In 2001, Dr. Rachelle Hardy purchased the dental practice of the late Dr. Allen Gore located in Cary, IL and founded Cary Family Dental. Dr. Hardy quickly expanded the office and required more space for technology, our team and overall patient comfort and relaxtion. To achieve a higher-quality of patient care, we moved the office in October 2003 to the River Pointe Professional Building in Fox River Grove. The move increased our space to over 2,200 square feet with enough space for 5 procedure rooms, a new sterlization and labratory, digital X-Rays including a Panographic X-Ray machine, new computers and televisions. We recently remodeled our floors in Fox River Grove using sustainable Bamboo flooring, new equipment, and cabinetry. Please pardon our dust as we freshen up the paint and continue to make improvements to Fox River Grove throughout 2014.

In 2004, we opened our second River Pointe Dental location in Huntley, IL. River Pointe Dental of Huntley, LLC was first located on Route 47 and after 10yrs of serving the Huntley community, we decided to expand and relocate. The new Huntley office is now located in the Huntley Professional Center on Ruth Rd. just north of Kiley. Like Fox River Grove, Huntley now features 5 procedure rooms, new sterilization and lab facilitites. To further reduce our carbon footprint, the Huntley office takes advantage of the latest Green Building Techniques. We used low VOC paint & materials, Cambria Natural Stone countertops, Water saving toilets and faucets, formaldehyde free boards in our custom cabinets and LED lighting instead of flourescents. Our committment to green dental technology started when we first opened. We are constantly seeking ways to make your visit more healthy for you and for our team. It is the reason why we adopted digital X-Ray technology over 10yrs ago. No longer does our dental office smell like a photo laboratory from the developing fluid and chemicals used to develop traditional X-Ray images.

Dr. Hardy has been practicing denstistry for the past 17yrs. She created River Pointe Dental under the guiding philosophy of creating a warm, family friendly, tranquil environment focused on the highest quality dental-care. Dr. Hardy refuses to cut corners and uses some of the best materials and advanced technologies available on the market. By leveraging the latest technology in the dental industry, River Pointe Dental is a leader when it comes to your dental health. In 1995, Dr. Hardy completed her undergraduate degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. She went on to study dentistry at the UIC College of Dentistry earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1999. Dr. Hardy furthered her dental education in Dayton, OH by completing a General Practice Residency Program in IV conscious sedation from Miami Valley Hospital. In her free time Dr. Hardy enjoys traveling the globe with her family, spending time at the beach and regular workouts of tennis, spin classes, Zumba and pilates.

Dr. Jelena ivkovi Dr. Jelena obtained her DMD degree from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. After moving to the United States, she was accepted into the UIC College of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class with a DMD degree. Dr. Jelena joined the River Pointe Dental team because she shares our philosophy of creating a warm, family friendly, tranquil environment focused on the highest quality dental-care. In her senior year, Dr. Jelena was selected to the prestigious OKU National Dental Honor Society and is a currently a member of American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois Academy of General Dentists, Hispanic Dental Association, and American College of Prosthodontists. When out of the dental office, Dr. Jelena enjoys spending time with her family, and being outdoors. Welcome to our team!

Julie was our first employee when Dr. Hardy purchased the practice in 2001 where she served as both dental assistant and receptionist. Julie later earned her dental hygiene degree and has been a familiar face in our office for the past 13years.
