Dr. Martirossian is a dentist committed to continually improving his ability to change his patients lives through dentistry. This means that he is continually learning about new and better approaches to dentistry and honing his abilities in his practice.
He was the lead dental advisor and the cosmetic treatment doctor for the Mother/Daughter Makeover Challenge sponsored by the Bergen Health and Life Magazine. He has been selected as a top dentist by the Consumers Research Council of America for many years.
Dr. Martirossian has also been studying at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI). LVI is the premier school for advanced cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. He has studied the use of cosmetic dentistry to correct complex cases and achieve outstanding results. He has also studied the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) using neuromuscular dentistry. He has also studied the treatment of sleep apnea using oral appliances. Most recently, Dr. Martirossian has been studying implant dentistry at gIDE.

When hes not practicing or studying as a dentist, Dr. Martirossian enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife Lia and their three children. He also enjoys his hobbies, such as travel, skiing, and tennis.
Dr. Hirschfeld was raised in Randolph, NJ. She attended The Pennsylvania State University where she graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. She continued on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. While at Tufts, she served as a tutor and TA for many courses, traveled to the Dominican Republic for a dental service trip, and started the Tufts Chapter of Childrens Miracle Network Dance Marathon. Dr. Hirschfeld also received awards in operative dentistry and special needs dentistry.
Following dental school, Dr. Hirschfeld completed a General Practice Residency at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. During her very busy hospital-based residency program, she treated hundreds of patients for their general dentistry needs as well as dental implants, oral surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry, root canals, esthetic procedures, and oral pathology needs. She had extensive training in management and treatment of patients with severe dental and facial trauma in the emergency room as well as clearance for medical and surgical procedures. She also spent a lot of time in the operating room treating patients with special needs as well as facial trauma surgeries. Dr. Hirschfeld loves to learn and is committed to continue advancing her training through continued education each year in order to provide her patients with the best possible care.
Dr. Hirschfeld is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and New Jersey Dental Association. She also plans to join the staff at Morristown Medical Center.
In her free time, Dr. Hirschfeld enjoys working out, checking out the best places to eat, snowboarding, and spending time with her husband, friends, and family. Dr. Hirschfeld loves what she does and looks forward to taking care of your dental and overall health!
Dr. Serrano graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2016. He then went on to further his education in dentistry by completing a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Colorado. He spent the following 4 years serving as a dentist in the United States Army, where he practiced until early 2021. His passion for dentistry stems from his own experience where he received veneers while in high school to correct his smile, which forever changed his life. He is very passionate about the care that he provides for his patients as he fondly recalls the impact that it had on his life. He now lives in Paramus, NJ (which is where he went to high school) with his wife and Australian shepherd dog. Together, he and his wife have traveled the world, which is his favorite hobby. In his spare time, he enjoys playing jazz on the alto saxophone and watching Netflix!

I have nothing but great things to say about River Edge Dental. I have been coming here for 7 years and am so happy with the service I receive every single time I visit. Starting with how amazing the staff is - so kind & courteous. Mariana & Kayla are such great Hygienists and make the cleaning experience actually pleasurable. Dr. H is so "light" with her hands & answers all questions patiently. Artisha is also wonderful if you're there for a retainer or mouth guard scan. And the cherry on top is how clean the office is. Esthetics is very important to me and River Edge gets an A+! Always spotless and smells good. Never thought I'd leave a Dentist's office smiling, but I can assure you I do here! Highly recommend!!!

This is the best dental office i have ever been too. I had a pretty awkward cosmetic case and dr.Serrano was able to put his magic to work and give me the BEST results possible he was very friendly and outgoing and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. The ladies at the front desk were also amazing and attentive with the best communication possible. I had about 3-4 appointments throughout 2 weeks and every time I walked in they knew who I was and ready to get me in the chair. I love everything about this place and the experience I had :)

I found River Edge Dental through a Google search about a year ago and am so thankful I did. The team (yep, TEAM) - from reception to billing to oral health - are all incredibly kind, attentive and invested in your experience in their office. My hygenist, Kayla is the literal best. She talks through every single step of each process, including aftercare and just has a gentle ease about her that makes you feel instantly comfortable (even if, like me, your mouth is a bit of a mess). The same can be said for Dr. Hirschfeld. In fact, I had such a good experience that I brought my 3-year-old for a dental check-up as well and even she left with a smile, which really speaks volumes. If you're on the fence, give them a try.

My family has been going here for years, always a very good experience. But this week, my 75-year old husband was not told ahead of the appt that the hygienist was not vaccinated. That should have been communicated a head of time so we could make a proper decision, given he's gone nowhere in two years to avoid covid.

I've never been to a doctors office that is so warm and welcoming. Every time I walk in the door I feel like I'm catching up with old friends who are also taking a peek inside my mouth. All information is delivered tactfully and respectfully, even when they're informing you to make a dental care change. Dr. Marlen has his patients best intentions in mind at all times. I have a crown that he refused to put on because it didn't quite match the rest of my teeth right. That was one of the first experiences I had at the office, years ago, I'm so happy that it still matches and looks amazing. The rest of the team are also so warm, welcoming, and educated. From chatting with Barbara on common interests to Laura & Heidi going above and beyond trying to get me in when others cancel. I've only had Ana R. and she is a calming, refreshing presence when I have to have a dental procedure. Marijana and Erica are the dental hygienists who I see the most and they are both incredible! As previously stated, they take the time to check in with me about life and engage in the conversation completely. Erica is who I've been working with lately and I can honestly say that she is an asset and wonderful addition to the practice. She fits in to the mold that I've come to know and love about RiverEdge Dental. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who has a hesitant view of a dental office.
