Dr. Tisha Hammons grew up in Katy, Texas. While attending Katy High School, Dr. Hammons was fortunate to be involved with the Youth Apprenticeship Program where she started her dental career as a Dental Assistant. This Program was the foundation of her aspiration for dentistry and evolved over time as she pursued her college education. In 2000 she received her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University.She continued to pursue her goal and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio in 2005.
Dr. Hammons has been living and practicing dentistry in New Braunfels, Texas for 13 years. She has a sincere passion for dentistry and the patients she serves. Dr. Hammons and her team strive to provide impeccable customer service with compassion and integrity. She is genuinely interested in her patients and developing long lasting relationships with their entire family. Dr. Hammons loves working with both children and adults and is committed to providing the highest quality care using the best and latest dental technology.
When not performing dentistry, Dr. Hammons is spending time with her husband, Jake and their three children. She enjoys life to the fullest professionally and personally. Her hobbies include; all outdoor activities, camping, visiting music venues and playing with her animals (4 dogs, 4 pigs, fish and a ferret). She even enjoys mowing the yard!
Jenny has been a dental hygienist for over 14+ years. She grew up on a small beef farm in Americas dairy land, Wisconsin. In 2006, she earned her RDH degree from Western Technical College in La Crosse, WI. To say Jenny enjoys what she does is an understatement. She thrives from understanding, communicating and developing patient relationships not only dentally, but also on a personal level.
In the summer of 2019, Jenny, her husband and autistic son traded in snow boots for flip flops by moving cross country from WI to TX to escape the harsh cold weather. They love not having to shovel or experience -30s temperatures ever again. Just ask her how much she loves the TX weather!
Besides spending time with her family and fur babies, Jenny enjoys gardening, free-lance writing, crafting, and soaking up the sun by the pool. Her mantra is Life is a Beautiful Struggle. Thus, making her live each day to the fullest, despite what life throws her way.
Angelica A. Urista (Abby) was born and raised in Seguin, Texas. Abby earned her Registered Dental Assistant license from The University of Texas Health Science Center in 2013. She has been working alongside Dr. Hammons as a dental assistant for five years. She is certified in coronal polishing, sealant placement, and nitrous oxide monitoring. Abby loves interacting with patients and building relationships with them and their families.
When Abby is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has two dogs and loves all outdoor activities. She is currently continuing her education, striving to reach her goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist.
Crystal M Cardenas was born and raised in Seguin, Texas. In 2008 she earned her RDA from Kaplan Career College in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout her 10 years of dental assisting she has also earned certificates in Coronal Polish and Pit and Fissure sealants. She has attended the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and is continuing her education to achieve her goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist.
She has worked with Dr. Hammons for the past 10 years. Crystal enjoys spending time with family, friends and her fur baby Rex. She Ioves being around water, and hates to admit it, but loves being team mom to her sons football team.
Annie Almaraz was raised in Northern California. She attended Sacramento City College and obtained her Registered Dental Assisting License in 2004. During her 15 years in the dental field she has worked as a chairside dental assistant, front office/insurance coordinator and has taught dental assisting courses. She truly enjoys what she does. She enjoys the constant room for growth and learning in the dental field.
Annie moved to Texas in 2018 with her husband and two sons and they really like living here. In her free time Annie enjoys spending time with her family, they love to explore. One of their favorite places to spend the day is at The Pearl, they enjoy the Farmers Market and their 5 year old loves the splash pad. Annie is looking forward to what is to come as she gets to know Texas.

Got me in without issue in a timely manner, all staff was very friendly and professional. Beautiful office. Explained things to me in a manner I could understand and were not pushy with treatments. Allysa (hygienist) did an amazing job and asked me multiple times if I was okay and checked on my comfort. Dr. Hammond's is very friendly and easy to talk to. Will be coming back.

I my FOREVER DENTIST! From the warm welcome you receive upon entering to the care and comfort they offer throughout your dental experience! I really loved the dentist until I had a really bad experience River RUN Family Dentist took away my fears, explained everything they were doing [Before doing so], and ways had my comfort & ccare top of mind right down to the shades to keep the bright lights outta my pretty brown eyes! I have always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner. And this last time I had a terrible tooth ache, I was able to get an appointment same day. The staff and doctor are kind and explain everything thoroughly. I highly recommend River Run Dentistry for all your dental needs. I just recently had a deep clean & it all went very smoothly. I have never compared prices with other dentists for same procedures.... It seemed expensive but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for - I am impressed with the professionalism and the quality of service.

Off to a great start! Today was my first visit and the outcome was not expected. Hadn't been to a dentist for a year due to surgery when usually I go the the dentist every 3 months. Surprise!! Everything that was discovered was explained in depth, as were the costs to bring my teeth back to (almost) normal for a lot less than my past dental provider. I would recommend this dental office to anyone needing a dentist that cares for the individual patient!

Dr. Hammons is not the right fit for me. Last week: Seen Dr. Hammons with a loose front tooth #6 ,this tooth is already crowned. They took x-rays and Dr. did nothing but refer me out to Endo. Yesterday: Endodontist stated the crown needs to be removed to view the tooth. This way the actual tooth can be examined. Per Endo x-ray will not show the tooth to see if it can be saved or not. Today: I went back to Dr. Hammons office today only to have repeat x-ray done of the same #6 tooth from last week and yesterday(Endo did 3 x-rays yesterday and sent to Hammons office). Instead of removing the crown to see what the heck is going on. Dr. Hammons referred me out again! Dragging out far to long for me... another week with an infected gum and a loose tooth... in my opinion does not care-I will NOT be back.
