is a perfect fit with our friendly team and always contributes to our great work environment.

As our patient care coordinator, Lynn provides excellent patient services, along with treatment planning and accounting. Thoughshe is a new member of our team, her previous experience includes working in a dental lab for six years. Now in a patient-facing position, Lynn enjoys her interactions with the families who visit our office and loves seeing all the happy smiles that leave!

Lynn is exceptionally proud of her three grown children:Bri, Blake, and Zach. To keep her company at home, she has two dogs. Lynns favorite activities are hiking, running, traveling, and reading, and shes a big fan of baseball, soccer, and football.

Trisha has been a part of our team since 1994, giving her more than 25 years of experience in ensuring our patients have the best experience while in our care. In addition to assisting, she also manages accounts, submits insurance, and processes claims. While she wears many hats in the office, she approaches each task with fun, professionalism, and a sense of teamwork.

Trisha was born and raised in Farmington. She and her husband Mike have two children, Drew and Amber, as well as the family dogs. As a family, they love camping, fishing, and the outdoors. Hockey is also high on her list. She enjoyed watching her son play for many years and LOVES the Minnesota Wild!

Our excellent team of dental hygienists works hard to develop relationships with our patients while evaluating their oral health for periodontal disease and decay, educating them on how to maintain optimal oral health, and encouraging them to develop good nutrition.

Amy is a 1999graduate from Minnesota State University of Mankato with a Bachelor of Sciencein dental hygiene. She has been with our practice for more than 18 years! Since she has more than 20 years of experience, she finds joy in her job and strives to give every patient a positive experience while making collaborative care plans for optimal health with the doctors and staff. She is conscientious, gentle, has a happy-go-lucky personality, and appreciates her patients! Amys attention to detail and enthusiasm to maintain high standards are appreciated by her patients. Connecting with people and putting a smile on her patients faces is her favorite part of her job.

When she is not here, she is running the trails or the road training for her next race! She has two children, Griffin and Autumn, with her husband Todd. As a family, they are often seen hiking as a family, at lacrosse games or walking their four-legged love of the family, Pippa!

Hannah graduated with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She joined a private practice office after graduation and transferred to Rivers Edge Dental in the Spring of2021.

Hannah married her husband, Cody in February of 2021 and they recently bought their first home together in Farmington, MN. Since then they have expanded their family by four paws. They adopted a white lab puppy and named her Gabby,.

In her spare time she enjoys working out, being at the cabin, shopping and hanging out with friends and family. She LOVES everything aviation including watching planes take off and land at MSP airport.

Dawn earned her Associate of Science at Normandale College in 1988 and joined our staff in 1998. Nearly 30 years later, she still loves her job as much as she did her very first day. Dawn likes helping people feel comfortable in a setting that isnt always a fun place to be. Shes great at building relationships and making patients feel at home.

Saskia graduated from Argosy University with her dental hygiene degree in 2017. Until joining us in 2020, she worked in general dentistry and did community service at Hope Dental Clinic and Community Dental Care in Maplewood. At Rivers Edge Dental Clinic, she gives patients a comfortable and pain-free experience while cleaning teeth and providing patient education. Her best reward is getting to build relationships with patients and helping them achieve oral health and a healthy, beautiful smile.

Saskia and her husband Aaron have two children, Leah and Brooks, as well as two Labrador retrievers. The family loves the outdoors; in the summer, they swim, fish, and go on boat rides, while winter brings sledding and ice fishing. Saskia is originally from Germany and is fluent in German and English.

Shelly began her dental health career in 1992 as a dental assistant in New York City. After moving to Minnesota, she realized she wanted to further her career in dentistry and pursued her bachelors degree in dental hygiene from the University of Minnesota. She also earned a graduate degree in psychology to help her understand and relate to her patients and their feelings when they cometo the dentist. Today, after nearly three decades in the dental field, Shelly is happy to be able to provide a health service coupled with compassion to encourage her patients to return for their preventive dental care.

Shelly and her husband are blessed with two amazing boys, one who attends the University in Wisconsin and one who will graduatefrom Farmington High School. Together as a family, they love going to the movies, hiking, trying new restaurants, game nights, and anything that involves spending time together. They also have two Chihuahuas, referred to as sweet and sour because even though they hate everyone who walks through the doors, they are still the two most loving doggies anyone could ask for!

Vicki began her career in dental hygiene in 1997, and ten years later, joined the Rivers Edge team. She loves interacting with her patients and helping them to maintain dental and overall health. Her positive attitude and attention to detail make her a great asset to our team!

Vicki has two children and five grandchildren with whom she loves spending as much time as possible. They enjoy bike riding, swimming, going to parks, baking, reading, and just snuggling! Her additional interests include home improvement projects, gardening, reading, sewing, walking, and watching good movies.

Our dental assistants are all licensed and certified in helping Drs. Carey and Jessica with patient care. Whether they are assisting with procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, or extractions, our assistants are here to make your dental experience as comfortable and positive as possible.

Cassie started dental school at DCTC in 2005 and graduated with her AAS in 2007. We were pleased to welcome her to the team in 2018. While her day-to-day duties include assisting the doctors in all dental procedures, from set-up to take-down and ordering supplies for the office, Cassies biggest goal is to make patients feel comfortable in the dental chair and give them the best experience possible, so they look forward to their next visit. She is a firm believer that little acts of kindness go a long way!

Cassie and her significant other Jon own a home in Farmington and have two little boys, Jaxson and Breckin. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy being outdoors, going for bike rides, grilling, and spending time with family and friends. Most days, you can find them at the rink enjoying their childrens passion: hockey!

Jayme is married to her high-school sweetheart! They have one son and one daughter, and are obsessed with their dog, Peety. Jayme stays busy with her kids sports and activities, as well as home projects.

Marissa assists Drs. Carey and Jessica Tri during a variety of treatment procedures, and maintains a clean, sterile, and positive atmosphere to optimize patient safety and comfort. Joining us in 2019, she earned her dental assisting degree from DCTC in 2014. Marissa most enjoys the variety of people she meets and procedures she performs, as well as being able to comfort someone who might be nervous going to the dentist and putthem at ease. However, her most favorite is giving someone their smile and confidence back!

Marissa and her husband Jordan have ason, Colton, along with their two dogs, Harley and Quinn. In her spare time, Marissa likes to be with family and friends:watching sports (especially the MN Vikings and Wild), attending concerts and comedy shows, doing puzzles, playing board games, baking, and shopping. In the winter, you can catch her ice fishing while playing cribbage!
