Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

This place does not take in to consideration that people have other things to do. October 3 called to reschedule an appointment, 7 calls later and 45 mins on hold I was able to finally get someone to help me. Showed up for the appointment sat in the waiting room for 30(got there 15 mins early), they asked me to e check in. But what they really meant was hey can you re-enter your medical records, and all the information we had until our systems changed, and we don't want to put money into have a staff member handle it. We are now 30 mins past our appointment. The manager says I received a call to fill out my paperwork, which I showed her I received no phone call. Needless to say I had to reschedule because we had things to do, for the following day got there at 3:50 appointment at 4 sat there til 4:15. The girl at the front desk played off like we left to go outside and she had called us. We had been in there the entire time. Not to bad, but we sat for another 15 mins waiting. A cleaning took an hour, they sat us back in the waiting room to check out and we sat there for another 20 mins just waiting to sign papers and get a copy of his file so we could get treatment elsewhere. Mind you there was Us and another lady only! Never got that paperwork signed because we left. We love the orthodontist office, though!

The dentists are great. It is the rest of the experience that makes you want to pull your hair out. First, the front office is terribly under staffed. 2 receptionists are responsible for phone, check in, scheduling, payments and everything else. If that wasn't bad enough, thanks to the online check in they adopted, the two receptionists spend so much time trying to show patients how to use an iPad or if they know their login and password. They spend 15 minutes just trying to get people to check in online. I waited 30 minutes just to pay for my appointment so I could leave. If you come here, plan on a long wait to get through the receptionist. It isn't their fault, they need more staff.

Do not go here! I allowed myself to be swayed by the positive reviews. This place has the most incompetient office staff we have ever encountered. I try to remain positive if people are being rude or doing things incorrectly - it's usually just a one off. But *every single* visit has been terrible with their office staff. For example: I was overbilled around $500 over the course of a few months for fillings. I had to contact our dental insurance who investigated and forced them to return the money they had incorrectly taken. I had to wait months to get the refund. You would think that they would fix their errors and start correctly billing us after this encounter. They didn't. Six months or so later my wife visited and they said she really needed "laser irrigation" because her gums were bad. They attempted to charge my wife over $500 for it (it was covered under our plan) and had a $25 copay. After we spoke to our insurance plan they told us that this facility was incorrectly billing dental codes and overcharging again. The insurance plan sent an Explanation of Benefits to them outlining that they were incorrectly billing and to stop overcharging us. So of course our visit is postponed for months until they get that sorted out. She visits again and they say it's $225 for the servicies. I tell them *again* that they are wrong since I conference called the insurance and their office manager and I thought they had it figured out. So of course, my wife doesn't get the treatment. I had them pull a pre-authorization, submitting all the codes so the insurance can verify them and we have an appointment scheduled for months later. To ensure they don't mess up I called them the morning of the appointment to ensure they had it correct, they said they did. So she shows up, they attempt to charge her $125 instead of $25. I conference call my insurance with them AGAIN. They finally get it sorted out but, oh, in the 40 mins it took to get it sorted out AGAIN her appointment is cancelled and they have her come back the next day for her visit. So she shows up, they finally charge her the correct amount. Now that they cannot overcharge, all of a sudden she "doesnt need" the treatment they told her she needed and we went through all this headache for. Really? So she tells the doctor "You told me I needed this treatment a few months ago!" The doctor denies it, checks the chart, and then realizes she did and provides her with the treatment. Additionally, I go in for a root canal and crown and they incorrectly bill the crown to the wrong type of doctor so the claim gets denied so I had to have them fix that so the insurance covers it. Then my wife gets an implant, we pay up front the 3k or so and then get bills in the mail for the implant. They claim they "moved to a new system and they payment didn't transfer over," so we had to sort that out. To summarize: They don't learn from their mistakes. They overbill. They consistently deliver horrible customer service, and if you don't like it, the office manager, Anita, will give you sarcasm and attitude as the cherry on top. There was one office lady who attempted to be helpful but she would have to refer to her office manager who was nothing of the sort.

My first visit was great. However, after that they have been really inconsistent. I will Schedule a cleaning 6 months in advance to fit my work schedule, only to later have them call and tell me they have to reschedule. One cleaning was rescheduled 3 times on their end. Due to their repeated cancellations for whatever reasons, I went over a year without a cleaning. I have always had my cleanings setup to fall over Christmas break and summer break so that I don't have to be out of my classroom, but they've completely detailed that system.

I would not recommend. The wait time is terrible at the dentist and orthodontist office. It's hard to get someone on the phone. The staff was talking right outside my daughters door complaining about her being there fifth referral for the day and that we were 20 minutes late, which wasn't true. We've never got a call back for the referral they were making to an oral surgeon or for the plan for her braces. I've called them and still have not received a call back. It feels like clients are an inconvenience. I gave them two stars because the orthodontist was nice and provided accurate info, and the front desk person at the orthodontist office was friendly. I ended up taking my daughter to a different place (Montano) and they are fantastic! I would not recommend Riverlakes.

I was very skeptical about coming here just because I read the reviews. I'm so happy I gave them a chance for myself. I was able to get 3 appointments for my kid's all on the same day and they where able to make the appointment for a few days after I called. That never happens. The staff had such wonderful communication skills and made my boys feel so welcomed. I feel it is much easier to write a bad review then to write one with a good experience. Please give them a chance and judge them for yourself. I'm so glad I did.

The wait time is awful, I stopped going over a year ago because the billing mistakes with my insurance costs me thousands. My husband had several root canals, and bridge put in. Here we are a year later and all the dental work has failed, it has to all be redone. Our new dentist even commented on the horrible job of his teeth. AVOID this place!!

Terrible! I waited 40 minutes to be seen, well actually to do x-rays first and then be seen. When I asked the receptionist how long it would be after waiting so long she was very rude. They didn't even apologize for the wait at any time even after I said I'd rather reschedule because they said it would be a lot longer. They have very bad customer service. I really bit my tongue with a lot I could have said because I'm not rude. Really disappointed in this place its not like it used to be, it really changed for the worse and that's very unfortunate.

Please never go here, I haven't went to dentist in a long time due to the abuse from this dentistry. I was getting a root canal and it was so painful, I wasnt numb, i waved my hand in the air and was very vocal about it. The dentist kept working on the root canal and kept saying almost done, it was excruciating pain. I have sense got brave enough to go to a new dentist and they made me realize a dentist appointment isnt all that scary. I've suffered extreme anxiety from the dentist after this place. Best part ironically, the root canal wasnt even good, my new dentist is amazed at how bad of a job they did.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Terrible customer service. I had some cavities that needed to be filled, the dentist did a terrible job and never fixed it. Fast forward 5 years later and my then 12 year old needed braces. I decided to give them a second chance and I completely retreat it. The girls at the ortho office are extremely rude. I got my daughter a retainer after she got her braces off and she lost it so I had to ordered a new one, I was told it would take weeks but if I paid extra I would get it sooner so I did. I didn't receive it when I was supposed to but I still got charged extra money and never received a refund. We went to Thurman Orthodontics on November 2021 and such a big difference. Night and day! At Thurman Orthodontics every one is extremely nice and professional and are on top of everything. Definitely recommend Thurman Ortho!!!!

Make sure they don't charge you twice or more. I've waited 7 days for my refund only to be told "you haven't got your check yet"? They told me they would credit my credit card but haven't and at some point sent me a check..? Still waiting for the issue to be rectified. Even sounded surprised I was mad..? I was Told I am to wait another 2-5 business days.

Push and push their products they make and overcharge on everything. Not to mention, you may get a dentist you really like only to have them leave about every 4-6 months.
