Dr. Sean Fleming and Dr. McLean Severson, cousins through marriage, both come from large families, have children of their own, and understand the commitment of parenting. They look forward to offering an extensive list of services to meet your familys oral health needs.
Dr. Victoria Severson was born and raised in Golden Valley, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota and received her Bachelors degree in biology. She continued on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where she graduated first in her class. Dr. Severson maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, and the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Dental Society. Dr. Severson enjoys all aspects of dentistry, allowing her to follow patients through their treatment needs. She places great importance in building connections with patients to help them feel comfortable and confident in their dental care. She believes in empowering patients to make well informed decisions about their dental treatment in order to achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
Dr. Severson obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry after earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from Benedictine College. Dr. Severson has received extensive post-doctoral training in Dental Implantology, Oral Surgery, Sedation Dentistry, Endodontics, and Cosmetics. He serves on the Project Haiti Board of Advisors and is the director of Project Haiti Dental. He is an associate faculty member at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Severson is a passionate clinician that finds fulfillment in working with his patients in all facets of dentistry. He enjoys that he can alleviate pain, restore the ability for somebody to eat the food they love, and give people the ability to smile with confidence and joy. He is most motivated by working with patients that struggle with dental anxiety.
If you have not met Dr. Severson, it wont take long for you to realize that his caring, communicative and approachable demeanor will make you feel comfortable. You wont feel judged. He excels in listening to his patients, educating them, and understanding their needs. He focuses on empowering and motivating with simplified solutions to his patients needs and by involving them in the treatment plan so he can best help achieve their goals. Dr. Severson truly cares about what is best for you and finds joy in helping you achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Dr. Severson met his wife during his 1st day in dental school. They now have 4 girls and live in the home he was raised in Deerwood, MN. He enjoys spending time with his family; Victoria (his wife), McKenna, Adeline, Amelia, and Margot. He enjoys road and mountain bicycling, Minnesota professional sports (especially the Vikings), but he is most happy spending time outside with his friends and family on or near the lake.

I recently broke off a piece of my tooth while eating a pretzel. River Oaks Dental scheduled me in a timely manner, & I'm all set to get a crown on that tooth. They've replaced several old crowns, I have regular cleanings, & I'm always pleased with their work! Great Dentists, staff, & always an excellent experience. June O.
