My name is Khadijah Mckinney, and I currently work as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant here at River Oak Dental. My interest in dentistry sparked around the age of 10, having wearing braces for the majority of my childhood and teens, I found myself becoming more and more intrigued with dentistry, which eventually led me to pursue a career in the field.
In my spare time, I like spending quality time with my mother Brenda and older sister Ashley. Our favorite thing to do as a family is to watch Family Feud together, trying to guess all the number one answers. I am also a bit of a book worm and tend to always have my nose in a really good mystery or sci-fi book.
As of today, my personal main goal as an assistant is to help you maintain and achieve your ideal smile, as well as provide you the comfort and care during your dental treatment, which I feel is just as important as the treatment itself.

I've been going to River Oak Dental for a few years now. Absolutely outstanding staff, they make you feel very welcome and comfortable. As an immunocompromised patient living during a global pandemic I had legitimate fears about going to the dentist again and establishing with a new one due to the complexities of my PI. Their continued adherence to PPE protocol even during these waning days of covid made me feel safe. The thoroughness with which my records were reviewed and discussed with me by staff and physician, left no doubts in my mind that I've found the right place. Truly impressed.

The staff is always prompt for your appointment. Shelley is an excellent hygenist, very helpful and friendly, knowlegeable. I really enjoy her chatty rapoire that makes the appointment go by too quickly. Dr. Marshall always goes above and beyond to help you pick the right treatment plan. This is an outstanding practice. Kudos to the front office staff as well.

I was very impressed with the modern Dental technology that was used on me it was painless effective. The dental insurance worked out for me and saved me some money. Dr. Marshall is the most communicative and understanding dentist I have ever been to, and I have been through the wringer when it comes to dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons. Her staff is empathetic, kindhearted, knowledgeable and dedicated to providing a top level of care. The office is spotless, there isn't stressful news or TV playing in the background, and they take pride in their workspace, even going so far as to give you a short tour. My treatment plan was carefully put together and decided upon after a thorough assessment of my dental health and legitimate consideration of my input and history. The cost was reasonable, and considering some of the work/products I required, it frankly came in under what I was expecting. I truly had peace of mind that my best interest and long term health were of the utmost importance throughout the visit and I cannot be thankful enough for being treated like a human being, not just a piggy bank and filled timeslot. A big thank you to Dr. Marshall's entire office staff. They lead by example and hold themselves to an elite standard of care. I 100% reccomend.

Michael was very thorough and presented every action to me so I would know what was being done. Dr. Marshall was also thorough, checking things and giving me feedback that no other dentist before has. The entire staff was wonderful and I would highly recommend River Oak Dental for those needing a friendly and thoughtful staff!
